What happened to THESE democrats warning us about illegals?

A minute long video of democrats... Clinton, Schumer, Reid, Jordan and closing with Clinton, warning us about illegal aliens and claiming we have to put a stop to illegal immigration.

That was then, of course.

This is now.

How quickly the open-borders left forgets.

All Americans, not only in the states most heavily affected, but in every place in this country,  are rightly disturbed by the large number of illegal aliens entering our country 

Our immigration policies are a shambles. Plain and simple, and right now our borders are amazingly porous to people who shouldn't be here such as terrorists, drug smugglers, etc. 

If you break our laws by entering this country without permission and give birth to a child, we reward that child with U.S. citizenship and then we wonder why we have an illegal immigration problem.

Unlawful immigration is not acceptable.

We are a nation of immigrants, but we are also a nation of laws. It is wrong and ultimately self-defeating for a nation of immigrants to permit the kind of abuse of our immigration laws that we have seen in recent years and we must do more to stop it. 

WHY are leftist politicians so adamant about killing the SAVE ACT

Prepare to be shocked... SHOCKED, I tell ya!

Leftists opposed to the SAVE Act are once again literally on the wrong end of yet another 80/20 issue.

As far back as October 2024, 83% of American voters support the core tenet of that legislation. The few democrats voting for that act have been savaged by their hard-core, fringe-left base, treating that obvious requirement (that voting be limited to American citizens and requiring proof of citizenship to register) like the rioting scum in Portland treat the ICE facility.

Democrat supporters of this legislation, which, to be bluntly honest, DOES include our congresswoman, are verbally beaten to a pulp by the fringe-left of their own party.

They remind silent in the face of the massive, bipartisan support for this legislation across the voting spectrum of this country.

In the face of fringe opposition, one must ponder... why?

WHY do they oppose this obviously needed legislation? In fact, that opposition lends itself to outright justification to PASS it.

This situation is reminiscent of the 2020 election debacle. Georgia has recently been in the spotlight for their electoral incompetence in that election... which begs the issue: why were leftists so terrified of investigations?

They did everything they could, everywhere they could, to stop any investigation of any kind. Lawsuits, TV whining, demands to end it.... but why?

Imagine the political difference the world would face today had they agreed to the total transparency demanded by the GOP?

There were only two possible outcomes: had the democrats agreed, participated fully, encouraged the states and people involved to be totally forthcoming and the investigation revealed...

Nothing.

Or, the second outcome: that the so-called "election deniers" had been absolutely right, that their assertions of voter fraud and ballot manipulation had been correct?

Kinda like that revealed in Georgia a few days ago? You know... like that neither democrat US Senator would have been elected? Like Biden would have lost as a result of corruption replication across the several states that all mysteriously shut down their ballot counting at roughly the same time?

Folks, if my 30+ years in politics taught me anything, the most lasting lesson is that there are no coincidences in politics.

There's a reason the left attacked those with concerns about the 2020 electoral outcomes with a viciousness reserved for the mafia.

And, of course, let us not forget the DEMOCRAT election deniers who were never crucified by the press for their sour grapes. For example, 41% of Harris voters polled claimed the results were illegitimate. At least one suit filed in New York challenged the outcome.

Other democrat election deniers include Maxine Waters, Jaime Raskin, Pramila Jayapal, Barbara Lee, Raul Grijalva, Stacy Abrams, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris, Hakeem Jeffries, Shiela Jackson Lee, Barbara Boxer and many others are ALSO election deniers... but because they're leftists?

No one cares.

One wonders: Why does the left have their OWN election deniers, while continuing to oppose steps to strengthen the very election security so many of them have complained about?

When THEY lose.

The reality is clear: had they wanted honest elections, they would have joined in the 2020 calls for investigation instead of fighting it tooth and nail.

After all, what's the worst that could have happened? That confidence in election outcomes would have skyrocketed based on the outcomes? So, why did the left fight it so hard?

And why now, when even CNN has pointed out MASSIVE support for these efforts to ensure that only legal voters are allowed to vote?

You can draw your own conclusions.

What, exactly, did those in power know, and when did they know it?

It's not just that leftists lie, it's that they do it so badly.

