Why did the left seemed so surprised by Biden's horrific performance last night? What did they THINK would happen?

Last night’s crushing defeat seems to have forced the leftists to acknowledge what the GOP has claimed for years.

For several of those years, Republicans have warned the American people that, in effect, Biden was a brain-damaged dementia patient.

And for years, the left ignored their OWN EYES and denied it.

Every screw up. Every tuned out episode. Every time this guy babbled.

Democrats denied it.

I claimed from the start that if Biden was too brain damaged to face charges for his theft of documents then by definition, he was far too damaged to be president. And what did the left have to say?

They STILL insisted on their double standard of justice.

Most recently, their claim the video of him wandering around at the G7 was a “cheap fake,” and that those videos had been altered somehow.

They weren’t.

The damage this man has caused will take decades to repair.

Is there any doubt that Biden wasn’t/isn’t calling the shots?

So, who gets the blame for this?

1. The White House.

The staff surrounding Biden gaslit us like you wouldn’t believe. They lied repeatedly about his faux pas and obvious signs of dementia. They propped him up because they knew Roundheels would be a disaster if she replaced him.

But they SHOULD have known that when they allowed her to get the VP slot in the first place.

2. The Media.

Leftist hatred is the main plank of the MSM for the past decade.

They were frequently lying to cover Biden and constantly attacked those who questioned his fitness.

THIS MAN’S FINGER IS ON THE NUCLEAR TRIGGER AND HE DOESN’T EVEN KNOW WHAT PLANET HE’S ON.

Last night’s debacle was an indictment of every network, every fringe-left swindle sheet from the local Democratian to the New York Times.

They knew. AND THEY REFUSED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE TRUTH.

Even now, some leftist talking heads are doing all they can to effort excuses, reasons, blame… BECAUSE THEY STILL REFUSE TO TELL THE TRUTH.

3. Senate/Congressional democrats.

EVERY democrat in the Senate or in the House knew.

And instead of putting their country first?

They chose to consistently lie to the American people.

They failed in their duty. They failed US.  ALL OF US.

So now, they’re almost claustrophobic in their panic. But they brought this on themselves.

Even though it likely wouldn’t have helped given their pathetic alternatives.

But as miserable as their options are, they had the opportunity to at least be honorable about it. They would have, as a party, made much more mileage out of an effort to do the right thing than, instead, be ruled by their delusions; their lies, their multiple failures in their duty to the United States.

So what of our enemies? The Chinese called it “entertaining.” I call it a golden opportunity to attack us because if they’re not going to do it now under Biden’s control?

They’ll never do it.

No, last night was the culmination of leftist lies, leftist thirst for power, leftist indecency. They brought it on to themselves for refusing to accept reality.

And they deserve what they’re going to get as a result.

Democrats in Olympia are paralyzed with fear: apparently they see the future... and it's 1994.

.
I may have misspoken when I brought out the comparison between 1994 and the upcoming wholesale political slaughter that will be taking place in 2010.

Clearly, the inaction from Olympia is a result of the political paralysis currently suffered as a result of the institutional memory of the Massacre of 1994.

For those who don't know, here, locally, the makeup of the Clark County delegation switched from 8 democrats and 1 Republican to 6 Republicans and 3 democrats.

In one election.

Republicans took control not unlike democrats have it now... but the switch wasn't gradual... it was catastrophic for the democrats with Republicans taking roughly 63 seats in the House and around 28 seats in the Senate.

There are clearly enough democrats still around in the House and Senate from those days that they haven't completely forgotten what that was like... and their inaction goes to the appearance that the institutional knowledge of the caucus shows terror on the part of the left as they struggle with an $8.3 billion deficit brought about by their fiscal mismanagement.

Well, imagine my surprise when a member of the MSM, Joe Turner of the Tacoma News Tribune just FLAYED the democrats for their inaction... and their idea of using the MSM as extensions of the caucuses to help the left ram though massive tax increases; sheer idiocy any time but off the chart stupidity when executed during a massive recession.

I have mentioned in the past that the MSM has been totally in the tank for the left. Many of them make no bones about it. But Turner's blown his cork on this, and it's a thing of beauty.

Almost every week, House Speaker Frank Chopp, D-Seattle, and Senate Majority Leader Lisa Brown, D-Spokane, meet with statehouse reporters for about 45 minutes on Thursdays. Chopp at 2 p.m.; Brown, in a separate meeting, at 3:30 p.m.

This week, Chopp was mildly complaining that we in the Press Corps have not given House Democrats enough credit for what they've accomplished so far this session. And I respectfully disagreed. We have given them way too much credit. In fact, in hindsight, I can't believe how much "ink" they got for doing so little on the budget front. They passed a couple bills that cut state spending by about $300 million and spend about $330 million of federal money (instead of state money) from the economic stimulus money they're getting from Congress.

That doesn't address even 1/10th of the $8 billion budget deficit they are facing. And Monday will be Day 50, almost halfway through the scheduled 105-day session. (Yes, it may run longer, Chopp's protestations notwithstanding.)

More noteworthy, the Democratic majorities in both the House and Senate told state agencies, basically, to ignore the cuts that Gov. Chris Gregoire proposed in her budget in mid-December and keep on spending money in many areas.

By my count they've done 3 substantive things that address our deepening recession, so far:

Giving the leftist MSM a pass -- again: Flashback from 2005 - Giving Bush a pass -- again.

.
I did recall the whining and sniveling from the left about the costs incurred with the Bush inauguration... costs now hugely dwarfed by the coronation of The One.

