With the shoe on the other foot, democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is embarrassed that 4 years ago, he lied about raising the debt ceiling.

.
Like the Empty Suit's execution-eve fiscally religious conversion, Harry Reid suddenly sees the light and admits that all of his blather when the GOP controlled the Senate was a pack of lies.

The scum sloughs off them in droves.

We should not raise the debt limit.

We have to do SOMETHING, even if it might be wrong, because doing nothing is a disaster that is going to happen... soon.

Harry Reid ‘Embarrassed’ by His Stance on Debt

Harry Reid is ashamed of himself. Why? For helping usher through record deficits? No, for ever arguing against them:
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid today told ABC News that he feels “embarrassed” that four years ago he argued against raising the country’s debt limit.
“Why is it right to increase our nation’s dependence on foreign creditors?” Reid said on March 16, 2006. “Democrats won’t be making an argument to support this legalization, which will weaken our country.”
In an interview today on ABC’s “Top Line” with Jonathan Karl and Amy Walter, Reid said those comments were a mistake.
Of course Reid is ashamed of himself for what he did in 2006. Knowing that he shirked maximizing his constitutional duty, not to mention possibly shorting untold numbers of cowboy poets some funding, must have been keeping him awake at night.
