What happened to THESE democrats warning us about illegals?

A minute long video of democrats... Clinton, Schumer, Reid, Jordan and closing with Clinton, warning us about illegal aliens and claiming we have to put a stop to illegal immigration.

That was then, of course.

This is now.

How quickly the open-borders left forgets.

All Americans, not only in the states most heavily affected, but in every place in this country,  are rightly disturbed by the large number of illegal aliens entering our country 

Our immigration policies are a shambles. Plain and simple, and right now our borders are amazingly porous to people who shouldn't be here such as terrorists, drug smugglers, etc. 

If you break our laws by entering this country without permission and give birth to a child, we reward that child with U.S. citizenship and then we wonder why we have an illegal immigration problem.

Unlawful immigration is not acceptable.

We are a nation of immigrants, but we are also a nation of laws. It is wrong and ultimately self-defeating for a nation of immigrants to permit the kind of abuse of our immigration laws that we have seen in recent years and we must do more to stop it.

Where's UN Special Envoy to Haiti Bill Clinton? Where was he Friday? Where will he be Sunday?

Is he doing the work he signed up to do? Is he going to Haiti? Is he meeting with UN officials, coordinating relief efforts, or anything of that sort?

Former President Bill Clinton will bring his campaigning power to her aid on Friday, and in the meantime, Ms. Coakley is adding to her schedule the kind of meet-and-greet stump events that she largely ducked for weeks.

Nope. He's doing everything he can to plug the thousands of holes Martha Coakley has been blowing into the hull of her little, floundering, campaign boat.

And Sunday... where's the Empty Suit going to be?

In Massachusetts (Not having learned his lesson in New Jersey) doing the same.

While thousands of people... very BLACK people (Shades of Katrina. Remember the racism allegations against Bush by the fringe-left nutters based on HIS response?) are dying.

It's all a matter of priorities, you see. And what's a few thousands Haitians compared to saving that moronic, unwanted, unsalvageable health care bill?

What say the White House cancel their weekly, Nero-esque like parties and take that money and donate it to Haitian relief?

What say the empty suit cancel playing golf for a few years, and take all THAT money and donate it to Haitian relief?

Anyone want to hold their breath? I know that the same fringe left nutters who so roundly condemned Bush for HIS golf exploits will remain as silent on that now as they have since the Empty Suits inauguration.

Sarkosy, on the other hand, walked over and got the girl's phone number... Frenchman being French and all that.

SO... where's the leftist outrage? Democratic fundraiser convicted of corruption

It wasn't that long ago... the leftists whining and sniveling over GOP corruption, both real and imagined. "Transparency!" was the order of the day, and demands for character and integrity.

And now, we're met with, perhaps, the most opaque Administration in history... and corruption everywhere from the criminal tax cheats and lobbyists that Obama, post-campaign-promise-to-the-contrary, have plugged into his Cabinet and offices like a Glade air-stinkener.

And now, we have additional proof of DEMOCRAT corruption.

It's been my position for a long time that BOTH parties engage in corruption, at least on the individual level. Yet the leftists rarely express concern over the issue when it's their guys engaging in the practice.

Norman "Stormin' Norman" Hsu found guilty... of violating campaign finance laws for the left... sort of a one man ACORN.

Yet, there appears to be little of that old-fashioned "outrage" of our leftist brethren. Why?

No honor among thieves?

The problem here of the silence of the left is that when they really DO discover corruption, it will be very hard to believe their typically exaggerated, politically motivated claims... since they totally implement a double standard of hypocrisy on the matter.

Democratic fundraiser convicted of corruption

Longtime fundraiser Norman Hsu was convicted Tuesday of violating campaign finance laws in a case that became an embarrassment to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and other prominent Democrats he courted.

Longtime fundraiser Norman Hsu was convicted Tuesday of violating campaign finance laws in a case that became an embarrassment to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and other prominent Democrats he courted.

A jury in federal court in Manhattan deliberated less than three hours over two days before returning the guilty verdict. Hsu, already jailed following an earlier guilty plea, showed no reaction as he was led out of court.

"I think he expected it because it was quick," said his attorney, Alan Seidler. The lawyer said there would be an appeal.

Hsu, 58, had been accused of using clients of his fraudulent investment business, including actors and other political novices, as straw donors to make thousands of dollars in campaign donations. The scheme was designed to bypass rules limiting the amount any single individual or group can donate.