My polider (political+spider) senses are beginning to tingle.

 Promises are being ignored in the name of political expediency. The last administration used the same "justification."

During the campaign, a variety of pledges were made. Among those were the release of the Epstein List (which certainly does exist) the removal of all illegal aliens (which the majority of the entirety of this country supports) and ending military aid to Ukraine (which I have vociferously opposed on these very pages)

Among other promises.

Here's the reality as I see it: on the matter of illegal aliens, we either want to end the problem, or not.

Like pregnancy, one either is, or one isn't. There's zero middle ground.

There cannot successfully be a carve out for illegal farm workers.

We cannot, as a country, begin to classify illegals based on the illegal hirings by companies breaking federal law to reduce prices.


Hiring an illegal for any job violates federal law. 8 U.S. Code § 1324a - Unlawful employment of aliens and 8 U.S. Code § 1324 - Bringing in and harboring certain aliens is specific in that regard.

If the United States is to ever end, or at least severely curtail the illegal alien issue, then the elimination of the illegal alien destination resort we've built must be Job 2 after Job 1, locking down the Border.

That resort includes the waste of hundreds of billions of dollars spent by government and paid for by US, that continues to draw illegals like flies to honey.

To permanently control the influx of illegals, every effort should be made to eliminate any reason they would come here to begin with. At the top of this list, second only to the massive waste of billions on illegal alien welfare programs, is a "job." or any variety of employment.

Trump's development of a carve out is a "camel's nose under the tent flap" approach to governance. Any such program, rule or law will always, ALWAYS result in a gradual mission creep as OTHER illegals are added to some sort of "critical" job set.

It will become a justification for the left to defend ALL illegal alien/open border policies as the merely point to what appears to be an exception for "some," but not for all. It's a matter of time before an increasing number of job classifications would be added to such a list of illegal alien employers to justify their continued exploitation of those who have zero legal right to have ever set foot in to this country.

And yes, I have noticed the reality that to date, illegals are arrested/deported while those hiring them suffer no apparent ill-consequence of any kind.

What kind of message is that sending to employers who's business model depends on the illegal hiring of illegal aliens?

Ending the issue of open borders, illegal aliens and criminal activities they engage in was one of the biggest platform planks Trump used to get elected. As were the release of Epstein List, which this nation's attorney general claimed at one point was "sitting on her desk", as well as the ending of aid to Ukraine (which, I reiterate, I STRONGLY oppose)

Tap dancing on this issue for ANY reason is unacceptable. It's handing the left a major wedge issue, it's short sighted and while Trump abhors the "amnesty" term in reference to this select group, at base, it appears that no other noun seems to cover the root action.

Amnesty: the act of an authority (such as a government) by which pardon is granted to a large group of individuals.

What other term applies? People are watching. And people are noticing. And many are getting pissed.

Immigration, Epstein, Ukraine: Trump’s moves roil MAGA base

With the deployment of Marines and additional National Guard, the leftists running California and L.A. HAVE to keep the riots going.

They have no choice now.

If Trump succeeds, it will be ANOTHER political disaster for both Newsom AND Bass, who proved their political incompetence in the recent fires that rocked LA.

If Trump's deployment of troops is successful, then he will get the credit and Gov. Incompetence along with Mayor Moron will look like complete idiots that Trump had to come in and bail out in SPITE of them, their opposition notwithstanding.

Trump, for his part, now MUST end these riots by whatever means he can for the same reason.

The ripple effects of this will likely determine the mid-terms and play a major role in '28, either way.

Both sides are all in. Now, we've got to see what The River will deal.

The LA rioting circus.

Watching the leftist riots in LA, the thought occurred to me that leftists generally and elected democrats ALWAYS excuse/justify these riots, never holding those actually engaging in burning, looting and assaulting responsible, always siding with those same rioters and always lending at least tacit approval of those riots by blaming others generally, and Trump, et al, particularly, as if he is responsible for every fire, every police officer injured, every bit of vandalism and all destruction resulting from the actions of the political allies of those in charge.

Why not blame the rioters? Because elected democrats see them as political allies. Burn buildings, block freeways, assault police officers, fail to hold rioters accountable? That's the democrat standard de jour as we observed all too frequently during the THREE MONTHS of unfettered riots in the Oregon capitol of leftistism, Portland. 

