Media hiding reality. Is it based on raced?

Recently, two teenagers were found shot to death within a mile of each other on I-5 in the vicinity of the North 85th Street on-ramp towards North Seattle.

This was the headline picture on KIRO 7 News:

Couple of happy, sweet-looking kids... maybe 5th graders.

But that's not the reality of today. THIS is the reality of today:

You won't see or read anything about this in the story by KIRO 7's Debra Horne.

Why won't you?

Why was this left out?

I appreciate Debra Horne's reportage. But sometimes, I get the feeling that we're not being told the whole story for some reason. And why might that be?
These were not "children". Why are they being portrayed that way? Why is their gang-banger wannabe profile being withheld? Why not tell the WHOLE truth? Why show their pictures as if they were 11?
Is this a tragedy? Perhaps. But if so, it was a tragedy years in the making with this inevitable outcome and all this "grief" is a product of those portrayed as parents and relatives and who are definite accessories for this outcome.
If black lives are to matter... then why didn't the lives of these kids matter back when something could be done to impact this horrific outcome?
Why is this being soft-sold? Why not tell the WHOLE truth?
Is the picture with these kids playing gangster stereotypical?

Absolutely. But that's neither here nor there. It's ALSO the TRUTH.

Was it left out so as to not possibly interfere with the obligatory GoFundMe rip off pages set up for the funeral of these gangsters? (As of this writing, just under $25,000 has been raised in part due to Horne's advertisement and pictures showing then-innocent children as opposed to now, the not-so-innocent gangster types)

There's an element of fraud to all of this. And Horne, et al, damned well know it.

This is more than a blatant attempt at total manipulation. They knew it, and anyone reading their tripe knew it.

And this is why media becomes increasingly less-trusted and more despised.

Had Horne laid out the WHOLE story, the families wouldn't have made a dime off this inevitable outcome. So, she didn't.

Simple, really, when you think about it.

I wrote this a year ago: still applies today. Today’s random thought: why does the media hide war and violence from us?

The thought occurred to me this morning that in America, we don’t see real violence. We don’t see real war. We don’t see real murder. We don’t see the results of a DUI where innocents are killed and/or maimed. We don’t see people getting shot or stabbed to death. We don’t, for example, see the bodies of children blown apart by Russian missiles/bombs. We live in a pixilated reality.

Why?
The irony of all of this is we’re regaled with the FAKE, FICTIONAL variety of those acts all the time. But when we see it in a movie or the odd TV show, we don’t react nearly as much as we would if we saw the real thing because our conscious mind is typically able to separate the fictional from the real.
For example, right now in Iran, the government of that country routinely arrests, murders and sexually assaults women who refuse/protest against their idiotic hajib rules. As many as 1200 girls were recently poisoned in schools over this issue. THERE female oppression is VERY real.
But we don’t see it. We’re not allowed to see it. Because what the media shows us are vague, pixilated shots that could be anything but which only vaguely resembles the outline of what could be a human being.
We don’t see actual mangled bodies. We don’t see people blown to pieces. We don’t see torture victims. We’re left to imagine it if we believe it’s happened at all.
Why is that? Who made the decision that we can’t be “offended” by reality?
Another example is gun shots. Media plays word games: In real life, someone shot but not killed is “wounded,” not “injured.”
Athletes get “injured.” Since when was the decision made to expand the word “injured” to cover bullet or other wounds inflicted as a result of war or crimes?
Many reading this have never noticed these nuanced uses of words. Few seeing these pixilated images that force us to take the narrator’s word for it as opposed to making our own judgments by using our own eyes (After all, didn’t someone at some point say that “a picture is worth a 1000 words?”) to see for ourselves, even realize it.
I believe that these decisions have become policy to keep us from becoming inflamed with true outrage.
What would America’s attitude towards those pushing fentanyl be if we were shown the actual corpses of the children who died from these overdoses?
How much would we be favoring allowing anyone to drink/use drugs and then drive, slaughtering thousands on our roads every year in the face of our own legislature refusing to drop the blood alcohol content for a DUI standard while hundreds will die on this state’s roads because these same people, floating on a sea of mostly free alcohol, refuse to put themselves at risk for these charges and refuse to do that which they demand we do: don’t drink and drive?
King County has no more room at the morgue because of drug use. Would it be helpful if we were shown what actually happens if you OD on drugs? Would the ignorant in, say, Oregon, which is now perhaps the most drug infested state in the country have voted for legalization had they actually seen the REAL impacts of drug use before their vote?
The Real World is frequently brutal. And in this country, much of the brutality is because we ALLOW it. We ALLOW gun crime. We ALLOW the sale of these drugs that are killing us. We ALLOW our troops to get engaged in wars we have no business in. We ALLOW shootings, rapes and assaults because we, as a nation, rarely see the true reality of what these things do. We ALLOW and DO BUSINESS with China who uses slave labor and imprison hundreds of thousands of people because they happen to be Muslim. We do NOTHING except to continue to shovel hundreds of millions of dollars to Iran who is beating their own people to death merely because they can and these people happen to disagree with archaic rules used to oppress an entire gender.
Would the Gay Lobby be so supportive of these people if they could get a close up look at what happens to people thrown off roof tops of buildings because they happen to be homosexual?
You know, TRUE oppression and tyranny? The real thing? The irony of gays supporting Palestine pegs the meter: what would happen to these same people if they were gay and actually IN Palestine?
I believe that many of the American perceptions of these things are based on an imposed level of ignorance. I believe that this is just one of many areas where we are deliberately kept in the dark so we don’t KNOW.
Because to KNOW is to be OUTRAGED. Because what are the impacts on government if the American people became truly enraged?
And we can’t have that.
Can we?

