"The Swamp" video series. It's everywhere, including the Legislature... not just Washington, D.C.

One of the unfortunate side-effects of being in politics for the last 30 years is that you get a view...a perspective... a knowledge bank that you frequently wish you didn't have.

You know things... like which Senator is screwing which lobbyist... and I mean in the literal sense... and how that can... and frequently does... wind up getting US screwed.

Locally, we have our own corruption issues: it starts with the local party and heads upwards from there.  A drugged out party chair has a cult following who would take a bullet for his sold- out, narcissistic, criminal ass... people who wouldn't hire him to work for them are doggedly defending this worthless turd who has shattered the local party and is doing so because of BIG money flying around... all while the democrats eat popcorn, unassailed by him at any level.

In the Legislature, the sellouts are obvious.

They run on issues, like Rivers ran on opposing the gas tax/tab fee increases that screwed us... only to vote for those same increases when the time came as well as voting for a budget that caused our property taxes to skyrocket... all while getting a new job working for a DEMOCRAT campaign firm,

There is no question this woman sold us all out.  None.

Once instrumental in killing the CRC/Loot Rail scam, she's been equally instrumental in resurrecting it.

Why?

What happened?

Blackmail?  Pay offs?  Political chits for down the road when a run for, say, Congress, is in the offing?


Do you... any of you reading this... believe she just woke up one day and had an epiphany, and she suddenly realized she'd been wrong all these years... that her opposition to these efforts to nail us was "misplaced?"  That actually representing the will of the people she was elected to "represent" was somehow morally or ethically wrong?

Fat chance.  Someone got to her and they got to her HARD.

Somebody... or a group of somebodies, owns her like the 13th Amendment was never passed.  And there is no question that we have suffered for it as a result.  Nor is there any question that we will suffer for it even more in the future with her scorched-earth policies of ignoring her constituents and simply doing what her downtown mafia masters tell her.

And that, of course, brings us to our worthless political waste of skin, Jaime Herrera.

YEARS in the Legislature and Congress... and she has accomplished.... what?

Nothing. No solutions for the cross-river transportation issues confronting us.  Not even any demands to out the 200 plus colleagues of hers that she KNEW about for the last 14 years who used our taxpayer dollars to buy off their victims.  A worthless, fake representative whose greatest accomplishment to date is to completely alienate the White House from EVER helping this district or the people in it.

Which brings me to this point of this post.

I've been seeing snippets of a series... a video series called "The Swamp."

It's about a group of newer members of Congress who are blowing the whistle on what's going on in DC.

For me, the importance of it extends beyond that... it's also a synopsis of how business is done in Olympia... and to a lesser extent, downtown Vancouver.

Of course, you won't see Herrera in any of these episodes speaking out against the system.  She's a major part of the problem and no part of the solution.

Prepare to become as sickened by all of this as I am.  And KNOW that it infests EVERY element of politics at every level... and that all too few are withstanding this corruption or have withstood it.


BOTH parties are raping us.  And people we know and foolishly trust(ed) are as guilty of corruption and selling us out as the worst politician that ever lived.

You NEED to watch this before EVERY election, not just the primary and the general election coming up.

There is no excuse for this.  There are reasons for it, of course.  They are, after all, but human.  Play to their vanity (Boldt) get the goods on them (Rivers) acquiesce to their arrogance (The Wilsons) and become comfortable with a do-nothing dimbulb (Herrera) and we truly do have the government we deserve... and those most to blame?

Are those of us who put them there... and those of us who keep sending them back while expecting a different outcome.

Of course, if Conservatives said this sort of thing about that simpering idiot that most recently had the job, these same scum would be rioting in the streets.

I loathe and despise unions generally.  I respect the idea of representation of workers... but the extortion and arrogance of unions generally and teacher's unions/public worker unions particularly has galled me the entirety of my adult life.

If unions were such a great idea, they wouldn't require mandatory membership... which is a euphemism for mandatory union hands in union member's pockets. 

As of this morning?

You don't have to join a public-sector union and these so-called "agency fees."  It's now based on volunteerism and not compulsion (Napolitano)

Here in Washington State, for example, all home health care workers must now, effectively, be represented by SEIU 775... whether they want that or not.

Now, that such a requirement is illegal and unconstitutional under Harris V. Quinn 573 U.S. ____ (2014) is indisputable.  But neither democrats or unions give a damn about the law or the Supreme Court if they get in the way of an agenda.

