Memo to the local GOP: there's an election coming up. When are those incompetent idiots going to do something?

The primary is right around the corner, and save for wasting money on those moronic, inexplicably stupid signs ("Be Bold?"  What idiot thought that waste of verbiage up?) what has the local GOP actually DONE?

Well, they made next to nothing on a couple of not-great Lincoln Day Dinners.

They've spent a great deal of time marginalizing the conservative base by allowing a burnt out druggie to continue as the Party Chair while he actually SUES a PCO.

They've done a piss-poor job of raising money.

They've tried to get GOP activists and PCO-elects arrested, including a candidate for 17th LD chair.

They've failed to hold any of the tax and spend RINOs accountable for their miserable performances as elected officials.

They failed to provide candidates in the 49th for either House seat and for county treasurer.

But what they HAVEN'T done is provided any reason, whatsoever, to get anyone to vote GOP.

You see, their lack of accountability of RINOs like Wilson and Rivers, who are responsible for raising our taxes by the BILLIONS have completely killed off any way to pitch that "smaller, less expensive. more efficient government" meme that's been the bedrock of GOP politics for generations.

Why vote GOP, for example, when it was the GOP who made our property taxes explode?

For nothing?

SO, the lower taxes meme is DOA... you can't go there.

It was the GOP that allowed in-state tuition and student aid for illegal aliens, not to mention the cheaper drivers licenses for illegals.

Locally, each county council incumbent (Fake Republican Boldt, Olson, Stuart) voted to increase every tax and fee they possibly could.  They put the hated fees back on the parks we've already paid for a dozen times. Why should they be reelected when they voted the same as their democrat opponents would have, had they been elected?  What's the point?

Our property tax statements, which Wilson and Rivers GUARANTEED would be lower, have blown up like confetti; also reflect the efforts of the county council.

So... what is the local GOP actually DOING?

About what you'd expect when those running it are more interested in trashing conservatives than they are defeating democrats.... or protecting incompetent, incapable leadership who has cost the party thousands of dollars and volunteer hours.

"Be Bold" indeed.

Supreme Court selection: democrats are ready with their fake news and false allegations.

Here's the thing: there really isn't any realistic choice for this seat that the leftists would go along with.

But strategically, they've politically killed off Conservative candidates for office with RINO help and they're likely going to try to do it again.

Will it be false allegations of plagiarism?  You know, the kind Joe Biden engaged in that cost him his shot at the presidency back in the day ('87, was it?)

Will it be fake allegations of sexual misconduct like the crap they made up against Roy Moore?

Will it be financial impropriety?  Domestic violence?  Felony parking tickets?

It's been shown already that they'll oppose anyone the President chooses because they hate the man and would gladly see the destruction of this country come to fruition by their opposition to everything he does... or tries to do... as opposed to treating this Supreme Court nominee the way the GOP treated nominees when THEY were in the minority.

What was Bader-Ginsburg's confirmation numbers again?  Oh, yeah.... 96 to 3.  The worst, most biased and incompetent Justice the Court has ever known in modern times.

But there's no chance of the leftists and the RINOs doing that here... nope.

They will cheerfully join together to try and lynch the nominee, whoever they may be (Though it would be a tad bit awkward if it were  Judge Amy Coney Barrett for example.)  because the left and the RINOs hate the president equally.

Who do I think it will be?  I have no more clue than anyone else... and most everyone else is merely engaging in speculation.

As much as the RINOs hate it, however, I hope that the ultimate choice is a conservation and a strict constructionist, who sees the words in the Constitution and applies them as they are written, instead of applying phantom, nonexistent principles and writing about concepts that simply do not legally exist.

Will that happen?  Will the left and the RINOs be successful in thwarting the President's expressed desire while attempting to again engage in the politics of personal destruction with outright fiction?

Would you be surprised if they didn't? After all, they've been successful at it before and in football, you do keep running the same play until the other side figures out a way to stop it.

I expect that this battle will again show the worst that politics has to offer.  The media will pound whoever the nominee is, because, well, hell, they report like the DNC was paying them by the word.

There will be the usual demonstrations, maybe even riots.  The talking heads will be as insane now as they were 2 years ago and they will do all they can to damage both the President AND the nominee.

