Commuter train fans: food for thought

The Shark over on Sound Politics busses in some truth talk:

Update on: Because Trains are more dependable than cars

[un]Sound Transit News

The [un]Sounder commuter train between Seattle and Everett hasn't been working all week because of mudslides, but fortunately it will (hopefully) resume service on Friday morning (at least until the next time it rains).

Even more fortunate is that [un]Sound Transit is running extra buses to substitue for the train.

Who knew that buses could be used to transport commuters? If only they had thought of using buses instead of the extravagant train in the first place they could have saved the taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars.

Then again the cost is the benefit.
