"You will never be the best version of yourself if you allow other people to convince you, that you can't be better because of your skin color, because of your sexual identity, because of the community you came from... you must resist those narratives at all costs if you truly want to be successful in America." - Charley Kirk

Cowardman chickens out: Baird won't run for re-election
Seeing the clearly printed writing on the wall, our local Cowardman Brian Baird announced he's not running for re-election.
To the leftists out there mistakenly believing that this district was safe for the left, this announcement makes it so obvious that even they now recognize what anyone with any political sense (which, by definition, excludes leftists) already knew: that the Cowardman was toast.
So, what does that mean for leftists? Not much. They have little to zero chance in the 3 no matter who they run
it's unlikely that Baird did this out of a clear blue sky. The question becomes, however, who is the leftist heir-apparent to the Cowardman?
I hope Steve "Cold Hard Cash" Stuart runs, myself. I'm gonna pound him like a drum whether he runs for Congress or the county anyway, but I do like the idea of spreading my wings and beating on this clown like a rented mule.
Rumor has it that the most arrogant, self-centered and self-impressed politician that ever lived, one Jim Moeller, was looking into it. In many respects, this will be much like bees to honey.
Suddenly, the 2010, which is shaping up to be horrific for anything democrat, just got worse.
And, BTW, Brian?
Good riddance. Except for carrying our despicable rag's water, you were, on the whole, worthless anyway.

Forget the NFL. You want an exciting football play? Check THIS out.
Most readers are aware that I've stopped watching the NFL. Until they change their bigoted ways, they can kiss me and my money good bye.
So, I'm focusing on college ball. That said, here's a play from last year from a different angle.
These guys are Division 3, (Millsaps College on the defense, and the Trinity Tigers on offense... Both the college football equivalents of middle schools.) They play the game because they love the game. They know they're not going to get the big contracts, or see themselves on network TV. For them, it's the game, perhaps in its purest form.
And here is a play from one of those games. So, take 2 minutes out and revel in football and freaking out announcers. It'll do you good.
Another example of where Tim "The Liar" Leavitt is like his hero, BHo.
For all the morons in our local GOP who worked for or supported The Liar's election effort... perhaps they didn't know that he was an early endorser and supporter of the worst President since Jimmy Carter, a mantle he is striving mightily to change to "The Worst President EVAH!" (Copyright 2009) or is it that they just didn't care?
Ahhhhh, no matter. In another in the series of the "Similarities between The Liar and the Empty Suit, I bring your attention to yet another fine article detailing where, like our own Tim "The Liar" Leavitt, that empty suited, Anti-American racist bigot lies through his teeth on almost any occasion concerning any policy.
His most recent fantasy babble being no exception.
MICHAEL GOODWIN: Obama's WhoppersThere is much more here, which is truly unfortunate.By Michael Goodwin
- FOXNews.com
The president's still whining about the problems he inherited when he took office and he's still blaming Republicans. And the American people are tuning him out at a stunning pace.
The other day, I wrote that President Obama has "run out of both charm and ideas." I was too kind.
To judge from the string of whoppers in his dreary jobs speech yesterday, he's also run out of facts. And he's still whining about the problems he inherited and blaming Republicans.
He might as well be barking at the moon. That's sort of what he is doing, because the American people are tuning him out at a stunning pace.
The latest Gallup Poll gives him a record low 47 percent approval. Only 26 percent in another poll say he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. Naturally, his press secretary attacks the pollsters, likening them to children with crayons.
And Obama plunges on with his blame-game act. It's tired, unpresidential and ineffective, all the more so because he's banking on a bill of goods to prop himself up.
The most egregious example came when Obama said yesterday the $700 billion bank-bailout fund, or TARP, was "launched hastily under the last administration" and was "flawed."
Here are the facts. George Bush was in the White House, but Democrats controlled both houses of Congress. Obama himself, as a senator, voted for the bailout in October 2008.
No one claims the bill was perfect, but there is no record --zero -- of Obama trying to fix it. Remember, it was John McCain who rushed back to Washington after the first version failed and tried to get involved to reshape it.
