Pre-empting the Columbian's leftist hash endorsements: no need to wait, here they are:

Here's the checklist funnel the rag uses in endorsements on candidates.

1.  Is the race competitive?

2.  Is there a leftist running?  (Note, I didn't say "democrat.")

3.  Endorse the leftist.

As a result, in elections, they'll likely endorse Obama, RINO Rob McKenna, Herrera, Bus'n Boldt, Tanner, Probst, and Stonier... though, since Olson is a leftist supporting the CRC, she may get the nod as their token Republican.

But remember, kids, the issues isn't party any longer: it's "who's the leftist?"

In the 08 election, in every open seat from the president to the local elections here, the democratian endorsed democrats and ONLY democrats from Obama on down.

The idiocy of Brancaccio was running the show then and it's still running it now, since Scott Campbell appears to be a glutton for punishment.

The same mind set will be used for initiatives.  It started today with the typical fringe-left pap about homosexual marriage... a cutesy, Seattle-centric cocktail circuit idea being rammed down our throats with millions of dollars of gay supporters and enablers.

They lie at the drop of a condom:
Some will argue that gays and lesbians already have all necessary legal rights, so why do we have to allow them to get married? That argument defeats itself. The more logical question: Since gays and lesbians already have all necessary legal rights anyway, why NOT allow them to get married? Try as they might, the foes of R-74 cannot provide a compelling answer.
Exclusive of the fact that this rag lies every day in support of it's agenda, the fact is that their ARE "compelling answers," just none that their bias will acknowledge.

And their reliance on polling?  That's a REAL joke:
When The Columbian first endorsed legalized gay marriage more than eight years ago, we acknowledged that many polls showed as much as two-thirds of Americans opposed to such a dramatic shift in custom.Times change, but our opinion hasn't. Washington's Legislature legalized same-sex marriage earlier this year, and a recent poll showed 56 percent support statewide, with only 38 percent opposition. And our support of Referendum 74 -- which would uphold that legislation -- is rock solid.
The numbers may or may not be a joke.  Past initiatives that passed overwhelmingly, both locally and statewide, never stopped these clowns from opposing them (I-695 and I-200 just to name a couple) Citing polling as a reason to support this train wreck, though, is a hoot, given their fear of the polls when it comes to a county charter that could undo their agenda and their fear of a vote on the bridge/loot rail/toll scam one has to wonder:

When are these hypocrites going to demand a county wide vote on the CRC?

What's that?  Never?

Why not?

Because they known damned well that such a vote would fail.  And if polling is a reason to support this abortion as this moron would want us to believe, then polling would be a reason to OPPOSE the CRC... which they would never do.

The rag loves to moralize to us.  They don't stop to think that since they've failed to run their own lives, they're hardly in a position to tell us how to run ours.

So, they support gay marriage.  They'll no doubt support legalizing what seems to be their rampant drug use, if the product of their keyboards is any indication, with their demand that we all smoke pot on our ballots with this bogus effort that legalizes nothing given that pot use is still illegal by federal law.

They'll like and show enlightened self-interest, supporting the Eyman 2/3rd's vote initiative; after all, as long as it saves THEM money (And SCREW us) then they support it... like they supported their special B&O tax cut while most everyone else's was being jacked a while back.

They'll also support charter schools, and point to it as yet another token "proof" that they're not a fringe-left propaganda swindle sheet.

Because folks... that's how they roll.

I'll come back after they're done trashing the GOP candidates running and see how I did.  But chances are you can just cut to the chase and go with this meager effort.
