No state or government agency should have anyone hired to play the role of lobbyist.
Yet, state agencies waste $6 million on begging for money and increasing vigilance against efforts to rein in their power, size or authority.
Those hired to run these agencies should be the ones in legislative hearings justifying their budget requests. They should not be allowed to hire professional mouthpieces to make the excuses for continually increasing budget requests.
Here locally, Clark County violates their trust to the people this way; so does the City of Vancouver, among, perhaps, others.
You'd think that with the election of casket salesmen like Tim "The Liar" Leavitt, these lying, silver tongued devils could speak for themselves.
And they should, instead of paying others tens of thousands of our increasingly scarce tax dollars to do it for them.