The left want it this way because they, wrongly I believe, see the Senate as flipping in the general election.

They think they can force Mr. Trump to withdraw this nominee and replace them with another leftist, just to get someone through.

I don't think so.  But even if that were the case, or the leftists refused to confirm ANYONE Mr. Trump nominated, the end result would still be a 5-3 majority.

Don't set your expectations to terribly high.  That way, you won't be all that disappointed.

Who to vote for in the upcoming primary?

Always an interesting question.

Here are my criteria:

Incumbents.

1.  Did they lie to get elected in the past?
2.  Have they lied since they were elected?
3.  Did they vote to jack up our taxes and/or fees?
4.  Do they ignore your emails/letters or other communications?
5.  Do they vote like the special interests own them?
6.  Specifically, did they vote in support of the CRC/Loot Rail resurrection?
7.  Do they support Obamacare and vote against its repeal?
8.  Do they support an income tax?
9.  Do they support gun grabbing?
10.  Do they support open borders, illegal aliens voting, and attack the President for doing the same things Obama did during HIS regime?
11.  Do they use a big-mouthed spouse out there as a surrogate to attack conservatives?
12.  Are they arrogant scum?

Any one of these reasons or combination of reasons?  Then don't vote for them.

Candidates.

1.  Do they support an income tax?
2.  Do they support gun grabbing?
3.  Do they lie?
4.  Do they mouth talking points based on hatred?
5.  Do they sound like they're more suited to be representing the U District in Seattle than any part of Clark County?
6.  Are they endorsed by anyone guilty of any of the reasons listed under "incumbent" above?
7.  Do they support Obamacare?
8.  Do they ignore your emails/letters or other communications?
9.  Do they support open borders, illegal aliens voting, and attack the President for doing the same things Obama did during HIS regime?
10.  Are they arrogant scum?
11.  Are they running because they've retired, they're bored and they don't have anything better to do?  (And at least one candidate for a non-partisan position in Clark County IS  basing their candidacy on that motivation.)

Any one of these reasons or combination of reasons?  Then don't vote for them.

There are many out there who would demand that we turn a blind eye to this sort of thing and vote, if nothing else, based on the party affiliation.

We, they say, should ignore the threats, the lies, the drug use, the sell-outs like we have in the past because THIS time, rewarding these people with your precious vote?

Well, THIS time... it will ALL be different.  Right?

RINOs, for example, demand party loyalty for the candidates THEY support, but being rank hypocrites, they refuse to meet that standard when a conservative is running.

Why might that be?

Well, that's neither here nor there.

Everyone voting should be capable of answering these questions about anyone they're voting for and then explain why that knowledge does... or does not... matter in their decision.

I know I can.

I get that the current local GOP regime knows as much about politics as my spaniel and they're much more concerned about the next party than they are defeating the democrats. 

After all, that's how RINOs roll, right?  When you've got a party-boy running the show, failing to pay attention; failing to do their job; failing to take any public action besides moronic waste-of-money campaign signs that accomplish nothing ("Be Bold"  barf)

But here's a key to victory.  Make the leftists dance.

Well, the leftists.

If the person on the left in the picture above had been named Hillary Clinton, leftists would have been jubilant in their response.  They'd be doing that "see, I told you so" kind of thing... and they'd be doing it rightfully.

But Hillary is a broken down, has-been never-was.  So, in keeping with their policy of, well, if Mr. Trump had cured cancer, they'd complain about the shape of the test tubes he used to make that happen....HERE is the leftist response:

Democrats saw nothing positive in the new June jobs report that highlighted 213,000 new jobs added.

Instead, the Democratic Party issued a statement criticizing President Trump’s jobs agenda as “reckless.”

June jobs numbers show what is at stake from the brewing storm of rising health costs, spiraling trade uncertainty and an economy being hollowed out to enrich big corporations and the wealthiest 1 percent.

“Six months after receiving their windfall from the GOP tax scam for the rich, Corporate America is on track to spend $1 trillion on dividends and stock buybacks, while announcing tens of thousands of layoffs, refusing to give workers a raise and raising costs for families.  Meanwhile, hard-working farmers, factory workers and families across the nation are reeling from retaliatory tariffs and trade uncertainty. America should be taking strong, smart and strategic action against unfair trade policies, not recklessly antagonizing our allies and inviting retaliation against the men and women of American farming and manufacturing.

