The delusion and ignorance of Mike Briggs.

Briggs isn't from here.  And it shows.

If he were, there's a SLIGHT possibility that he'd have a clue about how government in this state is SUPPOSED to work.

Perhaps, if he HAD such a clue, he wouldn't have the attitude like the sheep of the people in Nazi Germany who allowed government to run every aspect of their lives until it was too late.

There are, I believe, elements of the typical and government CRC supporter that are parallel to that of the Nazi's.

But first, here's Brigg's Babble:

Mike Briggs commented on a link.
As a free people why do we have duly elected representatives?
Because we have delegated to them the ability to write and implement laws, subject to our approval.
Why do we, as a free people, give these duly elected representatives the powers that we do?
So that we can have someone besides foxes watching the hen house.... subject to our approval.
If you can get your arms around these two questions and understand why our government operates as it does.... than you will realize why there is no current vote by any body of citizens on Light Rail or on the CRC project at this time.
And this is the biggest lie that Briggs has ever uttered.

We have not been allowed a vote because the scum shilling this garbage know damned well we'd vote against it.  In fact, their policy is to ignore us:
...
The approval of the locally preferred alternative by the PSC would trigger individual agency public hearings. Each elected official body (Board of Directors, Commission, City Council, and so on) would take action, presumably to endorse the locally preferred alternative recommended by the PSC. The PSC members would be entrusted to make the other decisions on behalf of their fellow elected officials with no need for public hearings or individual agency endorsements.
...
TThe decision meetings would be open to the public, but only minimum legal notices would be provided and no display advertising would be placed. We would not encourage public participation. The Task Force chairs would be expected to attend and respond to PSC questions concerning the Task Force recommendations. Task Force members would be made award of the meetings. Meeting notes would be prepared and posted on the website.
...
Project Advisors[sic]
Beyond these formal decisions, the PSC may want to consider interim items---component identification and evaluation, initial alternative descriptions, funding options to be included in the alternatives, and so on. I feel such meetings can be scheduled, but should be kept to a minimum and not scheduled on a regular basis
...
Non-decision meetings should be treated as opportunities for the PSC members to advise the PDT on key issues. No “official” decisions should be made at the meetings. No public notice would be provided and Task Force participation would not be sought. Meeting notes would be prepared but not posted on the website (the same as RPG and working group meeting notes).

THAT is why this hasn't been put to a vote.

Briggs knows that as well.

In response, I ask of Briggs:

Have you ever bothered to read this state's Constitution?

Why does it say this:

Washington State Constitution, Declaration of Rights

"All political power is inherent in the people, and governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, and are established to protect and maintain individual rights." - Article 1, Section 1

"The right of petition and of the people peaceably to assemble for the common good shall never be abridged." - Article 1, Section 4

"The first power reserved by the people is the initiative." - Article 2, Section 1(a)

You see, for Briggs, we've abdicated all of our political power to the scum shilling this manure, and have, as a result, ended our ability to express an opinion at the polls on this, or any other matter.

In his "not-from-here" mind, the government is reflecting a view he supports; therefore, none of the rest of us have any say.

He actually believes that those, once elected, should have unfettered ability to do whatever they want.

You know: just like Nazi Germany.

See, when Adolf built the autobahn, he didn't hold any votes, either.

We not only have the RIGHT to demand a vote if we as a people are so inclined, we have a DUTY to do so.

And this bizarre, arrogant, screw what the people want, stupid moronic question idiocy from Briggs serves to re-enforce the idea that he is unfit for any elective office, because in HIS mind, whatever HE would want if we were unfortunate enough to see him elected to anything, would be IT; and what we as constituents would want would be as meaningless to him as it is to the other CRC Nazis infesting us.

The parallels between CRC supporters and Nazis are obvious.  As this thing circles the drain, however, those parallels are anything but frightening.

First, to get this CRC Scam thing passed, they lie.

Second, they ignore the facts, and make up lies in an attempt to overcome the facts.

Third, precisely like the Nazis, their belief in government and their vision is absolute and not subject to the whim of the will of those they would govern.

And that, of course, sums up Briggs, Moeller, Cleveland, Leave-it, Stuart and the whole gang.

It's troubling that this project has brought out the closest thing to a pure, Nazi mentality I've ever seen in government.

The idea that because a few have bought into a fraud that's obvious, we should all follow along like Briggsian sheep and not question der Fuhrer's and Fuhrerettes who want this scam is insane... that we, as a people, have lost our ability to question, to demand, to disapprove?  The very definition of totalitatrian government.

Here's a memo, Mike: this ain't Venezuela.  That you support this crap, besides being another reason, in and of itself, to oppose it, is meaningless.

As Briggs attempts to position himself for some sort of run for office, you'll be reading more here on this clown.

Stay tuned.

Hilarity ensues. But I'm hearing that he's making the contacts one would make, pre-run, to do that very thing.

Self-delusional arrogance frequently results in painful lessons.

I look forward in helping to teach him his.
