SOME democrats get it... the "woke" words they need to cut from their speech.

SOME democrats are starting to get it. 

Establishment democrat think-tank, Third Way (and no, I've never heard of it, either, but they're apparently major establishment players for the left) has come up with a set of blacklisted terms the left should STOP using. 

As for me, I believe it's far too little... and far too late:

“We are doing our best to get Democrats to talk like normal people and stop talking like they’re leading a seminar at Antioch,” says Matt Bennett, Third Way’s executive vice president of public affairs. 

Far, far too late and far too much ingrained into the leftist psyche. Getting leftists to speak and write like non-leftist political hacks has as much chance of success as getting them to stop hoping the president is assassinated. In short, none at all.

“We think language is one of the central problems we face with normie voters, signaling that we are out of touch with how they live, think and talk." 

Perhaps he should add "normie voters" to the list?

"To please the few, we've alienated the many."

No kidding?

“The intent of this language is to include, broaden, empathize, accept, and embrace,” the memo states. “The effect of this language is to sound like the extreme, divisive, elitist, and obfuscatory, enforcers of wokeness. To please the few, we have alienated the many − especially on culture issues, where our language sounds superior, haughty and arrogant.” 

Duh. Seriously? Leftist arrogance and attempted moral superiority REEKS. Demands, for example, that we play along with the trans mental illness comes to mind. (yes, I refuse) 

ANYhoo, here's PART of the list. I'm trying to get all of it, but this is a start. 

Among the blacklisted terms: privilege … violence (as in “environmental violence”) … dialoguing … triggering … othering … microaggression … holding space … body shaming … subverting norms … systems of oppression … cultural appropriation … Overton window … existential threat to [the climate, democracy, economy] … radical transparency … stakeholders … the unhoused … food insecurity … housing insecurity … person who immigrated … birthing person … cisgender … deadnaming … heteronormative … patriarchy … LGBTQIA+ … BIPOC … allyship … incarcerated people … involuntary confinement.

Yes, it's a beginning. Their problem? 

They waited far too long and now the neocommunist wing of the fringe-left has much more sway and influence to actually get them to listen. 

Many industrialists in Germany supported Hitler's rise to power, convinced he was a hick they could control. By the time they figured out they'd been delusional, it was far too late for them to do anything about it. 

This is something of a replay of that scenario. 

Getting the progressives now mostly running the party to appeal to "normie voters" at this point has as much chance as forcing MLB to change the term "foul ball" into something like "miss-hit ball".

Good luck with that. 

Meanwhile, I look forward to their efforts to try and change course on the moronic policies these same people support. 

But I'm not holding my breath.

In the 30 states that keep track of party registration... Republicans are gaining voter registration and democrats are losing.

“Democrats lost ground to Republicans in every single one between the 2020 and 2024 elections — and often by a lot.”

So says the New York Times, hardly a bastion of conservative thought.

Most of us remember Obama's inane observations concerning the right "clinging to guns or religion."

The loss, to hear the left tell us, wasn't because of anything Kamala DID. How many have told us that she led a "flawless campaign?"

Introspection to avoid the same mistakes we all make in the future can, and frequently is, tortuously painful.

Harris's mistakes were obvious. 

But the left's excuses for her bludgeoning at the polls completely defy reality and continue to prove they learned nothing from their crushing presidential election defeat.

The left focuses on the low-hanging fruit of her gender, her race, media portrayals and so on.

They NEVER talked about policies (such as they were), her failure to reach out/connect with the middle/working class, the moronic insanity of her towing the Biden line ("can't think of a thing" she'd change) her responsibility for keeping the lie that Biden was perfectly OK mentally as president when it was clear to every sentient being on the planet that #DementiaJoe could no longer run an elevator. 

They never explained her abysmal failure as "Border Tsar," instead blaming the massive influx of millions of unvetted, unvaccinated illegals that has literally cost us hundreds of billions of dollars on the allegedly Trump-directed defeat of the so-called "bipartisan" border bill that would have cheerfully, and legally, allowed 1.8 million illegals in per year.

(As aside, one wonders: the Biden factory insisted the defeat of that bill made it impossible to do what Trump has done WITHOUT that bill; mainly, close down the border to almost all illegal crossings. Weird that Trump could do it without the bill after Biden, et al, claimed it couldn't be done.)

Instead, they choose to continually die on hills that actually took away even a remote chance of winning. Spending on and defending illegals as if they were much more important than citizens, insanity like the White House Trans Day that just happened to fall on Easter a while back, continued to claim the southern border crisis was made up, continuing to vociferously protect illegal alien criminals. 

