Ballot returns spell trouble for dems in Clark County

So far this year, 56,924 ballots have been returned, an increase of around 12,000 or so the same time period in 2008.

Given the well known enthusiasm gap of democrats to Republicans, why do you think that might be?

These numbers compare with 2008, the so-called Obama Wave:

Oct 24                                                       9,241

With roughly 25,000 additional ballots going out, some increase in ballot returns was inevitable.

But the difference between 2008 and today isn't explained by a higher number of ballots mailed out.

So... what does this likely mean?

It likely means bad news for the democrats.

When combined with polling that documents a right shift by even the electorate of this state....
