As expected, the C3G2 hate site blows it's cork on the SCOTUS decision.

As expected, the fringe left haters are really pissed that their position on prayer has been completely trashed.

They, of course, don't care that each of the federal legislative bodies starts each day with prayer... each of the state legislative bodies starts each day they are in session with prayer... and the county commissioners start their meetings with it.

It take s a genuine hatred and moronic self-absorption to actually believe that with our state and federal legislative bodies engaging in this practice, it was somehow wrong... in any way... that our commissioners doing the same was wrong, illegal, unconstitutional or a practice that should be ended.

What massive egos that requires.

  • Loren Lee and then there is this gloating from 1 certain County Commissioner's FB page today... Supreme Court rules - prayer is part of the nation's fabric, not a violation of the First Amendment.
    We open each Board of Clark County Commissioner meetings with the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer by a local leader. We need God’s help and wisdom and we ought to thank Him for His help, blessings and protection. That right was confirmed this morning by our Supreme Court. That is great news for those that respect our “In God we trust” heritage. Our First Amendment says:
    “Freedom of religion, speech, and the press; rights of assembly and petition Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

  • Loren Lee it remains deeply disappointing how many people have absolutely no clue (whether purposeful ignorance or not) that this is unconstitutional favoritism. why anyone supports this must be grounded in the horribly mistaken belief that leading with prayer automatically makes government officials better people.

How funny of Stephen Johnson to call on the commissioners to follow the teachings of Jesus, apparently unaware of how often Jesus called on followers to P-R-A-Y
