When the local Paulbots lie; life as a Ron Paul PCO target.

There is an ongoing, organized effort by the local Paulbots to take over the Clark County GOP through the upcoming PCO elections.

This effort is led by people who swear up and down that Paulistinians have nothing to do with it.  We're told:
(1) This 'Conservative movement' is a veiled take over by the Ron Paul group.
In fact this conservative movement is comprised of Republicans that came from all the presidential supporters (from the April time frame) - now including Romney supporters. The Ron Paul supporters that were reluctant to generally support Republicans—including the eventual presidential nominee have significantly chosen not to participate in our various activities. The remaining team is significantly pragmatic and working well together.

(2) This 'Conservative movement' is a group of strident ideologues that cannot work with others—including the state and federal-level Republican party.
This should be dispelled when one reads the remainder of this message.
Our principles: We were brought together by the events of our Clark county convention and have built our strength, coordination, and resolve in the last few months. Our binding principles are:

• We support a small Federal government – and local control whenever possible

o And will support party candidates, platforms, and policy that are in reasonable alignment with this statement

• We seek a local Republican Party that provides an open forum for citizen's voices

o And recognizes and properly manage political agendas that mainly benefit politicians and cronies

• We are conservative

o However with no litmus test
This list is either lies... or outright delusion.

I can say that because I have the honor of being a target of these clowns.

Let's review the bidding, shall we?

I have made no secret of my contempt for Ron Paul and his kool aid drinking cult followers frequently and often.

So, let's look at the list and see if I merit their loving attention.

As an anti-establishment conservative, I've got to wonder: if this is about being "conservative," then why am I targeted?  They tell us:
We support a small Federal government – and local control whenever possible
As someone who DEMANDS a smaller Federal government, then why am I targeted, particularly after the follow on statement:
And will support party candidates, platforms, and policy that are in reasonable alignment with this statement
I'm in absolute agreement with that statement.  So, why am I targeted?
We seek a local Republican Party that provides an open forum for citizen's voices.
But only if they like what you have to say, apparently.  Even so, I agree with providing a forum... IF THE CITIZEN IS A REPUBLICAN.

Paulbots arguably are not.  So, why am I being targeted?  And is this where I point out that Paulbots have twice tried to change the rules to silence the Party about their preferences on who should be a PCO, attempting to end their ability to endorse?

How open can a forum be when the protagonists are doing all they can to silence those they oppose?
We are conservative - with no litmus test.
Bull.  This whole thing is a "litmus test" and if you're not a kool-aid drinking Paulistinian, then guess what?

You fail the "litmus test" that they don't have.  And the vast majority, 104 out of the 158 listed on their website are, you guessed it, county Ron Paul delegates.

Pure coincidence, I'm sure.

And this is one of the biggest problems I have with that whole group:

If you have to lie to win?

Then you shouldn't win.

So, someone nailed them over this garbage.  And the "someone" wasn't even someone I know.

They wrote one of the leaders of this attempted coup, Mark Engleman and, among other things, told him this:
Tied to my concern stated above is your endorsement process for these races - how did you come to your decisions, because frankly, as a long-time conservative and Republican I question your decisions. There are multiple elected Republicans and long-time conservatives that you are either actively opposing or are not willing to support:

You ARE ACTIVELY OPPOSING Clark County Auditor Greg Kimsey,

You ARE ACTIVELY OPPOSING Representative Paul Harris,

You ARE ACTIVELY OPPOSING current County Chairwoman Stephanie McClintock,

You ARE ACTIVELY OPPOSING long-time activist Mary Graham,

You ARE ACTIVELY OPPOSING former County Chairman and current State Committeeman Ryan Hart,

You ARE ACTIVELY OPPOSING both current PCO Kelly Hinton and County Commissioner Marc Boldt,

You ARE ACTIVELY OPPOSING long-time activist and 2012 Platform Committee chairman Jonathan Sauerwein,

You ARE ACTIVELY OPPOSING Republican candidate and staunch conservative Carolyn Crain,

You ARE ACTIVELY OPPOSING former County Chairman Mike Gaston,

You ARE ACTIVELY OPPOSING former Clark County Commissioner Vern Veysey,

You ARE ACTIVELY OPPOSING long-time activist and the 2011 Ridgefield Citizen of the Year David Standal,

You ARE ACTIVELY OPPOSING former Clark County GOP Chair and current Washougal City Councilman Brent Boger,

You ARE ACTIVELY OPPOSING long-time activist and leader of the Clark County Republican Roundtable Tom Higdon,

You ARE ACTIVELY OPPOSING Peter Gilmour a GOP office volunteer and board member who has put up more than 400 signs for candidates this year and authored the GOP Candidate Manual.

