Columbian acknowledges they're covering for Sen. Hatfield: "hasn't moved on the wire."

When you have a newspaper run by a fringe-leftist, you can count on their default position being that of covering for democrats.

Lou Brancaccio has a history of that sort of thing.  His most blatant effort was the total cover-up Jim Jack's alcohol fueled indiscretions while a member of the House of Representatives in Olympia.

His second most egregious failure has been his continuing efforts to cover for Tim Leavitt, a legendary liar who used his lies to get elected.

That Leavitt lied... repeatedly... over his position on tolls during his campaign has never concerned Brancaccio: Liars are fine for him as long as they are lying the right way for the right reasons.

But added to that was the story I broke locally concerning Sen. Brian Hatfield's son as a rapist; Hatfield being aware of that, and Hatfield failing to report it.

I've done all I can here to get the word out, knowing that the Columbian had not and likely would not report this story, Hatfield being BOTH a democrat AND a CRC supporter: they'd never do anything to hold him accountable.

Lew Waters decided to ask about this: here's the responses he's received:

Why doesn't the Lazy C find a Dem State Sen. Son arrest for rape newsworthy? http://tinyurl.com/c7owxyj Too busy bashing Benton, Mielke, Madore?

@LewWaters Because that state senator doesn't represent, or reside in Clark County. He represents the 19th Legislative District.

@col_health Pam Roach doesn't represent or reside in Clark County either, she's in the 31st, but she is often news.

@LewWaters Yes, when she's taking action relevant to Clark County -- CRC & petition signatures, for example.

So, let's take a look at a few stroies they printed today that do not involve Clark County, shall we?

Is this where I point out that McMorris "...doesn't represent, or reside in Clark County.  She represents the 5th Congressional District?"

There's a wide variety of news on the Lazy C's webbsite that has nothing to do with this county.  There's also an article concerning Jaime Herrera's keeper who also "...doesn't represent, or reside in Clark County."

So, it's not that they don't KNOW about the story, because they sure do now.

It's not that they haven't done dozens of articles on legislators in the state who do not represent any part of Clark County.

It's not even the lie that it's impossible for these scum to do a story "without a paper trail," which was the dodge they used to cover for Jacks and fail to report on HIS misconduct.

It's the partisanship.  It's the party.  It's  "does he or does he not support the CRC?"

Which, when it comes right down to it, is the basis for the Brancaccio jihad.

And it's also the reason the Columbian is covering for another democrat, knowing full-well all the details they need to report the story.

See, Hatfield doesn't represent any part of a Puget Sound county, either... but that didn't seem to stop KIRO TV, did it?

It didn't stop yahoo news, did it?

Nope, just the Lazy C, who didn't earn that name for nothing.
