Memo to David Madore: next time, get people who know what they are doing.

.
Both the local GOP and David Madore share the blame for Steve "Easy Money" Stuart's continued ability to damage our local community.

The failure of the local GOP... and it was a failure... was an inability to find a viable candidate in a timely manner... as in late last year, who could have easily taken out the corrupt, self-centered, people-ignoring Stuart.

The failure of Madore's group was a failure to focus on ONE candidate... and remove him from the equation.

Clearly, whoever was running the notolls program had absolutely no clue... no idea what they were doing.

Because if they did, even after running what amounted to a "non-campaign," Alan Svehaug would have been our next County Commissioner.

Stuart's positions were so unpopular, so unresponsive, so absolutely dictated by the downtown Vancouver Mafia and the Democratian that focusing on him; spending that $100,000 just on him; educating people as to what a slimeball Easy Money actually is... that we'd see Svehaug at 55% as the voters would have abandoned Stuart in droves.

Putting up a bunch of signs with a web site on it was such a colossal waste of time, money and energy. Had all of that been directed at Stuart, he'd be putting all of his stuff in a box about now and signing up for unemployment.

As it is now, $180,000 or so has been blown, you, Mr. Madore, personally, have been beaten like a pinata, and you have absolutely nothing to show for it.

I appreciate loyalty as much as the next guy: but loyalty cannot trump competence. Who was running your show should voluntarily resign. And if they don't, you need to fire them and get someone else who knows what the hell they're doing.

You also need to understand that this isn't a polite, genteel business. You're gonna have to skin your knuckles and you're gonna have to get dirty.

Pick your target for 2012. Right now, I suggest my brother-in-law, alleged Republican Commissioner Marc Boldt, who shares Easy Money's positions on the bridge project; who personally lied to me about holding an advisory vote on the project for this just past election, who has done absolutely nothing to stop this horrific project and who actually endorsed democrat Steve "Easy Money" Stuart as part of his campaign.

Start focusing on Boldt and Boldt alone. Take him out in the primary, support the Republican running against him who will be opposed to the bridge/loot rail project, and then your goals will be achieved, because the downtown mafia will fear you.

Hopefully, this time you learned that a shot-gunned, scatter-brained approach will not work. And now that you've learned that, you must adjust accordingly.

Otherwise, you're really in the wrong business and you really should stop.

Makes sense...I just hope he's listening & reading!

Now, I'd like to know why the Tea Party/We The People had such a poor showing in this state. We need some answers there.

After seeing the things I did after Baird announced retirement coming out of the Clark County LGOP, I believe they got so heavily invested and focused on one race and one race only and poured their main efforts and resources into her, instead of local candidates that would be of more direct help to us.

Had their support been more even handed we might have picked up a couple more seats in local elections.

Then again, maybe the 3rd CD candidate would have been someone with the needed experience and qualities needed there, too.