Locally, it was just a couple of weeks ago that the teacher's union mafia in Evergreed Schools indicated they were going on strike if they did not get a THIRTY PERCENT PAY INCREASE over the next three years.

Well, public employee union/teacher union strikes are illegal.  The moment their union goes on strike, their leadership should be arrested and the next day, starting alphabetically, every striking teacher should be arrested as well.

This kind of extortion has been going on unchecked for decades and it's long since past time to put an end to it.

Failing that, (and let's face it, the Washington Education Association owns the legislature like the 13th Amendment is actually the 13th Suggestion)  the second best thing was the decision by the Supreme Court of the United States announced today...

Supreme Court delivers blow to organized labor in fees dispute

Yes, indeed.  The Supreme Court GUTTED unions, right where it hurts: in their massive, bottomless, checkbook.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday dealt a blow to organized labor, ruling that non-members cannot be forced in certain states to pay fees to unions representing public employees such as teachers and police, shutting off a key union revenue source. 

The 5-4 ruling, with the conservative justices prevailing and the liberal justices dissenting, overturned a 1977 Supreme Court precedent that had allowed so-called agency fees that are collected from millions of non-union workers in lieu of union dues to fund non-political activities like collective bargaining. 

The court ruled that forcing non-members to pay these fees to unions whose views they may oppose violates their rights to free speech and free association under the U.S. Constitution’s First Amendment. 

Indeed.  But since when have unions ever cared about things like constitutional rights?

Now, here in Washington State, there is little doubt the Stalinists running public-sector unions won't take this lying down.

I expect they'll be a full court press on the union-controlled democrats by the unions of this state to find anything they believe is a loophole to continue their extortion of the members and the taxpayers.  For example, a two-tiered pay scale, one for union workers and one for those who opt out... even though they're doing the exact, same, job.

After all, the obviously illegal health care worker scam the leftists in the state legislature pulled off was done 4 years after the Supreme Court said that such an action was unconstitutional.

Because one thing's for sure, the other thing the unions don't care about when it suits them?

Any law they don't happen to like.

Other states, including Michigan, have simply made unions optional for ALL (with certain small exceptions) workers, private AND public.

The result?

Workers are abandoning unions by the tens of thousands.

And that's the thing, you see: reiterating - if unions were all THAT great? Membership would never be mandatory.

The irony of this is clear: the Supreme Court decision applies to public sector unions only.  So, if many of these jobs were PRIVATIZED and THEN unionized... this decision wouldn't apply.

But they don't give a damn about the workers as much as they do their political power.  Because if they DID care about the workers?

They'd support free choice of employment as much as they support abortion.

As expected, the Supreme Court upholds the President's travel ban. Again.

In yet another mile marker of leftist hate politics, Sideshow Bobby Ferguson and Shaky Jay Inslee got busted in the chops... again... by a US Supreme Court who ruled for the obvious: that the President has the right to ban people from certain locations over security concerns.

The law is clear in this regard:

Federal immigration law also includes Section 1182(f), which states: “Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate” 

And, of course, the obvious leftist hypocrisy aside, (Obama did roughly the same thing without a peep from leftists... even fringe-left "fact checker" Snopes acknowledges that

The "seven countries" targeted by President Trump's 27 January 2017 executive order pertaining to immigration were not mentioned by name and instead originated with "countr[ies] or area[s] of concern" first identified in the Visa Waiver Program Improvement and Terrorist Travel Prevention Act of 2015 (expanded to all seven countries "of concern" in February 2016).

The difference here is that Mr. Trump NAMED these seven countries while Obama did not.

And that's a distinction without a difference.)

The law is the law.  Don't like the law?

Then change it.

But like the latest scam the left is running on the separation of kids from their illegal alien "parents" at the border, they THOUGHT they had an issue... if not THE issue... to derail a Trump presidency and at a minimum, embarrass and humiliate him... when, after wasting millions of taxpayer dollars on legal fees, they only wound up humiliating themselves.

This is not unlike the moronic lawsuit by Clark County GOP Chair Druggy Davey Gellatly against a PCO who expressed an opinion about that waste of skin and found himself getting his ass sued off as a result.

There's zero legal basis for such a suit.  But the suit itself is to inflict punishment on those wise enough to stand up to the little dictator's tyranny.