Newsom, for his part is not making demands of the rioters. In fact, Newsom's latest debacle is to placate his rioting political allies by wasting additional taxpayer dollars to sue Trump for deploying federalized troops in his formerly great state. Since he supports them, he's shifting all the blame to Trump, as if that abrogates his responsibilities as governor.

It doesn't.

Those in charge all took an oath to enforce the laws of their respective cities and their state. Yet, they're doing essentially nothing to enforce that oath or those very laws.

Instead they whine and snivel and blame Trump for doing what HE is REQUIRED to do.... and they then blame those brought there to enforce the law instead of blaming any of those responsible for breaking it.

Count on the left to continue to be supportive of the scum rioting. Count on them to staunchly defend the 20 in the 80/20 equation on issues the American people do not support.

As usual, ala their Tesla debacle, leftist politicians either remain silent or come out directly in support of those who would damage, burn, loot and assault, using the arrest and round up/deportation of those who have no legal right to be here and who, in many instances, have shown a proclivity to use our laws as toilet paper generally and then, once here, engage in every conceivable crime from murders on downwards, specifically.

Those in leadership on the left have proven their disregard of their constituency by fighting harder to return an illegal alien criminal to the United States than they fight for the safety and the rights of those same criminal's victims.

And how does the left respond?

Well, the Governor of California is far more concerned about the presence of federalized National Guard troops in his state than he is over the actions of those that were the cause of their deployment in the first place. His latest political kabuki theater? Suing Trump for the obviously needed deployment of Guard troops.

The democrat’s political priorities have ben screwed up for years. Doubling down on those priorities to the determent of the people they're in office to protect (which does not include illegal aliens, BTW) will not improve their standing at the polls, where it matters most.

Supporting the abhorrent, hate-based criminal activities of their supporters will not avail them the success they so desperately seek based on the blood and destruction they so obviously foment and crave to achieve their political agenda.

Yet, that is precisely what democrats are doing here... never allowing a serious crisis to go to waste. Meanwhile, they continue to provide support and assistance to their illegal alien voter base in violation of federal law as they directly aid and abet illegals violating the laws of the United States.

This is them, doing that.

So, the county plans to verify worker citizenship? Weren't we already doing that?

So... is it the typically poor writing of the local paper? Or is it the disturbing revelation that the county has not been confirming the citizenship of the county work force?

The only aspect of the new policy that I find myself in disagreement with is this:

The commissioners asked Tuesday for a proposal by Jan. 1 to start feeding the Social Security numbers of new deputies, secretaries, janitors and other county workers into the federal E-Verify database.

My operative concern is for the word "new." Why is it just "new?" Why doesn't this apply to all current and retired county employees as well?

As for Commissioner Boldt's concerns.... and subsequent efforts to placate the so-called "League of United Latin American Citizens".... that's a crock as well.

If ONE job is held by an illegal alien, that's one job too many.... one county job... one private sector job.

Assigning some level of power or concern to illegal alien advocates is a bad idea. Bad for this community and bad for our economy.

Printing an obvious lie:

"Many municipalities are having problems with unemployment," said Maria Rodriguez-Salazar, a local LULAC leader. "And it has nothing to do with illegal immigrants. It has to do with greedy people who made some bad decisions."

and caving to the faux "victimization" agenda:

Also Tuesday, Commissioner Marc Boldt said the commissioners shouldn't have implied, in their earlier action, that illegal immigration is responsible for the county's unemployment rate.

The Sept. 1 resolution mentioned the local unemployment rate as a reason to check contract workers' identities electronically.

"It almost made the reader believe that we have high unemployment because we have undocumented workers," Boldt said. "And that's not true."

to further the leftist, illegal alien agenda gives this fringe group power they do not merit and assigns them a platform they do not deserve.

There are three, absolutely unassailable facts here:

First: They are not "undocumented workers." An undocumented worker is someone that doesn't have the paperwork to prove they have a legal right to work. That someone CAN have the right to work by citizenship.... they just don't happen to have the necessary ID.

