Senate Republicans put it all together yesterday when they managed to hang several amendments on the senate version of the Election Bill resulting from voting irregularities from the most recent General Election.
Most would agree that the findings of the “Sam Reed Dog and Pony Show,” otherwise known as the Election Task Force, were somewhat lacking. Essentially, they were utterly worthless. Senate Republicans, however, put some teeth into the bill and, assuming the House democrats do their duty and “Governor” Gregoire shows even a modicum of integrity, then progress has been made and substantial steps have been taken to address the serious lapses in Voter Law that have allowed fiascos such as the effort of November last to occur.
Congratulations to the entire Senate… on both sides of the aisle.

Republicans have introduced a flurry of amendments on a series of election-overhaul bills that started to hit the floor Friday, but yesterday was the first day the GOP had any success on the issue in the Democrat-controlled Senate.
