How about that Romney guy, eh? Now ahead in the swing-state poll and he's telling the truth about Obama supporters and Palestinians.

When the wheels come off for Obama... they come off hard:
In the 11 swing states, Mitt Romney earns 47% of the vote and the president is supported by 46%. Three percent (3%) are not sure, and four percent (4%) are undecided.
Any doubt this shift has to do with the Moron-in-Chief's administration's mishandling and lies of the embassy/consulate debacle?

I honestly never thought he had it in him.

The MSM is beating the hell out of Romney for articulating what everybody knows, but none would admit: that segment of the entitlement society, those dependent on that segment and white liberals with guilt (and this is all MY characterization, not Romney's) are all going to vote for Obama because he's a half-black socialist who passes out the goodies.

Romney has finally spoken to it.  And when the left flips out over it, all they do is strengthen Romney's case.

And this also makes the case that the left hates the teruth when that truth doesn't fit in with their perception.

For far too long, the harsh reality of our sinking ship of state has been kept away from the people of this nation.  And now Romney has begun to speak to it.  The question?

Is it too late?

Romney's position on these issues is something to be proud of in the sense that he spoke it, and something to be ashamed of that he had to... and that he's accurate.

WASHINGTON — During a private reception with wealthy donors this year, Mitt Romney described almost half of Americans as “people who pay no income tax” and are “dependent upon government.” Those voters, he said, would probably support  President Obama because they believe they are “victims” who are “entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you name it.”

Let's keep the apple with the apples:

Romney has no chance.

However, as to the rest of your post: When I see "47% are dependent," I'm thinking, Romney wants to blow off half the population?!

Democracy's a bitch because you actually have to give a shit about what your neighbors think. If you're the one holed up in your house with an assault weapon then you might want to start thinking about moving - not stopping your neighbors from voting.

Let's make applesauce: Rasmussen was the most accurate poll in the 2008 election.

I'll stick with them... and those numbers show he's got a pretty good shot at it, particularly as long as Obama insists on screwing up the wet dream that is his policies... both foreign... and domestic. (It'll be a great appearance on Letterman tonight, one of the real, actual starters of the "War on women" when he was using his female staff as a harem.

Tell me again why he didn't have time to meet with Netanyahu, since they were both in New York?)

Perhaps you might could think about the half of the population that Obama's been blowing off since he took office.

We vote as well, you know... though I am not voting for either of these guys. And I appreciate what my neighbors think: that's why I'm pounding on my brother-in-law like a drum: he doesn't.

But that "giving a shit" thing has top go BOTH ways, for BOTH sides... and frankly, I can't see where the left gives a shit about either me, or my views... as long as I've got money and lack a regiment of lawyers and accountants required to keep it.

Further, I fail to see where I have taken the position that anyone legally eligible to vote can not or should not do so.

I spent a whole lot of years in uniform so that all would have the privlege... including those firmly clamped to the government tit sucking what little money I make out of my wallet.

The fact is that he told the truth. It's an unpleasant truth, but it's the truth... and the left freaked when they heard it.

I personally don't care that he presented it "in-artfully." Presenting a truth always beats presenting a lie, and a lie is how Obama's campaign can best be described.

It's the 49th in a microcosm. It's why the GOP is unlikely to win in any mostly urban setting... or to ever win the minority vote.

Blacks vote for purely racial reasons. Whites are forbidden from doing so. One is perfectly OK, the other base racism. Odd, that.

Those on the center to far right vote their checkbooks. Those on the center to far left do as well, counting on Obama to steal our money so he can remain in office.

Curious though, Martin. Your observation that I have to give a shit what my neighbors think doesn't seem to apply to them giving a shit what *I* think.

Or am I just misunderstanding?

The "our money goes to them" argument is totally specious. As I've stated many times in the past, that's an ignorant platitude by people who don't understand economics or are pretending not to for self-serving reasons.

As for voting (even illegal immigrants): over time revolutions are always just a firebomb away. Democracy goes a LONG WAY towards relieving the pressure. It's pragmatic to let everyone vote, (especially everyone who can carry a gun).

The "neighbors" argument wasn't aimed at you specifically - it can be applied generally to folks who somehow forget that there's over 300,000,000 people in this country. Maybe "compromise" IS a dirty word but at least we should be able to all agree on what the choices are?