 In this instance, the entire point was for leftist morons like Inslee and Sideshow Bobby Ferguson to inflict some sort of revenge/punishment on the President because the hapless cow the left ran was humiliated in the Electoral College outcome... which, let's face it, is the only outcome that matters.

So, once again, the left loses.  And we all lose as a result as they set about to destroy this country in the name of their leftist victimology.

Another pathetic fundraising letter from Jaime Herrera.

SOMEONE has to be honest here and it certainly isn’t her… so it will be me.

This money she raises here isn’t for her: it’s for the NRCC, the National Republican Campaign Committee.

Herrera uses this money to buy her seats on her different committees.

It’s been laid out in videos and articles, such as this one based on an interview of Rep. Thomas Massie

FLATWOODS Every election cycle, U.S. Congressman Thomas Massie said he is “extorted” by the Republican Party to pay $300,000 for his committee assignments.

“I call it extortion, they call it assessments,” he said.

These “assessments,” essentially dues to the Republican party, are fundraised through political action committees and lobbyists as a price to pay for committee positions, Massie told a crowd of about 25 during a recent coffee and pizza forum in Flatwoods. 

He told them, “I can’t go and do a fundraiser and raise $300,000 and stand up in front of people and tell them, ‘Well, you know what? It’s not really about the election. I need the money to buy a committee seat.’”

Rep. Massie says “I can’t go and do a fundraiser and raise $300,000 and stand up in front of people and tell them, ‘Well, you know what? It’s not really about the election. I need the money to buy a committee seat.’”

Well, Jaime Herrera can’t say that either…but that is the reality.

Now for some, Herrera’s lack of accomplishments in Congress is what they want.  The LAST thing they want is a leader… a Trey Gowdy type who asks the tough questions, or a Clay Higgins (R-LA03) type who has passed more bills into law during his 18 months in Congress than Herrera has during her 7.5 years.

So, we have an empty suit occupying a seat where someone COULD actually accomplish something to be proud of.

Instead, we’ve got a cardboard cutout of a congressional member who has failed us.  Repeatedly.

She continues to fail to have even a remote plan to solve the most pressing issue confronting the people of SW Washington, our cross-river transportation problems.

This clueless empty suit who has managed to suck up enough money to get a seat on Appropriations and seats on three different Transportation sub-committees, including the subcommittee on Highways and Transit.

Imagine… those committees… and NOTHING when it comes to solving the cross-river transportation issue in all these years she’s been there.

Worthless.

She continues to attack the President, thereby continuing to isolate this, the 3rd Congressional District as she joins with her fellow leftists in opposing the President’s agenda as she has opposed the president since before election night in 2016… just like her fellow leftists… to include sounding just like Patty Murray or Maria Cantwell on the issue of immigration…. Quite unsurprisingly.

She has failed us by voting to keep the hated and crippling Obama Care.  She continues to lack the guts to hold town hall meetings and she continues to ignore the expressed desires of the people of her district, instead kowtowing to the special interests who keep their pet congresswoman elected at our expense.

And she continues with these absurd fundraising letters, trying to get us you part with money so SHE can continue to buy her committee seat that she then fails to do anything of note with, even when she gets the damned thing.

Meanwhile, what has she done?  How is this district any different than it would be had we never heard of this political opportunist who lives to get reelected when she SHOULD live to represent US?

Had we never heard of her, things would be no worse but they surely could have been markedly better.

We COULD have had a member of congress who was far more concerned about doing the will of the people than she is being an establishment puppet, frightened of her own shadow.

She has more than enough money to defeat any democrat running in the primary.  She claims she needs this money and whines about her “opponent,” presumably Long, about being a carpetbagger.

Well, is this where I remind the reader that Herrera, herself, was the exact, same, thing?

For at least the 10 years before Cathy McMorris parachuted her in here to run against Brian Baird, she hadn’t lived here and hadn’t accomplished anything of note where she HAD lived.

She knew nothing about our issues and could care less about them then as she cares less about them now, best illustrated by her constant and rabid support of the CRC/Loot Rail/Toll scam that her downtown mafia masters want from her.

Which explains why she’s never presented a plan to deal with our cross-river transportation issues… since those who own her like the 13th Amendment was never passed have demanded her support of their I-5 bridge replacement loot rail rip off… at the cost of a paltry $100,000,000 in tolls per year getting sucked out of our communities local economy… to begin with.

