Democratian... and leftists... continue to pee their collective pants over Benton appointment.

Keeping in mind the fact that had the appointment gone to a fringe-left, CRC-Scammer, these guys would be falling all over themselves to pat the conservative commissioners on the back for their prescient vision, one finds all this rank, partisan idiocy actually amusing.

But because it's a conservative, anti-CRC Senator, these scammers have lost their collective minds.

In the irrelevant "he ain't qualified" whine,  the only paragraph that matters is the one they buried:

"However, the county provides a few exceptions to the requirement that job positions be publicly advertised, and says elected officials have the discretion to appoint department heads."

Nothing before that matters.

Nothing after that matters.

In fact, had they been of a mind to do so, the could have appointed a DENSA member.  Someone with the people skills of, say, a political, self-aggrandizing loser like Randy Muller.  (Did you know he was a DENSA member?  Wait 5 seconds, and he'll tell you.  He's his biggest fan.)

Rice knows that, but being a factually challenged lackey of Lou Brancaccio, I suppose this kind of idiocy is to be expected.

Here's the thing:

If Sen. Benton delivers; if he does an outstanding job and the department gets top marks, then none of this will matter except to the scum who are the same CRC Scammers trying to rape this community for the next 40 years.

If he doesn't deliver, then he'll be gone before the middle of next year, and it still won't matter.

Meanwhile those whining the most now about "cronyism" forget all about the peculiar brand of that science they, themselves, have practiced in the past.

But then, since when has the left ever applied the same standard to themselves that they've applied to everyone else?