Continuing to make outrageous claims that put most of their positions are on the wrong end of almost every 80/20 political equation, such as allowing fake females to compete against and use the locker rooms of real females in our public schools and colleges, such as horrific tax increases the left loves, such as having a hissy-fit over DOGE's efforts to cut government waste and spending; something they frequently talked about while simultaneously doing nothing about, etc.

Even now, they defy the reality of many fringe-left controlled cities (not least of which includes Washington, DC) as cesspools of crime. They freak out over the use of federal and National Guard troops to restore something approaching order, instead whining about such actions being "unconstitutional" and Trump taking over America and so forth.

Even the people of D.C. know better.

Months later, the democrats refuse to look in the mirror at the REAL reason they got their asses kicked in November and the real reasons they're hemorrhaging support and money now.

They are so programed that they are INCAPABLE of admitting they are wrong. On ANYTHING.

And until such time as the people who brought them to this level of insanity are gone... until the delusionals running the show are no longer in charge? They'll become increasingly irrelevant as common sense rears its frequently ugly head even though they know, deep down, that if this is the hill they choose to die on?

That's where they'll be buried.

Trump on US Flag burning: 1 year in jail. Alleged Conservatives whine?

Of course some "conservatives" (including some I've never heard of... and those I have are avowed Never Trumper RINOs) are against this policy.

But what I'm against is legal hypocrisy. If, on one hand, you can burn the American flag without penalty, then it's just as much "freedom of speech" to burn ANY flag, including those commemorating gender butchery and gay rights generally, among others. We cannot, as a society, make the burning of the American flag sacrosanct, while the burning other symbols somehow becomes a criminal act. That someone might be "offended" or some such insanity by the burning of, for example, a palestinian flag or LGBTQXYZ flag or what have you CANNOT be more offensive than burning the flag I served under and bled under and as such, there's no excuse for the double standard. That math ain't mathing.

And you can't have it both ways.

I would remind everyone that abortion was also an allegedly "constitutionally protected" act... until it wasn't.

Free speech has one standard. And if you can go to jail for burning a gay rights flag, than stop whining about freedom of speech when it does not apply equally to ALL flags... including the American flag.

Both Seattle and King County struggle to top each other in the gross incompetence category: contaminate hotel with fentanyl and then abandon the owners.

The last time I live in Seattle was as I was finishing up ROTC at the UW.

Every element of the city and county of my birth... not to mention the pro-terrorist actions of the UW administration make me ashamed I ever lived there or attended school there.

This doesn't just happen there. It also happened in Everett, where I hotel used for the homeless became so badly infested with fentanyl that it was shut down.

It is likely a tale repeated around each leftist enclave feeding the ever growing homeless industry, even more voracious and worthless a bureaucracy as the TVA.

Those running the governments of both the county and the city are provably incompetent and uncaring about their constituencies. And the crowded morgue, overloaded for years, proves it as hundreds of millions are wasted every year and the problem keeps getting worse with no end in sight.

Sorry, but I can't see where Zelensky's clothing makes any difference. During WW2, for example, Stalin didn't wear a suit. Did he get beat up for it?

Don't confuse your hatred of Zelensky who is fighting for the survival of his county with the trappings of office as you perceive them.

Selling Ukraine out.... again.... will not work now any more than it worked when Chamberlain sold out Czechoslovakia to Germany with Hitler.

We signed an agreement guaranteeing Ukraine's sovereignty, as did Russia, back in '94 in return for Ukraine getting rid of its 700 or so nukes... which, had they ignored us and kept them, would have stopped any invasion to begin with.

Russia has repeatedly ignored that agreement as they will repeatedly ignore any agreement Trump gets now. After all, what would Trump do about it? Increase sanctions Putin never cared about in the first place?

Any ceasefire now will allow Putin to rearm, retrain and reorganize. He will then attack at his leisure.

Trump is getting played like a fiddle. Appeasing dictators such as Putin only emboldens them and reinforces the historical fact that militarily and economically, whenever the US gets involved, at some point we'll walk away. Vietnam, Afghanistan and in other places, to name a couple.

The world is watching and shaking their head at our continued ignorance.

And most here don't care what happens as long as we're not involved... a copy of the pre-World War Two stance of many. And how'd that work out for us?

But we'll care when Russia engages in Putin's avowed aim to restore the Warsaw Pact countries under his control, including current NATO countries, triggering World War 3.

Much of the blood you'll see on the ground then will be American.

And, like in WW2, we'll start playing the "if only we had" game.

At Nuremberg, we hung Nazi leaders for most of the same things Putin has done with this invasion. At least 100,000 war crimes. Billions in damages.