The woman is so sadly incompetent that she cannot even get a bill out of the Republican-controlled House of Representatives to end the specter of Oregon sinking additional fangs into the jugular of the commuting public who live in Clark County and points north.

Re-elect her?

For what?

To do… what?  More nothingness?  More of the same disappearing act?

And oh yeah, be a good little lamb and send her a check, won’t you?

Can’t let her lose those fat committee seats she does… and accomplishes… nothing with, except to be a big hit on the party/lobbyist circuit in DC, right?

Memo to candidates: talk to your people putting up signs and knocking down others or names are gonna get named.

Back in the day... namely, when I started volunteering for GOP campaigns, I began putting up signs.  Thousands of them.  Hundreds of 4X8's, 2X4's... uncounted yard signs.

Built them, framed them, planted them.

And in the process, that's when I discovered the issue of sign damage.

Now, for me, personally, I not only never damaged anyone else's political signs, I made it my own personal policy to repair any damaged sign I came across, regardless of party.

So, when I get word from someone I trust with my life that campaign sign people are knocking down signs of others?  I'm going to speak up.

Both sides do it.  Neither side should.

Tell your people to knock it off.  We're supposed to be above that sort of juvenile crap, and if I hear of it again, names are gonna get named, regardless of the candidate or party.

And no, I will not identify either the source or the candidate... so don't bother to ask me.

I know it's true, I know who has done it in this instance and I want it to stop.

Remember: most all information either goes through me or by me.  I wish I didn't know half of what I do know.

But knock off knocking down signs.

This, of course, is a further inching forward to armed conflict with the left, as these people verbally attack and deny rights to their political opponents without fear of retribution or retaliation.

Leftist hypocrisy and double standards are endemic.  Their inability to apply the same standards to themselves that they apply to everyone else is the stuff of legend.

Increasingly, given a lack of typical political issues (Economy, health care, spending, and foreign policy) the left is bereft of actual, real, political issues to run on.

What they do is they disguise hatred and present it as political issues.

Most recently, was their hypocritical insanity over blaming the President for a law signed into effect by President Clinton back in 1997.

So, we have riots; sit ins, protests of all varieties

We have leftist pols trying to make hay off this situation (The Mayor of Seattle felt the need to go to the border?  Why?) And the leftist media engage in propaganda about it (Time Magazine immediately comes to mind) as if they were giving "in-kind" political contributions.

The basis for all of this, of course, is leftist hatred.

You can take an issue.... (Such as, for example, Mr. Trump's decision to ban people from certain Muslim countries) and the leftist scum looking for an issue lose their minds.

Of course, when Obama did THE EXACT SAME THING, where was their outage?  Where we the moronic press conferences by political lowlifes like Sideshow Bob or Inslee?

Nowhere.

What's the difference?

Leftist, partisan, hatred.

It's not about what's right or wrong.

Going back to the Huckabee Sanders issue, for example.  What would the media reaction be if, for example, this had happened to one of Obama's mouthpieces during his regime?

What if a restaurant owner threw out, say, Hillary Clinton because she's pro-abortion?  What if that happened NOW?

I mean, leftist wouldn't complain, would they?

After all, this dive has set the bar, haven't they?

NOW, according to the left, you can discriminate based on who someone works for.

Don't like union members?

Throw them out.

Don't like what the military is doing?

By all means, throw the men and women defending us out on their collective asses.

Police officers?  Why, many in the leftist movements want them dead.  Some have acted on their desire.  Police blood has spilled as a result.... to the essentially complete silence of leftist politicians.

But throw out a leftist from a restaurant because of their political persuasion?

All hell would break loose.

Every day, leftist hatred expands their envelope.  Assaults by fringe-left groups against their political opponents are common place.  Silencing speakers to the right of Mao?  Just another day to the left.

It's OK for leftists to beat people up who disagree with them.  It's OK to riot if something happens they don't like (the insanity of the Portland riots the day after the election in 2016?  Yeah, because it makes PERFECT sense to wreck a community that voted with you upwards of 90%) It's OK to silence speakers who disagree with you, because, well, that Freedom of Speech thing?

No problem.  That doesn't apply to the opponents of the left.

And we accept the assault on the rights of non-leftists BY the left as common-place.

If the roles ever reversed?

Blood would be flowing in the streets.

And that's the problem

This situation is not getting better... it's getting worse.

There are some complexities here to be sure.  But a political litmus test to patronize a business?

