In one of THE most moronic posts I've seen in the Columbian's whack-a-mole game concerning Sen. Don Benton's appointment to the director's job, (and believe me, the fringe-left nutjobs have tried to out-do themselves on this) we see this first-up:
Mike Dalesandro · Top Commenter · Battle Ground, Washington
Arrive at 11am for work, make well over $100K per year double-dipping the tax payers....no wonder he is all smiles!
Because of the left's condemnation of all things "Benton," a few other options are simply unthinkable... such as:
1. Benton was told when to show up. It wasn't his choice. In this position, he answers to the county administrator.
2. Processing elected officials as department heads requires handling that low-level janitor types like Dalesandro are completely unaware of either in length or content.
3. Availability for in-briefings and planning are dependent on the schedules of others.
So, when democrat legislators employed by state and local governments are in the legislature and get paid for both, does Mike find that problematic as well?
Wouldn't know. Up to now, he's been silent on the subject.
At the end of the day, Dalesandro, who hasn't been elected dog-catcher, needs the good will of those elected above him much more then the reverse: burning bridges, even to those elected but hated Republicans he so despises isn't a recipe for electoral success.
I'm reminded of the old saw about people thinking you're stupid, and then opening your mouth to remove all doubt.
Hatred and ignorance. It's what's for dinner if you're a democrat.