You REFUSE TO SUPPORT Republican candidate Julie Olson even though she's unopposed,

You REFUSE TO SUPPORT current Clark County Assessor Peter VanNortwick even though he's unopposed,

You REFUSE TO SUPPORT current Clark County Sheriff Garry Lucas even though he's unopposed,

You REFUSE TO SUPPORT current Battle Ground City Council member Adrian Cortes even though he's unopposed,

You REFUSE TO SUPPORT current Clark County Clerk Scott Weber even though he's unopposed,

You REFUSE TO SUPORT Clark County Republican Party Volunteer of the Year Tanna Chattin even though she's unopposed,

You REFUSE TO SUPPORT former County Chairman Margie Ferris even though she’s unopposed, and

You REFUSE TO SUPPORT current Camas Mayor Scott Higgins even though he's unopposed.

Clearly your efforts are about control, not building the party. A key job of a PCO is to represent your precinct and help elect Republican candidates. How can we believe that you will support Republican candidates in November when you won't even support our GOP elected officials and candidates in their own PCO races? How does this help the conservative cause? How does this help the party? Not only are your endorsements obviously poorly thought out, but they are a slap in the face to those of us who have volunteered over the years to get these and others elected.
I repeat: this has NOTHING to do with "conservatives."  Because if that was it, easily half those names... and my own... wouldn't be on that list.

So, there you have it.  The truth is that this is all about Paul... and those Paulbots who say otherwise are, well, lying.

And you've got to ask yourself... why?

It's because of the obvious hidden agenda... because they know what would happen if the Paulbot truth came out.

The first lie is that Paulbots are conservative. They have redefined conservative to fit their fringe Libertarianism.

Should they succeed, the Clark County GOP is dead, ineffective and more useless than it already is.

They were warned years ago, but Anna Miller appointed several Paulbots to PCO slots in late 2007 before she opened her eyes of why they had so many requests for PCO positions to be filled.

Paulbots don't realize that no one outside of their cult follows them and their fringe lunacy. They actually feel everyday Republicans are blind idiots who will just do as they say, should they take the party over.

And, obviously, they haven't a clue how to win an election, other than following the examples seen in the early 1930's in Germany.

Some even believe if they can steal enough delegates to win their moronic leader the slot in Tampa, that those delegates are also electoral college electors and the popular vote will be ignored.

Obama couldn't ask for a better group supporting his reelection.

Kelly, I can hear individuals saying in my mind why they don't support whomever. Individual non-support is indicative of our collective organization's distrust and non-allegiance to politicians... Even Ron Paul's son. We adhere to principles of proper government and are unswayed by personalities when they violate principles. This is a new-age political process that endangers those who defend politicians who vote against our rights and freedoms. We are populist in nature and allegiance to personalities in politics we will never have. Many will continue to join with the idea of non-allegiance since distrust in government will have only exponential growth in the voting population.

But few distrust government and have fought it at so many levels than I.

But because I don't support Paul, and because Paul is poison, all of this is being done dishonestly... under the guise of a faux conservatism, allegedly without litmus tests such as the one that I somehow, apparently, managed to fail.

As I pointed out, we have a system that allows for this sort of thing, and I support that system even when I may oppose it's outcomes.... as long as truth is thrown in the mix somewhere.

Lie to win, and you run headlong into my rhetorical fist. And that's what's happening here.

To the followers of Paul, welcome to the game... as long as you're honest. And this reeks of underhanded lies and backstabbing, a not even lightly covered effort to take over with a bunch of totally people who have, in their eyes, the only necessary saving grace: the support Ron Paul or they enable Ron Paul supporters.

And that's where I draw the line.

And in the end, that worst that can happen is that I lose. And my family would be thrilled if I did, considering all the time, effort, energy and money I've expended to support, campaign for and fight for true conservatism.

You say that you're "unswayed by personalities," yet that, combined with my rabid opposition to the Paulistinian ethos is the entirety of the reasons I've been targeted.

So be it.

We'll just have to see.

Kelly, you have accomplished something very American. You have convinced a cadre of filers in your precinct that the political process is not to be ignored. That should be all precincts. For most normal folks, politics is kept simply to personalities. Thanks for the blog. I read it often.

Well, here's the irony, C:

Every single one of them was redistricted into the 6-20.

So my guess is they were "convinced" long before they became eligible for this precinct.

My wife and I know the mentioned list includes some of the more disgusting people we have come across.

It's really disgusting that politics overshadows some woman stalking and continually harassing a young boy in order to get us to move.

While the sheriff's office has some good people on it's staff; the sherif's office is run by garbage in our opinion.

Congresswoman Herrara should be ashamed to have some of the people mentioned on her staff or in some way affiliated with her in Vancouver.