As these leftists creep forward, they are going to begin to talk less and assault more.  Right now, the assaults of officials are mostly verbal... but we cannot forget the shooting of Rep. Scalise at a softball practice and the horrific assault of Sen. Rand Paul.

Does anyone reading this believe this aspect of our political interactions is suddenly going to revert to the hope against hope of civility?

You shouldn't.  The left is doing all they can to attack our constitutional rights.

What do we do about it?  Good question.  Buy more ammunition?  I don't know.

But the problem is here, it's now and it's very, very real.

Unsurprisingly, Jaime Herrera sides with the democrats on immigration.

When you have a member of congress who has a level of proven cluelessness that's frightening in both breadth and width, with an equally proven track record of hatred towards the President, is anyone really surprised this waste of skin joined with the far left in her opposition to enforcing immigration laws and working with the democrats to hammer the GOP just in time for the upcoming midterm elections?

This clueless moron doesn't care that these laws were implemented by the left.  She doesn't care that past Administrations on her watch have been doing this exact, same, thing for the past two decades... because unless I missed it, she damned sure didn't complain about it under Obama.

So, we just add this to the list of her political idiocies that include her utter and complete failure to address our cross-river transportation issues, her failure to vote to get rid of Obamacare, her joining with the two leftist cows in the Senate in the trashing of then candidate Trump and now, her support of the democrats trashing the GOP.

Herrera would reward those who broke our laws with permanent residency and a "path to citizenship" for the 3.6 million illegal aliens that Obama allowed in as prospective leftist voters, and for breaking our laws instead of making sure they were NEVER allowed back and NEVER allowed to become citizens.

So, tell me what's worse: her joining with the left to trash the President?

Or my vow to vote against her continuation in office as long as I live?  After all, if it's OK for her to vote against Mr. Trump (And she did, writing in the worthless RINO Speaker, Ryan) then why isn't it OK to vote against her?

  Southwest Washington Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler said Tuesday that she does not support the federal government’s controversial practice of separating children from parents or guardians who have entered the country illegally.

  “Family separation should not be U.S. policy,” she said in a statement to The Daily News.

  President Donald Trump’s administration has not adopted an official policy that states illegal border-crossers must be separated from children, and the two previous administrations also struggled with this issue. But Trump’s new “zero tolerance” effort to deter illegal immigration by criminally prosecuting anyone arrested for entering the country illegally has resulted in the separation of thousands of children from their families.

If the goal is seeking asylum instead of using that as an excuse to be here... then...

NOW, the democrats have formulated a strategy to get him to jump through just about any hoop they want.

Come up with bogus allegations (Judge Roy Moore, anyone?) yell enough, lie enough, exaggerate enough... and, apparently, Mr., Trump will fold like a cheap suit.

Those paying close attention know that this is a scam.  The left has nothing else, so they made this crap up out of whole cloth.

It's not like, no matter what he does, this issue is suddenly going to go away.

To take any action in line with leftist sniveling is to plead guilty to their charges.... no matter how bogus they are.

It is to verify the leftist allegations.  It is to hand them an issue, not only for the mid-term elections, but elections to come. And the left will beat Republicans to DEATH with this... because as we all know... it's all they've got.

It is stupidity wrapped in political idiocy.

These "parents" are here illegally, they put these children at risk to get them here, proving they are unfit to be parents regardless of any other issue.  (and yes, each and every parent should be DNA tested to determine if they are, in fact, parents)

But the reality is this: they have no right to be here; their children, presuming they are their children, have no right to be here, and the lot of them should be deported as a family unit.

But in the end, the responsibility for this situation rests entirely with the adults who brought their illegal children here.

Want to avoid separation?

Then agree to deportation as a unit.

End of problem.

And the president is making a HUGE mistake if he gives in on this.

Huge.  Much like the mistake he made signing that idiotic, adding-to-the-deficit budget he agreed to.

The president has nothing to gain by caving and a great deal to lose if/when he does.

The reeking irony of the democratian: In Their View: Heed Toll Concerns.

As expected, the downtown mafia's mouthpiece, the democratian, is sniveling about Oregon's plan to toll us so they can suck additional tens of millions out of Southwest Washington citizenry, because the hundreds of millions they scam from the people of Washington State, both here and in other locations along our state's southern border, are simply not enough to subsidize their socialist state.

For purposes of this post, however, that is neither here nor there.

For over a decade, this same cancer on our community routinely did the very same thing they now are whining about when it comes to handling Oregon's attempt to extort this fortune from us to further subsidize their socialist utopia.

