.
Koenninger has but one filter he runs legislative service thru to judge it's effectiveness or "correctness:" How closely did the legislator in question toe the Columbian (That is, HIS) line?
No one has ever done it like Wallace.
Wallace is shown as (D-Vancouver) when she should be known as (D-Columbian). There is nothing the Columbian has ever wanted that Wallace hasn't done everything possible to produce. The result?
Slavish endorsements, political eulogies like this Koenninger pap, and the requisite anointment as some sort of local political icon.
Deb Wallace bears direct responsibility for ripping off the taxpayers to the tune of $100 million plus for the pre-ordained outcomes of the CRC. She's been a huge fan of loot rail.
Contrary to what Koenninger spewed, her actions in that regard do not reflect anything this community wants. Printing her lies in that area are just par for the leftist course.
The crock about Wallace's inept fund-raising as an excuse for her to bail on her congressional run is just that, a crock. It's not a viable excuse for EITHER Pridemore or Wallace. What she was "advised she needed" is completely irrelevant.
WHATEVER she needed, she could not raise.
What Koenninger fails to mention is that if the "long hours" of being an "active legislator" got in the way, she could have resigned to campaign full time, like Jaime Herrera did (She kept the job, I know... but she resigned on us, those of us she is alleged to represent.) to raise money.
In fact, we just had a special election in Hawaii because a democrat congressman resigned his seat to run for governor full time, didn't we?
It's a pity that other elected officials don't share his sense of responsibility.
Wallace couldn't raise the money for the same reason Pridemore couldn't raise money: They're democrats in a Republican year and their message sucked.
All the rest of this is smoke and eyewash.
Other local legislators have served 8 years and left without so much as a peep out of Koenninger. But they weren't democrats and they didn't run the Columbian's legislative agenda like it was their own.
So what else should we have expected?
