Political brutality also happens at the local level: local elected official coming under scrutiny for personal misconduct.

I have received some substantial information concerning a local political person's personal misconduct that is pinging around the local 'net at warped speed.

I'm not at liberty to divulge who that person is or the source of the information, but it appears damning.  And it is brutal, family damaging stuff.

I'm watching this unfold and pondering why those in or out of politics can engage in this sort of thing while they believe either that they won't "get caught" or that there isn't an internet trail that will follow them around permanently.

To those of you actually in the world of elective politics, I would urge you to conduct yourselves as if anything and everything you do is going to be on the front page of the Reflector.  (I'd have picked the Columbian, but if you're a friend of Lefty Lou, they won't print it.)

I would also urge you to consider that political respect for those who depend on it can be a fragile thing, and repugnant behavior and messages can be what we used to call in the Army "QKC's", or Quick Career Killers.

Just ask soon-to-be former mayor of Seattle, Clueless Eddie Murray.

None of us are saints.  But even in an era where for far too many, morality is an arcane construct to be ignored, there are lines that those in the political realm cannot cross.

If you are married, act like it.

If you're an adult, act like it.

Remember: there is more to your job than a title.

Congressman Dave Reichert likely killed his shot at FBI Director

We have several problems in this country... and one of the biggest is illegal aliens.

Since the former President essentially viewed the Constitution as his own peculiar brand of toilet paper, he made up this thing that essentially legalized hundreds of thousands of illegals called "Dreamers."

Our own RINO-controlled state senate went along with that insanity, and now, illegal aliens get in-state tuition and are eligible for student aid, thereby causing CITIZENS of this country as well as those non-citizens here legally as residents to have even less of a chance to make it into our state universities and colleges... while dramatically increasing the pool of those eligible for state aid to attend those institutions... while correspondingly reducing the amount available, per person, as a result... as well as reducing the number of slots available for those here legally.

Meanwhile, we even have illegal alien lawyers who, instead of being allowed to be "officers of the courts," SHOULD be identified and deported.

Well, RINOs being RINOs, which is another euphemism for "leftist tools", Congressman Reichert, Congressman Newhouse (of all people... guess his district counts on that cheap, illegal alien "migrant labor") joined with total fringe-left nutjob and Jim McDermott replacement Pramila Jayapal, best known for humiliating herself and this state by trying, in Congress, to keep the Electoral College from finalizing the results of the election... (Watch this Joe Biden beat down...)

...all co-sponsored a DOA bill to "extend" the insanity of Obama's moronic ploy to legalize these people as a way to increase unemployment while also increasing the numbers of illegal doing the best to come here, well, illegally.

For Mr. Newhouse's part, he may have handed his position to Clint Didier in the next election, since you can bet your last shekel that Clint, who is certainly an interesting fellow, will use this stupidity to beat Newhouse to political death with it.

For Sheriff Reichert, who otherwise may be very-well qualified given his background as a large county sheriff, his support of this stupidity is probably the end of any even minima chance he may have had.

After all, who would want an FBI director who likely also supports this sanctuary city nonsense and who would not do, essentially, what the Attorney General told him to do when it comes to addressing the insanity of rolling back Obama's violation of our clearly stated laws?

Nice try, Dave.  But your bill is dead on arrival (and we both know it) and your last, desperate gesture of futility and stupidity (yes, that's an Animal House reference) might make you feel better... but it pretty much doomed any chance you had of taking over the FBI.

Just sayin'.

So, McCauley is gone. Where's the mob? Why was it a bad idea for Madore to fire this guy, but not Boldt? And who gets the gig?

Hopefully, they do what they should: a nationwide search for McCauley's replacement, but it wouldn't surprise me if they went with Steve "I only speak for Steve, screw what you think" Stuart got the gig.

That's the variety of leftist political incest that goes on around here.

Unfortunately, the guy running the show now is a fringe-left nimrod who hates anyone to the right of Mao, named Bob Stevens.

Stevens is one of the hacks that hung out and bitched like cut cats in the C3G2 hate group.  In reality, when it came to firing, Stevens should have been on the same list as McCauley.

Leftists are whining... but it's strangely muted.  No demands that the council be fired or recalled. None of the verbal brutality that was so cavalierly spewed at Madore and Mielke is showing at all, in fact.

Meanwhile, where's the anger?  Where's the outrage?  Where are the fringe-left jihadi articles Lyin' Lefty Lou did by the dozens when David Madore was a commissioner/councilor?

Why, nowhere.

Which leads to the question: why not?

If these people were losing their fricking minds over the POSSIBILITY of MADORE axing McCauley... why aren't they exhibiting the same level of anger over BOLDT ACTUALLY firing him?

Clearly, leftist hatred at Trump was just a shifting of the targets.  Leftist hatred as a political tool is frequently comical (especially when RINOs engage in it) but the biggest problem they have is their rank, reeking, hypocrisy.

At the federal level, the Comey firing has brought out the "complete" schematic of how it works.

If you're a political target, NOTHING you can do is OK, save for shooting yourself.

And that's at all levels.

The leftist hatred of Madore is no different than the leftist hatred of Trump.

Same thing for the same reasons.

A few months back, the left wanted Comey's head on a spit over an open fire.

