I want to know.
The Marines perform a function that is supposed to be much more than ceremonial.
So, when our Ambassador to Libya was getting killed, where the hell were the Marines?
When our Embassy in Egypt was getting trashed, where the hell were the Marines?
Did they all take 9/11 off?
Did someone ORDER them not to defend our property?
Were they ORDERED not to shoot?
We need to know what happened... and a big part of that is this:
Where the hell were the Marines?
Because if they are not allowed to fire their weapons and call in support (that obviously would have been available) then what the hell are they doing there?

If the news report I was reading was accurate, the marines (including the Libyan soldiers helping them) were in an intense, multi-hour firefight with the attackers.