McCain flubbed the effort, but Obama made none. He only reluctantly joined a White House conference with McCain and Bush on the bailout after urging Congress "to step up to the plate and get this done."
He went on the Senate floor and said there wasn't time to fiddle with the bill before leaving the details to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who said at the time, "No one knows what to do."
Fortunately, there were people who knew what to do. Timothy Geithner, then chairman of the New York Federal Reserve and now Obama's treasury secretary, was deeply involved with Bush's treasury secretary, Henry Paulson, in shaping the legislation that helped to avert a financial crash.
That 2008 vote released half the TARP money, with a second vote coming in January 2009, a week before Obama was inaugurated. He wanted the second installment of $350 billion, and most Democrats, along with a handful of Republicans, voted to give it to him.
The record is clear: The $700 billion bailout was crafted on a bipartisan basis, with Obama's support and encouragement, and he has controlled most of the money. For him to now claim otherwise is disgraceful.
It's unfortunate because this country SHOULD have, as its president (Like Vancouver SHOULD have as its mayor), a man (or woman) of honor and integrity; a man whose words do not requiring parsing; a man who's words are already fact checked before he utters them.
Instead, we have Obama. And here locally, we have Tim "The Liar" Leavitt... two cancers on our society cut from the same cloth. And neither are any of those things.
And we will suffer for it.
.
Once again, I have to disagree with Don Brunell, President of AWB.
Brunell is an interesting guy.
Most recently, he parachuted in to tell US that WE need to get screwed for billions on a project we DON'T need, and DON'T want.
He does represent the Association of Washington Business. But his lies about the bridge project make anything he writes automatically suspect. Reading Brunell talk about government is like reading Goebbels talking about the Greater Reich.
He told us here:
Washington View: There are no easy budget choices for Gregoire, Legislature.
Of course he's wrong. Dead wrong.
Once government recalls who they work FOR, the rest is easy.
Here's the list of cuts:
Eliminate pay raises.
Eliminate step increases.
Reduce budgets and staffing levels back to 2004 levels.
Those who remain after the cuts can always quit, right? I mean, where do they have to go?
And, of course, we can start at the very top. In ONE YEAR (2005), both the governor and lieutenant governor's offices increased THEIR budgets on the order of 37%.
There's nothing "daunting" about it.
Close up The Mansion. Get rid of the vehicles and staff. Move into a 2 bedroom apartment. After all, isn't that what Governor Moonbeam did when he ran that tiny state of California?
Unlike the empty-suited, Anti-American racist bigot in the White House who throws these massive parties EVERY WEEK, put the entirety of government on an austerity budget.
The moron running our government has screwed us for a minimum of $30 billion on the Chrysler/GM bail out... a bail out that shouldn't EVER have happened, but a bail out necessary to pay off his union masters.
So, unlike Mr. Brunell, I say the budget choices really ARE easy:
Remember WHO YOU WORK FOR. And then, reduce pay, benefits and workers enough to fill the gap, while cutting your own budgets at least the 37 percent figure to set the example and lead the way.
Unlike Emperor Empty Suit, who parties and golfs while the rest of us suffer, our government can act. It can stop being about pay offs, and it can START being about fair governance.
And what's so hard about that?
.
Global warming? I got your "global warming" hanging.
I just want to duct tap the mouth of that proud American who emits 20 times or more the average in pollution with HIS "carbon foot print" that you or I emit, because, after all, when you're a lying leftist scumbag making tens of millions off your lies... well, that's just fricking different.
It was ate degrees out here this morning. Or is that plate?
Nah, it's really EIGHT fricking degrees out as I write this.
It was so cold yesterday that we had a HOT water line freeze.
Does anyone here believe the organized crime, sucking tens of billions of dollars out of our wallets to further their lies and line their pockets?
The Email scam killed the deal for me. And soon, "global warming" and it's practitioners will be relegated to the junk heap of history, just like their "an ice age is coming!" forerunners.
Billions and billions wasted on an unsupportable political scam... a scam that gullible leftists STILL hitch their wagons to.