And he won't be held accountable for any of it. Who'll pay for it? It should be Putin. But you already know we'll be on the hook for rebuilding something Putin will then destroy again when he feels like it.

Now, we'll reward him and send an entirely different message to dictators and dictator-wannabes.

And Zelensky’s wardrobe won't make any damned difference.

"Never Again" ended in February of 2022. And what we've done about it to date is the equivalence of a fender-bender compared to an "eight-killed-in-the-intersection" car wreck when Trump gets his way.

It's just a matter of time. And time will be on Putin's side.

Once again, it's becoming clearer and clearer that Putin-Trump is a replay of Chamberlain-Hitler (the disaster of "peace in our time.")

Russia's pressure, regardless of any agreement they may sell out Ukraine with, will be unrelenting.

Guided by recent, post-Korean War American history of, essentially, becoming tired of "foreign entanglements," our presence there will gradually become weaker while Putin's will become increasingly stronger.

At the end of World War 2, most of the war criminals were hunted down and executed. If this is to become the "end" of the Ukraine invasion, the contrasting outcome will become impossible to overlook.

I have been warning against rewarding Putin with any tangible gain from his massacre. Tens of thousands of unpunished war crimes of every imaginable description? No problem. As if they didn't exist.

Billions in damages caused directly by Putin? Who's going to pick up the tab for that? (Hint: it won't be Vlad)

And, of course, Vlad will require a complete lifting of any of the nonsensical sanctions against the former Soviet Union. (I've always known (and have repeatedly stated) that the sanctions Biden imposed would have zero impact on the outcomes in Ukraine: those in power wouldn't notice them. Those who lost yachts, businesses and bank accounts will either get them back or be 'adequately' compensated for their temporary discomfort. Bank accounts will be unfrozen.)

What's the catch phrase of the company that fixes damages to homes and businesses hit by fire or flooding?

"Like it never even happened."

The civilians Vlad slaughtered will remain dead. The women and children victimized by his Armies will remain sexually violated. The buildings and homes destroyed will remain wrecked until the West (including the US) starts writing checks.

Rewarding the 21st Century's REAL version of Hitler (unlike the delusional leftist version that blew up in the left's face last November) for slaughter, maiming, rape, robbery and destruction will be, if not THE biggest mistake of this century, among the top 2.

It will embolden him. It will embolden Xi. America will do what it's always done since the Korean War: Get tired of the hassle and go home.

Putin will take the opportunity to rearm, retrain and rebuild his military, now weaker than they've ever been since World War Two. He'll turn the Black Sea into a Russian lake.

And having done that, he will (not "might," WILL) begin to invade neighboring countries, including NATO countries, because, why shouldn't he? WE won't do anything about it... and his violations of international law and human rights that leftist claim to be so concerned about will go out the window.

Again.

Past, it has been said, is prologue. It is clear that in this matter of foreign policy; few (if any) of the people around Trump or his SecState, Rubio, are pointing out this reality.

Dividing up Ukraine smacks of dividing up Poland, which, come to think of it, was divided up WITH the then Soviet Union.

That, effectively, is what seems to be about to happen here. And how did that work out for everyone involved, not least of all, the Poles?

Another classic example of "penny wise... pound foolish."

Rewarding dictators for invading doesn't quite send the message that needs to be sent. It's the equivalent of freeing a convicted murder-robbery convict and giving them the money they stole in the process.

This isn't rocket science. An "agreement" with Putin makes as much senses as past nuclear weapon agreements with Iran.

And the most painful part of this is: the people in charge KNOW ALL OF THIS.

And they're going to do it anyway.

St. Louis soccer fan removed from game. Why? He was wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat

 Yet another sign of leftist hated and discrimination.

It appears the St. Louis CITY SC wants some sort of partnership with Bud Light.

A guy was tossed out of a soccer game for committing the cardinal sin of wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat to a MLS level soccer game in St. Louis.

The explanation was that it "might offend someone" and that "political expression is not allowed in the stadium," unless it's, say, a "gay pride" or "trans pride" flag.

I've read elsewhere that DOJ is investigating this obvious violation of this guy's civil rights. One can hope. One also ponders the question if this type of arbitrary rule is enforced at all Major League Soccer (MLS) facilities, including the Portland Soviet's under the same conditions (because you know the place is covered with gay/trans/Fakestinian flags, pins, hats, etc.) and if their reaction would be the same.

Imagine the outrage if someone wearing a Harris or Biden ANYTHING was treated this way. There'd likely be riots.... not that the left needs excuses to riot.
