In electoral politics, there are roughly 2 criteria that will get you the democratian endorsement:
Support the massive and unconscionable waste of billions for the bridge and be a democrat.
If you do these same things, and if you're running against a Republican or someone who OPPOSES this criminal waste... well, you ain't gonna get a second look.
Unfortunately, for the side that would stand for the people, Cory Barnes is an idiot. Records indicate that as recently as the second of THIS month, he had two tickets...and was cited a total of ELEVEN times, THIS year...

Close examination shows that he received 3 tickets in 6 days, and 2 tickets on ONE day... and he was driving while suspended.
Some want him elected anyway.
But not me.
I will not trade integrity for political positions.
And that's a shame, because in all of this, Barnes' POLITICAL decisions are the right ones.... as are Bill Turlay's and Josephine Wentzel's. And that, of course, is why the rag endorsed those who would extort $100,000,000 per year out of the local economy for a project that would result in permanent tolls of $1300 or more per year for each commuter.... forever... the small businesses depending on this disposable income (who the rag never seem to find time to talk about) be damned.
And Lou, in case you're STILL wondering why most sentient beings with an opinion view you as a fringe-left whack job, these endorsements provide yet another in the miles long series of clues.