This same newspaper routinely engaged in character assassination, lies, exaggerations and a downright smear campaign against conservatives who fought the CRC to a standstill.  That slimeball little worm that ran their editorial page, John Laird, referred to those of us opposed to their scam as "cockroaches," for example.

Even now, these same morons still whine about the temporary loss of their beloved rip off.

You see, they have no problem yoking us with tolls... major tolls... almost $2000 per year for each of the 60-odd thousand commuters who sadly earn a living in the Portland metro area.

The only qualifier?

That the money sucked out of our jugular goes for THEIR scam... instead of Oregon's.

For years, the people of this community... this county... tried to get the morons infesting the Vancouver Soviet to listen.

They refused.  They attacked those who stood against them.  They continue to loath the opposition to their scheme much like they hate President Trump.

The last sentence in their self-serving pap addresses the sting they STILL feel because we dropped their plans into the river, so to speak:

Washington’s rejection of the Columbia River Crossing proposal in 2013 created unnecessary enmity between the states. We understand that. But we hope that Oregon does not add to the discord with an inequitable tolling plan.

And that's the stench of their reeking irony, even now.

Killing off the CRC/Loot Rail scam remains just as important now as it did then.  But the bitter taste of their defeat, where they were out hustled, out-fought and out-campaigned STILL makes them ashamed of that loss... where, once again, they continue to blame everyone but themselves.

It also confirms that they learned nothing from the humiliation of the defeat they so richly deserved, and that even now, after all these years, they still don't give a damn that the people still oppose their multi-billion dollar waste of money.

The tone and tenor of their begging little editorial does show that they're starting to get just a bit upset that Oregon is doing to them exactly the same thing these downtown Vancouver slime did to us: ignore us.

And they really, really, REALLY don't like that.

Their problem?

They long since lost the moral high ground.  You cannot demand that others listen when you, yourself, refused to listen when YOU had the opportunity, like they refused to listen then and refuse to listen now.

The other part of the problem is even more simplistic: we have zero leverage.

As I pointed out, Oregon is not going to listen.

Why should they?  The example was set by these same whining, sniveling low-life punks so many years ago when THEY had the opportunity to listen and WE, they thought, didn't have any leverage.

No, Oregon is not going to listen for the simplest of reasons: they don't have to. From Oregon's perspective, that's great reasoning.

And the irony of it is that for the downtown mafia of THIS community, it is the reasoning THEY frequently use when it comes to their implementation of THEIR agenda.

People object.  People try to run initiatives.  The city sues them into silence.  The city changes the rules to silence the opposition to their scams at city council meetings.

The democratian, BEING the democratian, supports those efforts to shut us up.

But now?

Now the shoe's on the other foot.  And the panic that's setting in downtown is simple: if Oregon sticks it to us with tolls, when the time comes for the scum in downtown Vancouver to do the same to get the CRC Scam built, any politician supporting that effort will likely get hung... either literally... or at the polls.

So, they hit their knees in a futile effort to beg Oregon to leave us alone so the downtown mafia can screw us with THEIR tolls instead... because guess what?

The CRC will NEVER happen if Oregon implements tolls... and they damned well know it.

Lacking any political issue for the midterms, leftists make one up: separation of illegal alien children from their parents.

You know, it really sucks to be a democrat these days.

In this precursor to the 2020 election, leftists are looking around for an issue.... ANY issue... they can run on for the mid-terms, much like they'll be looking for at least one for the 2020 general election.

What can they complain about that will capture an electorate's attention?

It's so bad that in West Virginia, for example, a democrat nominee for the US House is running... as a TRUMP SUPPORTER, claiming he VOTED for Trump in the most recent presidential election.

The economy is cruising in the stratosphere.  There are hundreds of thousands more jobs available than there are people, which is pressuring wages up.

Tax cuts aside, record revenue is pouring into government coffers... none of the gloom and doom predictions of the Trump-haters of either major party have come true.

The investigation by Mueller is blowing up in leftist faces.  Trumps handling of the NorK situation to this point is a foreign policy triumph.  ISIS is in tatters.  China's expansionist agenda has suddenly slowed down remarkably as US Military forces continue right-of-passage patrols in the disputed areas of the South China Sea.

American energy production now leads the world.  Mr. Trump is now ahead of that clueless idiot he replaced in the polls as, once again, we're reminded that "it's the economy, stupid."

