RE: Washington gov election and felons
To the KATU News Director:
Your reporting on this issue is very one-sided in favor of Republicans. The story that aired at about 5:40 pm tonight contained no balancing comments from Democratic officials, no mention of the role that the Building Industry Association of Washington has played and no mention that there may be errors in the list the GOP has compiled.
More to the point, doing ambush interviews with two felons who say they voted for Christine Gregoire is completely unfair. This issue has kicked around the Washington media quite a bit over the last few months, and any number of supposed Rossi voters have also reportedly been felons.
This issue is in the courts, where it belongs, and unless someone can demonstrate an actual attempt to get felons to vote for one side or the other, charges about the felon vote are simply an effort to inflame public opinion.
I e-mailed the a link to a Seattle P-I story to your desk on Sunday morning and received no reply. Perhaps it was not reviewed on a weekend.
I fail to understand how you can do a story on this subject and fail to speak to any representative of the Democratic Party. I am coming to the unfortunate conclusion that KATU is not interested in presenting both sides of the issue.
I am going to post this letter and any response from KATU on my blog, Columbian Watch, at http://www.columbianwatch.blogspot.com/
Sincerely,stilwell
Man.... I bet those people... in fact, the entirety of Fisher Broadcasting is TREMBLING at the mere THOUGHT that ol' stillwell is upset at them.
What a self-important moron. Here's a clue, stillwell... Christine nailed the felon vote. Pity for you they were all illegal.