We are not discussing those who have the legal right to work here, and I am getting sick of public officials who turn their backs on their legal responsibilities by kowtowing to political correctness.

We are discussing ILLEGAL ALIENS. ILLEGAL ALIENS HAVE NO RIGHT TO WORK HERE. THEY HAVE NO RIGHT TO BE HERE. And no amount of lipstick on that particular pig can change it. That local illegal alien advocates don't like the phrase "illegal alien" does not make it any less accurate or useful as a term of description.

Words have meaning. Illegal aliens are violating our laws. The prissy use of the term "undocumented workers" provides them with cover for being here and cover for breaking our laws... as if the issue was merely one of some paperwork snafu and not one of a deliberate choice to violate the laws of the United States.

Second: we have illegal aliens working in Clark County.

Third, contrary to the lie that illegal aliens do NOT contribute to our unemployment, the mere fact that an illegal alien is holding a job in Clark County during these difficult times by definition indicates that their presence here DOES, in fact, do the very thing they now claim it does not:

Contribute to the highest unemployment rate in the State of Washington.

Boldt needs to be a little less concerned about placating those who do not deserve it, and a little more concerned about enforcing the laws he's sworn to uphold.

My take on the illegal alien issue: is it time for a National ID?

We can easily presume that Mr. Obama will reverse most of, if not all of, Mr. Bush’s efforts, weak as they were, to address the immigration issue.

Estimates vary. Some say the number of illegals is 10 million. Some, 12 million. Others, even bigger numbers. What is beyond dispute is that we are currently possessed of millions upon millions of people who are breaking the laws of this country merely by their presence.

We are possessed of millions of illegal aliens when Mr. Bush assumed office; we are possessed of them now that he is leaving… 8 years later. It is perhaps one of, if not the, most colossal failures of the Bush Administration and one of the main reasons for his massive lack of popularity.

The costs to this country are really incalculable. Illegal voting. Illegal health care. Illegal “sanctuary cities.” Massive impacts on social services. Illegal attendance at public schools. Using up college slots that could be filled with legal residents. Massive negative impacts on drug manufacture and transportation.

Leftists demanding that illegal aliens get the same rights and considerations as citizens, including those citizens who went through the legal process to become citizens… who applied legally, waited their turn legally, and became citizens, legally.

Leftists know they benefit from the illegal vote. Leftists demand immediate amnesty, open boarders and complete forgiveness of the violation of our laws.
The illegal alien issue has not gone away. At some point, soon, the leftists, emboldened by the election of The One, will push for this “reform” because there’s trouble looming on the horizon and leftists want to avoid a 1994 off-year election re-run.

I advocate that we enforce immigration laws much like we enforce illegal drug manufacture laws.

That is, if you hire an illegal alien for anything, you suffer the same penalty as you would if you were convicted of manufacturing meth or some other illegal drug.

This is not an arbitrary requirement. I recognize that such an obligation would require a functioning information clearing house so that perspective employers could pick up the phone and check social security numbers and other information to verify citizenship… but that system should be in place regardless, so that anyone can find out how many people are using their own social security number.

That said, if you hire an illegal, you should go to prison. You should lose your business. You should lose your house and your cars and your jewelry and your… and your…

We are either enforcing immigration laws, or we’re not.

Sending this mixed message… that we’re kinda-sorta enforcing them sometimes depending… does nothing to discourage those who would violate our laws from doing so. Putting the onus on those who make it possible; the employers; would do the trick.

Further, all government funding should be withheld from any municipality that does not aggressively enforce immigration laws. Taking it a step farther, I would put a requirement on our school systems to require proof of citizenship for all students before they’re allowed in.

In short, it’s time for a national identification card. And if anyone’s got a better idea, I’d love to hear it. And Mr. Bush’s amnesty program is not a “better idea.” Nor is “amnesty.”

As a nation, we should never reward the violation of our laws. And either of those programs would accomplish that very thing. Further, either program would STILL result in millions here illegally… solving nothing.

Lock down the border, fence and National Guard. Hold ALL employers accountable, from the largest employers to Joe down the street.

We must do what has to be done. But we won’t… because Mr. Bush lacked the guts and the vision; and Mr. Obama and the democrats are not remotely interested in doing what has to be done.