Yes, the leftist have enough mud on their faces to start an earth-worm factory, as it turns out the disaster they were hoping and praying for (That moron on HBO, Bill Maher speaks for leftists haters everywhere when he babbles that this country needs a recession so we can blame it on the President.)

Well, that ain't happening.  GDP is hitting numbers that under Obama's incompetence were simply unheard of.

So, whatever are the leftists to do?

They have to make up an issue, fast. Doesn't have to be true, you understand.... after all, leftists typically lie with the frequency of their breathing ("If you like your plan, you can keep your plan... if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.")

So, what are they trying to do?

Make up some bogus, bullshit garbage out of whole cloth concerning the so-called "separation" of illegal alien children from the illegal alien adults who brought them here under the typical "asylum" scam made so popular under THE worst president the country has ever known by the illegal executive order that resulted in "DACA," the unconstitutional order signed by the moron that required children who came here illegally to have their status issues "deferred".

So, what does the leftist media show us? What are those fringe-left American hating scum with titles attempting to do?

1.  These people have no right to be here.

That's a problem... but it's not a problem for US, it's a problem for THEM.  They are ILLEGAL ALIENS. Leftists love to play games with words, but none of that matters.  They have no right to be here.

2.  During the Obama regime, this kind of crap was common place:

One of the HUNDREDS of trains carrying THOUSANDS of illegal alien children into this country without ANY parents... ALREADY "separated" during the Obama Regime.

Thousands and thousands of parentless children, dumped on these trains and shoved over our border... in large part because of that simple idiot and his bogus DACA scam.

Because, of course, to be a leftist is to be a hypocrite.

3.  People make choices all the time: in this case, coming here illegally (with... or without... children) is a BAD choice.

Leftists, typically lying, of course, claim we treat these kids like they're dogs in the Humane Society.

The stories... the lies of the democrats spew everywhere in the media.

One has to wonder: by now these illegal alien "parents" KNOW they're likely to be separated from their children and if the fringe-left nutjobs are to be believed, their kids are going to be treated worse than cattle.

So.  If their kids are SOOOOO important to these "parents," then tell me: why are they subjecting them to this kind of treatment?

Here's the thing:

I really wouldn't care if the allegations WERE true: the responsibility for bringing these illegal alien children over the border rests ENTIRELY with those claiming to be their parents.

They do this KNOWING the Obama-DACA charade is OVER.

4.  When American parents engage in criminal activity, or neglect of their children, "separation" happens all the time.  Child Protective takes these kids away from their parents around the country EVERY DAY... and they do it for far less than endangering these children like these illegal aliens have done.

I missed the vigils, the whining, the leftist sniveling over THAT reality.

5.  So the leftist idiots, lacking any issue of importance to run on, are doing their level best to actually fabricate one.

They are doing what they typically do.  They're blaming the GOP for all of this generally and President Trump particularly, as if this same thing didn't start years before he ever set foot in the Oval Office.

But back then, because it was, to them, their Saint Obama that caused it and was doing it, that was fine.

There's footage all over the net showing Obama, Hillary, Feinstein, et all, sounding a great deal like they were Republicans when it came to the issue of illegal aliens.

More teacher union extortion, this time from the Evergreed teachers.

As regular readers know, I loathe, hate and despise teachers unions.

They hold our children hostage over their salaries, make outrageous demands and we always, always, ALWAYS cave to them.

And that makes me a guaranteed "no" vote on all bond and levy requests.

But THIS?

THIS IS SIMPLE EXTORTION.

The next time any teacher anywhere lies to you about how their strikes are for "the kids," show those scum this.  It never HAS been "for the kids."

And for me, the response is simple:

If you're a striking teacher I have to presume you're a moron.  A blithering idiot who simply was unaware of what teaching paid.  An ingrate who couldn't read the contract you signed and who had no real idea what the commitments were in time, standards and education when you TOOK the job.

Here's the thing: no one forces you to teach.  You don't like what the job pays for your 183 day, 7 hour work day job?

Then quit.

You don't like your retirement, bonuses, local pay increases, step increases, and benefits are?

Then go pump gas for a living.  I don't want you in a classroom with children.

Here is a letter Rep. Liz Pike (R-18) received from the Superintendent of the Evergreen School District, where these scum are demanding a THIRTY PERCENT PAY INCREASE OVER 3 YEARS.

