"Will of the people?" Democratian tells us "We don't need no stinking will of the people!"

.
The arrogance of the slimeball who ran today's snivel (editorial) really can't be overstated. The hypocrisy of the stands taken in that steaming pile are reeking across the county this morning because, once again, it's ripe with the typical double-standards and situational ethics the rag is known for.

Take this crap, for example:

Again, Clark County residents witness a group of unspecified size — but obviously small — trying to fix a system of government that is not broken. And because county commissioners apparently haven’t heard the three “No” messages from voters over the past 20 years, another election of freeholders is set for Nov. 8.

Utter nonsense.

The most troubling aspect of this paragraph is that when the rag SUPPORTS an issue, the spew they put out above has no place in their consideration.

Here's an example taking this same tripe and modifying it to fit another situation:

Again, Clark County residents witness a group of unspecified size — but obviously small — trying to fix a system of transportation that is not broken. And because the bridgers/loot railers apparently haven’t heard the multiple “No” messages from voters over the past 20 years, they're trying to jam a multi-billion dollar waste of tax dollars down our throats.

The rag is Rule 5'ing us because when the will of the people doesn't reflect the rag's will, they don't want to hear it.

The people of Clark County do not want the already paid for, perfectly functional I-5 Bridge replaced. We do not want loot rail.

The rag knows this. The downtown Mafia knows this. The government leaders shilling to stab the commuting public in the back with a $1300 yearly fee to go to work know this: that's why we've had no vote on this crap pile and yet $100,000,000 has vaporized with nothing but a stack of paper and a building full of rich consultants to show for it.

Unbelievably, the rag expresses dismay over an exercise in democracy; an exercise that will cost us $100,000. But they remain silent in the face of a waste of 10's of millions of dollars... a waste that may ultimately lead to billions of dollars... because THAT waste is for a project THEY WANT.

The hypocrisy of it... this effort to squelch the will of the people in the face of the rag's cheerleading for the downtown mafia and their efforts to keep us silent in the face of the tyranny of forcing Clark County commuters, their families and the businesses that depend on the disposable income of 65,000 commuters to pay for a bridge we don't want and don't need and cannot afford.

"Cancer on the community" doesn't begin to cover the damage this despicable waste of wood pulp causes. "Stain on journalism" doesn't even come close.

The Nazi party newspaper could take lessons from these low lifes.

The rest of the crap in their editorial is the same; they offer up no reason to abort this effort that shouldn't also be applied to their pet project... they just refuse to apply the same standards to a project they WANT then they obviously will to one they DON'T want.

Yes... this represents the true colors of the rag's disdain for the will of the people of this community.

They can't shut down fast enough.

Why do I see the political critics being slowly silenced or some how kicked out of office so this can finally go through?

Just a note, Robert Liberty recently within the past week resigned.