OK, CNN, can you explain why this clown still has a job?

A few days ago, on another propaganda effort designed to keep people on the leftist plantation (King-Charles on your network) they were discussing a snippet of a comment made by Mr. Trump who had indicated that at least part of the black voter reaction to his legal issues included seeing blacks wearing t-shirts with his mug shot on them, Charles Barkley, a long retired former NBA jock who at one point, back in his "I'm not paid to be a role model," days, indicated he'd play for the Klan if the money was right:

“I can be bought. If they paid me enough, I’d work for the Klan.”

Said this:

“First of all, I’m just gonna say this: if I see a Black person walking around with a Trump mug shot, I’m gonna punch him in the face.”

When King responded the way you'd expect a normal cohost to respond: “Charles, you can’t say that because you don’t mean that.”

Barkley replied: “I mean that sincerely,”

“And then you will be arrested for assault and then what?” King asked.

“I’m gonna go bail myself out and go celebrate,” Barkley said.

For my part, I also would have asked: "and how much can you afford with the lawsuits that follow," since this guy's major motivation is clearly money.

But that's neither here nor there.

In 2024, Mr. "I'm not paid to be a role model" ripped the scab off the unpleasant reality of leftist hatred and bigotry in the current campaign.

Does anyone reading this remotely believe that if a WHITE talk show cohost on CNN said that they'd be employed on that network (or any other) today... or ever?

Of course not. And I get that it's OK in the minds of some for blacks to threaten each other much like they shoot each other these days and no one does anything about it.

But this is the kind of remark where Mr. Trump is blamed for the non-existent insurrection the left keeps lying about.

Leftists demand that Trump be imprisoned because in their hate-filled minds, they've already convicted him for something he has never even been charged for.

Barkley is, in fact, guilty of stirring up race-based hatred because Trump, of course, is white... and how dare any black anywhere support someone white who is to the right of Mao?

How can this guy still be on TV? How can anyone be threatening violence, who said, of his own volition, that he "meant it sincerely?"

Barkley, who is his own biggest fan by far, needs to be held accountable.

But he won't be.

And we all know why.

Meanwhile, a few very large black men, including Mike Tyson, have shown up on social media wearing the shirts in question suggesting that they "understand Charles Barkley is looking for" them.

Barkley, for his part, is now on the apology tour and even speaks to certain political realities: mainly, that democrats have done nothing for blacks and that the only time they care about them is every 4 years around election time.

He knows that. He clearly understands that. But he insists on continuing the insanity of devotion to a political party that has not gone beyond taking black voters completely for granted... while seemingly expecting a different outcome as a reward for black voter devotion to leftist racism.

This video from The Black Conservative channel on YouTube explains it:

Revisiting the insanity of the teacher union rip off known as the McCleary decision/budget.

Even after all these years, no one anywhere has explained to me where the State Constitution gives the Supreme Court the power/authority to require/order the Legislature to do anything.

That ability simply does not exist, any more than the Legislature can order the Supreme Court to produce a specific judicial decision in a specific case.

All of the fake Republicans who voted for this insanity, including Rivers and Wilson, used the Supreme Court demand as their excuse. But it is no excuse and the Legislature SHOULD have told the Court to go pound sand.

