A possible sign of things to come: Mohegans ignore Connecticutt smoking law; Cowlitz megacasino will do the same.

.
So far, it's been a given that breaking our laws is precisely what the Cowlitz Tribe will do, and have done, in pursuit of their massive, unwanted and damaging megacasino.

As a precurser to the Megacasino ignoring the laws of this state, we need go no farther then the actions of the Cowlitz Tribal Mafia's mentors, the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut.

The story is here... and it's not pretty. It IS, however, what we can expect... and what we have already received, from the Barnett Mafia in their efforts to ram this project down our throats in our own community.

Odd that the Pravda Columbian hasn't covered this.... but when it matters to Clark Countians, they'll read about it here.

Hartford - Both the Mohegan and Mashantucket Pequot tribes were predictably cold Monday to Attorney General Richard Blumenthal's call for a phased-in smoking ban that would culminate in smoke-free conditions at Mohegan Sun, Foxwoods Resort Casino and MGM Grand at Foxwoods by October 2011.

Gov. M. Jodi Rell's office, which has been discussing smoking at the casinos with tribal officials, wasn't thrilled either.

While unionized table-games dealers from Foxwoods and other anti-smoking advocates who lined up behind Blumenthal at a press conference focused on the effects of secondhand smoke, tribal officials later served notice that the overriding issue is one of tribal sovereignty.

That sovereignty “is a rule of law that supersedes the wishes of even Attorney General Blumenthal, and is guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution,” Bruce “Two Dogs” Bozsum, chairman of the Mohegan Tribal Council, said in a statement.

Folks, this is the kind of attitude and response to OUR laws that will be the norm between this community and the tribal interlopers from Puget Sound that want to destroy our community for their "filthy lucre."

Enjoy.
