When Republicans in the Legislaure get stupid, Chapter 93: So.... where's the state Republican House or Senate budget plan?

Right now, the legislature is suffering from the usual leftist ineptitude and cat fights.

Nothing that needs to get done, IS getting done; sort of a somewhat smaller mirror image of Congress.

Leftist backbone is, typically, missing.  But so is that of the Right.

Where... Is... The... Republican... Budget?

Right now, the GOP has absolutely nothing to leverage democrat stupidity.  EVERY Republican should CONSTANTLY be reminding EVERYONE of two things:

Number One:

We have a plan.

Number Two:

The democrats are in charge of everything.

The problem with that, of course, is that it doesn't really do any good to remind everyone of the secret the media is doing its best to keep (Number 2) without first developing and pushing the Plan (Number 1).

Right now, the people of this state see a monolithic Legislature.  They, rightfully at this point, have no ability to differentiate between the party that is in complete control and the party that is completely OUT of control.

This is a result of a lack of political leadership and will.  Obviously, those running the Caucuses in both the House and the Senate have no clue concerning the debacle that is democrat control of government.  They are missing a genuinely golden opportunity to change the direction of the discussion as we head into another election year.

And because they are either too lazy or too short sighted, they have accomplished nothing except to lump themselves in with the democrat "do-nothings."

How moronic is that?

The people likely believe, as I believe, that everyone up there is at fault for this farce.  And that impression is going to be cemented into place for weeks if we end this farce without telling the world that we have a viable alternative that will achieve the goal more efficiently and expeditiously then do the dems.

And, of course, we should provide the plan in question.

Otherwise, why do we even bother to show up?

It's probably a matter of perspective. From where I sit, Rs doing and saying nothing is working to their benefit. Conservatives want cuts not taxes. If they do nothing, but scream like stuck cats every time the tax issue comes up - it loses and they win. However, if they SAY ANYTHING, then the focus will shift to them - and frankly, there is NO SOLUTION.

From where I sit, the R's failure to differentiate themselves from the democrats just makes that obne of "them."

Further, it gives them nothing positive to run on as a group, because all they can claim is that the d's couldn't get it done, an empty observation unless you have viable alternatives ready to go.

Kelly, dontcha know the state republicans are nothing but proficient at being inept? I have know some really good ones from our state.

But when was the LAST time you remember the one of the state houses being controlled by a republican majority? 10? 20? 30 year go?

Maybe that is some thing you should fixate and put on your radar screen with big BULLS eye!