The Legislature, who passed these massive tax increases mainly to provide horrific and completely undeserved pay increases to incompetent teachers who never deserved them, jacked our taxes with GOP help because they WANTED to do so, and merely used this fake reasoning as a cover for their betrayal.

Meanwhile, take a quick look at the OSPI report card.

Academic outcomes in this state are abysmal. Too much time is wasted on social programing and doing their best to cut parents completely out of the academic equation at the expense of academics with outcomes which suggest we punch out ignorant and in many cases, illiterate students like tickets at a movie theater.

See for yourself here:

Kids only attend school regularly 69/7% of the time. Yet, 83.6% graduate.

Besides the 16%+ dropout rate, how is graduation even possible for the other 15% who don't even bother to show up?

And even for those who do show up and graduate, less than 51% are at grade level in English, less than 40% in math, and less than 43% in Science.

Here's the union leftists' response to Rivers' betrayal:

I know Paul Harris also got this leftist attaboy! from the democrats who would then turn around and campaign against them in the next election.

So... what happened to the promised "great education" these fringe-left unionists promised us?

I can't find it.

SIX YEARS LATER and it's STILL a nightmare of incompetence and illiteracy.

So tell me.... what good did this additional waste of billions accomplish?

T
he McCleary decision/budgets have made zero improvement in academic outcomes in this state. All it HAS done is to separate/waste more billions from an already horrifically overtaxed and over-inflationed constituency who have received NOTHING in return for the wasted billions Ann Rivers helped them to steal from us.

Our public schools system was a disgrace before the McCleary budget. Extra billions of dollars wasted later, it's no better and in some cases, are actually worse.

Thanks to legislators like Rivers and Wilson.

And how sad is that?

Kenny Vance weighed in at the time, and then responded to Rivers' subsequent sniveling here:

It's bad enough when other legislators lie, but it's tougher when your own allegedly Republican Senator feels compelled to do the same.

The harbinger of the end of electric vehicles? A tough 6 months for EV's.

For years, the warning signs have been on the wall, ignored by the leftists supporting the radical doctrine of leftist control masquerading as "environmentalism."

In so many things, we've been ordered to "believe the science."  And, frequently, the "sciences" has been deliberately manipulated to achieve the desired outcome.

Thus, we have the fringe-leftist's dogged determination to ram electric vehicles down our collective throats for purely "environmental" reasons.

States such as the Washington Soviet contest with unconstitutional edicts concerning, for example, limiting automotive purchases to the sale of only electric vehicles only, on the thoroughly disproven concept that these vehicles are environmentally cleaner since their power source is electricity over gasoline... without discussing the reality that most power is provided by coal-fired power plants as well as using horrifically polluting lithium batteries which cost a fortune to replace ($20,000 is a realistic figure).

Not to mention that pollution resulting from the stunning short life span of the tires on these vehicles.

Costs for the vehicles themselves are astronomical. (Typically, $14,000 more than conventional gasoline-powered vehicles) Keeping them recharged is a nightmare with costs equally stratospheric and climbing, not to mention the overwhelming lack of supportive infrastructure that makes availability of actually functioning chargers (which frequently won't work in cold weather) and, of course, the time wasted to recharge these things and the horrific losses in range and practicality in cold weather.

The costs for home chargers are also a consideration: the charger and installation can run between one to two thousand dollars.

Additionally, some EV companies have been confronted with numerous recalls, allegations of poor quality, and the insanity of limited/controlled repair options. A reputation for going up like match sticks, both in the event of an accident and spontaneously, play a role.

The result? Consumers have been paying attention. And the more attention they pay, the more the obvious shortcomings have come into play

The Wall Street Journal brings it altogether in their article: The Six Months That Short-Circuited the Electric-Vehicle Revolution

The Six Months That Short-Circuited the Electric-Vehicle Revolution

Automakers went all in on battery power, but buyers have proven more hesitant

One example from the story:

Lyndsey Grover, a Dallas-based pediatric anesthesiologist, said her husband was pushing her last year to replace her hybrid Volvo with an all-electric version, for environmental reasons.

She looked at a Tesla Model Y and an electric Mercedes, but ended up with another Volvo—a plug-in hybrid that could travel some distance on battery power before switching to traditional hybrid mode.

Her husband already had a Tesla Model S. She said it often requires a full night of charging at home, and even then, its range on a single charge often fell below estimates displayed by the vehicle. She felt the family needed at least one gas-powered vehicle.

I will likely never own an electric vehicle. And, as reality sets in and the monumentally inane demanded time lines are shown to be anywhere close to possible to meet, the fringe-left demands concerning EV's will fade as well.