It spells out their extortion.

Strikes are illegal in this state.  These scum ought to be jailed if they try this.

Oh, yeah... and a special thanks to Sen. Ann "Gas Tax" Rivers who helped to do her best to both cause our property taxes to explode for this crap AND to cause these scum to try and hold up local districts for even MORE pay.

Attention Evergreen Public School (EPS) families; first off I wish to thank all of our dedicated teaching professionals who work hard in their classrooms to prepare our children for a bright future!

Their job is not easy!!!

This email was sent to me by EPS Superintendent. The union is taking a teacher strike vote on Aug. 23 if they don’t get the 30% increase over three years that they are demanding. Right now EPS and the union have one remaining year on a three year contract that provides for an 18% combined increase (including a 6% raise next year). This is not enough to satisfy union bosses and they are demanding an 18% raise - not 6% in year three. EPS taxpayers - do you favor a 30% increase for teachers or the current legally binding contract of 18% over three years? I’ve been told the union demand will bankrupt the district.

Here’s additional details contained in the email sent to my Legislative email address.

“Representative Pike,

As you may have seen and will continue to see throughout the summer, the Evergreen School District is working through a demand to bargain by the Evergreen Education Association. In addition to letting you know that all of the materials are available on our web site (Labor Relations Page), I want to share with you some of the specific information relative to the district position.

When the dust settles from the McCleary fix implementation, Evergreen will not be one of the districts that benefit. The attached McCleary Court letter was sent to our community showing how Evergreen (+$6.5M) compares to Vancouver (+$14M) and Lake Washington (+$65M). While we have shared this information with the Association Leadership, they are still continuing to demand an 18% compensation increase (EEA Proposal attached). We are trying to be good stewards of the taxpayers’ investment in education and do not have the ability to meet this expectation without significant damage to our instructional program and long-term financial stability of the district.
Here is the current status of bargaining and the district’s position:

Summary of Negotiations:

There have been two bargaining sessions lasting about 90 minutes each.

The Association Leadership presented a salary schedule that constituted about an 18% increase above the current year and 12% above the agreed to contract for next year.

The District wants to discuss when to schedule the state-funded PD/LID day and the Association Leadership is proposing to include the funds for the new day in the salary increase and not add an additional day.

The district presented financial information on future revenue projections, cost analysis of the Association Leadership’s proposal, and comparisons to Lake Washington.

Both sides agreed to the accuracy of the District’s financial projections.

The District and the Association Leadership disagree on the interpretation of some key McCleary “fix” legislation on salary limitations.

Association Leadership canceled the next meeting and walked out several hours early on the last meeting indicating there is no reason to continue talking until the district changes its legal interpretation and agrees there is no 3.1% cap on increases for next year. Since that time, they have reached out and agreed to meet again on July 19th.

On June 13th, the Association Leadership authorized a strike vote for their scheduled meeting on August 23rd absent a new salary schedule even though we have an existing contract for next year. 

Summary of District Position:

We have an existing contract in good standing. This contract can continue to be implemented for the upcoming year in compliance with established law. It will provide approximately 6% compensation increase for next year making the total 3-year compensation increase in this contract 18.56%. At that time, the Association Leadership asserted, and we agreed this increase was to make up for lack of BEA funding from the state. The district position is to honor this contract and thanks to the work of the legislature, we can financially afford the third year (see below).

Evergreen will not be realizing any significant ongoing increase in overall funding due to the McCleary “fix” legislation.

Unlike some other districts, our reduction in levy and high experience level of staff offset nearly all of the state funding increase.

The district will be glad to continue discussing options and alternatives that are compliant with current regulations and can reasonably fit within the district’s financial limitations.

For way of comparison, compensation numbers for the current (2nd) year and next (3rd) year of our three-year agreement are:

$57,383 Salary Schedule Base Salary,

22.55% R&I of TRI = $12,940,

Starting teacher total compensation = $45,568 (+$1,500 professional fund)

$58,473 Salary Schedule Base Salary (1.9% Inflationary increase),

27.55% R&I of TRI = $16,109 (5% negotiated TRI w/ no additional duties or responsibilities),

5 days = $1,624 (addition of new state funded LID day per contract)

Total: $76,207 (6.44% increase) (+$1,500 professional fund)

Starting teacher total compensation = $48,501 (+$1,500 professional fund)

Top End teacher total compensation = $91,417 (+$1,500 professional fund)