“The American people deserve so much better than the raw deal they are getting from the cynical Republican special interest agenda.  Democrats know that the American people deserve A Better Deal, with Better Jobs, Better Wages and a Better Future.  Democrats will never stop fighting for the hard-working middle class families who are the backbone of our nation.”

And that was followed by an INSANE DNC screed:

This, of course, is the politics of leftist hatred.

But it's also a great opportunity.

EVERY leftist running needs to be asked a version of this question:

Do you agree with the left's insane take on this country's employment picture?

If, for example, God Help Us, Hillary had won and this had been the result, would you still be joining in on Pelosi's and the DNC's hatred of this outcome?

What would you have us do to increase unemployment if you hate full employment so much?

These are the variety of questions that would serve to point out to anyone watching, hearing or reading the absurdity of most democrats running.

Black and Hispanic unemployment is at record lows.  Manufacturing jobs are up across the board.

And the petulant, childish, thuggish left?

They hate it.  And they hate it because... they put their politics ahead of the welfare of the Nation.

Democrats: snatching defeat from the jaws of victory... unless the GOP helps them.

As the mid terms are coming, mention of the so-called "Blue Wave" has long since disappeared, even in the fringe-left media.

The face of democrats is the face of insanity and hatred.

Maxine Waters?  That little punk Ocasio-Cortez, who has been outed as a pathological liar?  Nancy Pelosi?

Harassment of President Trump's staff and voters who support him?

And now, the growing fringe-left demand to abolish ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), to open our borders to anyone, to give amnesty as a reward to the millions who came here illegally under Obama's despicable and unconstitutional DACA fiasco, (not unlike the moron we have "representing" us in Congress now, come to think of it) attacking the red-hot, full employment economy; shifting from the President causing nuclear war over his handling of North Korea to attacking him for engaging in diplomacy, and whining like cut cats because he gets another Supreme Court appointment.

At the state level, all tax increases, all the time.  (NOTE: The then-GOP-controlled State Senate wasn't any better, to be sure... but the leftists are doubling down with gun-grabber initiative and massive tax increases on fuel) local leftist politicians playing the "Me Too" game by shilling positions at the federal level they have no say over (The "family separation" scam that I indicated the leftists would continue to beat the hell out of the Administration over, even before the President screwed up by signing that executive order)

Look at the democrats running... even here locally.  Look at their positions (Which, to give them credit for, at least they HAVE positions, unlike so many of the RINOs running, like Hoff.) and ask yourself: who in the hell are these people representing?

For many democrats, the GOP incumbents are low-hanging fruit.  But the candidates they run insist on babbling like they're from downtown Seattle instead of from the districts or counties they would govern. They use code words instead of speaking plainly... "Investment" instead of "taxes" and the like.

Most, if not all of these candidates salivate at the idea of a state income tax.  Most of the leftists running against the clueless idiot congresswoman we have now all sound like Bernie Sanders clones.

Most of the leftists want the police to invade our homes and take our guns away from us because, let's face it, all too often they see the Constitution as an impediment to their agenda instead of the framework for government.

Here in Clark County, that should make a huge difference if the GOP Chair would become more interested in campaigning against democrats than he is his next fix... or suing PCO's.  But the local GOP regime spends FAR more time attacking PCO's with political positions to the right of Mao than they do attacking democrat issues and policies.

It's not like I get any of my information from the local GOP; hell, no.  They keep their mouth shut and let the left run roughshod over the few candidates they're running against since most GOP incumbents in office now CLAIM to be GOP as a convenient way to get elected... but vote like they're all named Jimmy Moeller.

No, the local GOP is, essentially, worthless.  An idiotic, non-working sign campaign ("Be Bold?"  Are you fricking kidding me?) is the extent of their public face... a laughable, clueless, directionless, fractured outfit that is only interested in their cocktail party agenda and continuing in office instead of governance and actually making a difference.

So, as out of touch as the leftists are around here, any success they meet will be, in part, because of the RINO elements that keep the base home by voting as if the "R's" after their names were, in fact "D's."

And if any conservative actually wins this November, it will be in spite of the clueless idiots running the local GOP and not because of them.