During the trial that began May 12, television actress Susan Chilman testified that she given nearly $42,000 to Clinton and other Democratic candidates. Once she took out her checkbook, Hsu would simply give her a name and an amount, then later reimburse her, said Chilman, who's had roles in "Brothers & Sisters," "CSI Miami" and "ER" under the stage name Susan Pari.

Jurors also heard testimony from several other investors who recounted how Hsu showed off his political connections by decorating his home with photos of himself with marquee Democrats. One witness testified she met President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Clinton, President Bill Clinton, Sen. John Kerry, Sen. Ted Kennedy and Rep. Patrick Kennedy of Rhode Island at fundraisers she attended with him.

Prosecutors played a voicemail recording of Clinton, then a senator, effusively praising Hsu for his loyal support.

It was just one of many stories of the rank, steaming pile of hypocrisy that is our President.

Anti-Israeli progressive Harvard Professor Samantha Power, fired (Yeah, I know it says "resigned," but that's like the convenient decision to forget that President Obama is half-white) from the Obama Campaign, for shooting off at the mouth at our new Secretary of State, suddenly finds herself hired in the same capacity, this time for a pay check.

Are you surprised?

There is a major irony here, of course; during the campaign, Power sniveled:

Power told the Scotsman newspaper that Clinton would stop at nothing to defeat Obama. "She is a monster, too," Power said in the interview. "She is stooping to anything." Power added that "the amount of deceit she has put forward is really unattractive."

Seems to me that she's not the only one.

Leave it to the Icelanders: A simple plan to get us to agree to the Obama fiscal vision (Or as most realists put it, "Nightmare.")

I'm a cynic. Of course, anyone reading this blog for more than 30 seconds has already divined that factoid, but I admit it. Cynicism in this day and age of our MSM acting as if they all answer to the President's Press Secretary should, to a greater or lesser degree, become a component in us all.

I do not agree with Mr. Obama's bailout plan. I've been staunchly opposed to the scam known as TARP. The handling of the latter, wherein billions of our dollars were redistributed to banks; many of which have not, well, exactly chosen to use them as they were intended, has negatively impacted the former... and WHAT a surprise THAT has been, eh?

Meanwhile, President Obama is out there like a duck, outwardly placid but shilling his butt off to get congressional support for his latest fiscal fantasy, yet another trillion dollars to bury us with out here in the Hinterland.

Well, thanks to the fine folks in Iceland that have resigned, causing their government to fall (meaning new elections will be held to determine replacements... you've got to love a parliamentary, proportional representative system) I've come up with a way to get us to ALL agree to the Obama Plan.

The beauty of it is simple.

Our democrat-controlled government wants us generally, and Congress specifically, to support this massive, horrific waste of money. OK, fine: here's how it can be done.

1. Obama and the democrat leadership come out and explain, IN DETAIL, what the plan is... AND WHAT IT WILL ACCOMPLISH. By that end, I mean, where we'll be be in 6 months, 12 months, 18 months and so forth. That way, we will ALL get the chance to see if the plan is worthwhile, plus we'll have the advantage of being able to see in the future for purposes of financial stability.

"Where we'll be" to my mind means where interest rates will be, oil, home starts, employment, the stock market, 401k's, all retirement plans and the like, GDP and GDP growth and so forth will be if we do this plan, and what will happen if we don't using the same criteria. Obama's all ABOUT "transparency," right? (well, maybe he isn't, but STILL)

After all, our government HAS to know what the impacts will be... right? Otherwise, they're doing this just to do it, and THAT can't be true... can it?

2. When this passes... and if Obama and the democrat leadership (Obama, Biden, Clinton, Reid, Murtha, Pelosi, Emanuel, et al) are wrong, then they all resign from office.

That is, if they make these promises, and if, at 6 months, 12 months, 18 months and so forth, they have failed to deliver... then they resign. Immediately.

What's not to love? Right now, these clowns have zero buy-in. They want all of US to assume ALL of the risk, while they share all of the glory if it works.

You want me to sign off on this?

Then put your asses on the line for it, just like you're putting OUR asses on the line for it.

Otherwise, they risk NOTHING, and WE risk EVERYTHING. As it is, they're risking our country. The least THEY can do is risk their jobs, like they're risking ours.

Simple enough plan, don't you think? Win - win and all that?