Yet, when it comes to THOSE costs... why, the leftist MSM seems.... well.... utterly silent... or is it, "utterly hypocritical?"

Some media pegs the cost of this soirée at around $160 million or so. For a party.

That type of rampant cost would have resulted in complete hysteria on the part of, say, the women of "The View," or any of the media outlets that were so totally in the tank for The Messiah, if the beneficiary had been a Republican.

My God, we never would have heard the end of it.

Now, it would seem, if we were to hear anything about it at all, we have to rely on the British Press to keep us informed.

Why am I not surprised?

So, here it is.... a delightful flashback to the 2005 reeking hypocrisy that is the left. Enjoy!

Giving Bush a pass -- again
The D.C. press corps failed to ask hard questions about the inauguration's huge cost and its unprecedented security.

By Eric Boehlert

Jan 20, 2005 In Sunday's New York Times, John Tierney examined the delicate balancing act administrations face when throwing a lavish inauguration celebration against the backdrop of unsettling world events. Tierney wrote that inaugurations "become even trickier during times of war, particularly when television images of dancers in black tie can be instantly juxtaposed with soldiers in body armor."

Tierney must be confusing the D.C. press corps as it might be expected to function -- posing uncomfortable questions to those in power -- with the press corps that exists in Washington today. Because the notion that the television networks or 24-hour news channels would spend their inauguration coverage contrasting the scenes of wealthy corporate donors toasting the president while young soldiers and middle-aged Guardsmen battle in Iraq is wildly naive. During the nearly 24 months of war coverage of Iraq, many American news outlets have remained steadfastly allergic to relaying disturbing images of war, particularly anything that shows Americans being wounded or killed. So the idea that broadcast journalists would use this celebration, of all things, as a time to press President Bush on Iraq simply does not reflect the modus operandi of today's mainstream media.

This week's inauguration story came ready with two interesting news angles: the huge cost (in contrast with the dire situation in Iraq) and the unprecedented security. And in both cases, the political press corps, as has been its habit under the Bush administration, showed little interest in prying. In the days and weeks leading up to the event, the press has largely treated inauguration criticism as partisan and silly, making sure to give Bush backers lots of time and room to defend the unmatched pomp and circumstance.

Yet according to a mostly underreported Washington Post poll this week, a strong majority of Americans -- 66 percent, including 46 percent of Republicans -- would have preferred a "smaller, more subdued" inauguration, given the ongoing war in Iraq. In other words, Bush's overblown celebration ranks as one of the few political issues that most Americans agree on -- a phenomenon the press ignored.

Yet another democrat heard from: Baltimore mayor indicted for theft, perjury, misconduct, fraudulent misappropriation....

.
Earlier, Lew Waters at Clark County Conservative gave us a heads up: is 2009 the year for democrat scandals?

We know about Blago, Richardson, Jefferson, former West Palm Beach Congressman Tim Mahoney (Philandering moral congressman from Florida; Mark Foley's replacement... and how fast did THAT fall off the radar screen?) Kilpatrick (Detroit mayor) et al. But now, we can add the distinguished mayor of Baltimore (Democrat Sheila Dixon) to the "common crook" list.

The list of outrages is contained in the article. The point is the utter silence of the MSM outside of Balitimore... the rank hypocrisy of the left... the fact that democrats are no better based on their party affiliation then anyone else... and arguably, may be worse.

I've been concerned about the MSM diving in the tank for the left generally, and Mr. Obama particularly. If I hadn't checked out Drudge, I would never have known about yet another politician falling because of their own greed and avarice. And that frightens me.

Not this particular instance, but the symptomatology of the whole and the double-standard of condemnation that is so muted for leftist perpetrators and so wildly blasted out to the universe when someone on the right has committed a crime. Thus, letting the democrats in charge of our economy off the hook for the damage they allowed, while blaming Bush for everything... instead of holding everyone accountable, regardless of party, apparently an impossible concept to grasp.

My concern is that The One will get a pass, no matter WHAT he does. We will NOT, for example, successfully spend ourselves out of this financial mess. Oddly, few point out that what Mr. Obama called "the most irresponsible President in history's" deficit will pale in comparison to that which The One is endeavoring to heap on the next 10 or 15 generations that will have to pay for his bizarre plan.

No, for Mr. Obama, the staggeringly huge deficits that HE advocates are "different, " somehow.

But then, for the left... it's ALWAYS "different." And that is, I believe, part of why we're where we are today.

Counts of perjury, theft, misconduct in office among 12-count indictment

4:17 PM EST, January 9, 2009

Baltimore Mayor Sheila A. Dixon was charged today by the state prosecutor in a 12-count indictment, becoming the city's first sitting mayor indicted on criminal offenses.

Dixon was charged with four counts of perjury and two counts of theft over $500, as well as theft under $500, fraudulent misappropriation by a fiduciary and misconduct in office. The charges stem in part from gifts she received from former boyfriend and developer Ronald H. Lipscomb, who was also charged earlier this week.

Dixon, a Democrat, has been the target of a nearly three-year probe by State Prosecutor Robert A. Rohrbaugh into corruption at City Hall, an investigation that has centered on allegations that Dixon has used her office to award lucrative contracts to various people including her sister, her then-boyfriend and her former campaign chairman.

In a statement released by her office this afternoon, Dixon said: "I am being unfairly accused. Time will prove that I have done nothing wrong, and I am confident that I will be found innocent of these charges. ... I want to make it clear, though, that I will continue to put all of my energies into running the City of Baltimore during these perilous economic times."