If OBAMA had fired Comey, they'd have been dancing in the streets.

But let TRUMP do it?

And, well, we see the results.

Even though the outcome is exactly the same.

Just like here... except the leftists are running the council... so all we get are a few grumbles... and a yawn.

The firing should have taken place on Madore's watch.  He was in a no-win situation no matter what he did... and it's always better to go down with guns blazing.

Now, the likelihood of the Clown Posse running the council hiring either a "buddy" or an incompetent is very probable.

We are likely not going to find out the real reasons McCauley got axed... at least for quite some time.

But you do have to wonder: what was happening now... that wasn't happening a year ago?

McCauley facing the axe? Who knew?

So, the buzz is that our county manager, Mark McCauley, is soon to join the ranks of the unemployed.

And deservedly so.

There's a great deal of whaling and gnashing of teeth over it to be sure, but NOTHING like it was when rumors of his employment demise were running rife while David Madore and Tome Mielke were on the council.

Why is that?

Does anyone believe for a moment that, apparently, while we're facing a James Comey moment of our own that the RINOs who fire him will be savaged like Madore was at even the hint of a rumor of his McCauley's termination?

Of course not.

Because, you see, even though the outcomes will be EXACTLY the same, it's much like the leftist/RINO hatred of President Trump: these people are not nearly as concerned about what is being done as they are who is doing it.

The paper will not be bludgeoning this council for getting rid of the Clark County Godfather of the downtown mafia.  Had Madore done what I believe he SHOULD have done: fire McCauley at the first available instant, the rag would have whipped up their fringe left and RINO buddies into the same kind of screaming democrat insanity they manipulated those clowns into over the Benton hiring.

Just as a brief aside, it kinda looks like Benton landed on his feet.... don't it?

There can be only so many reasons why he's facing the employment guillotine:  The 4 Stooges got tired of Mark thinking he ran the county; customer service sucked under his management and they were sick of hearing about it; the usually tin-eared council members fear that his continued employment might become a political issue in their upcoming elections (next year, isn't it?) or something else equally juicy and possibly politically damaging.

But notice the muted response by either the rag or the local loony left. There won't be any of the usual hatred and bigotry spewed the way it was at former Commissioner David Madore or former Commissioner Tom Mielke.  No pitch forks.  No torches.  No packed meeting of leftist chimps jumping up and down like someone stole their last banana.  No name calling.  No protest signs... no... none of that.

This is different, you see.

Not for what's being done: that's absolutely the same.

But instead, by who is doing it.

Kinda like the whining and sniveling fringe left/RINO contingent SOOOO upset over Comey's firing a few days ago... when a few months ago, they wanted Comey's head on a pike on the White House lawn.

Amazing how "flexible" those lacking any kind of political compass can be, ain't it?

The Gellatly Challenge (Part Deux)

A couple of days ago, our local county GOP chair seemed to lose his mind over my temerity in, once again, expressing my opposition to bringing Hooters Girl Tomi Cleavage to town to share her 24 year old know-nothing pearls of political wisdom with the assemblage.

At, depending on the day, $80 odd dollars a head to $120 a head; depending, apparently, on the day, the weather and the phase of the moon... this girl's speech, previewed on the neo-communist daytime show The View... will likely focus on damage control... I meant it but I didn't mean it, you shouldn't take me literally, I've had a bad day... whatever.

I was stunned at the depth of Chair Gellatly's seeming hatred of me.  But that's not altogether unusual for the RINO ilk.

Holding people accountable for their acts is their most favorite thing in the world... unless they are the ones being held accountable... then?

Different subject altogether.

I posted a response on someone else's thread... which had nothing whatsoever to do with Gellatly... but he couldn't help himself and he had to pass judgment on my remark, which was, simply, "reason enough not to go."

Well, no one gets to tell me what, when, where or how to post, PARTICULARLY when the response didn't involve him at all.

After all, no one ever admits to reading my meager effort, which is why it's the least read, most talked about blog around.

Eventually Gellatly used what he believed, apparently, to the silver hand grenade to, in his mind, PROVE that I was a liar and this blog was worthless and that I wasn't a Republican (Which I freely admit, since I don't see conferral of the Republican label as an act of sainthood... unlike some) and to just generally trash me.

The grenade in question?

An almost 7 year old editorial by Lying Lefty Lou Brancaccio, which (falsely) claimed that Ann "Gas Tax" Rivers had "kicked me to the curb."

Or "terminated" me, as Chair Gellatly put it.

Well, that was nonsense.  It made me think that our local GOP chair was a lot like the Platte River in... Nebraska, is it?

A mile wide and an inch deep.

He copied and pasted that damned near everywhere FB would post it in the group SW Washington Opinions.

There was a thread well over 300 posts long.

So, I thought about it a minute... and I thought: here's a way I can get that punk to put up... or shut up:

I challenged David in the following way:
It appears that Mr. Gellatly is dead set on proving me out to be a liar.
For example, he provides a link to Lefty Lou's article that claims "Rivers has kicked me to the curb," written back in July of 2010 as "proof."
He babbles, "I was referencing KJ and his lies. Which this blog post is full of that started this thread as well as most of what he has written recently."
..."David Robert Gellatly Sean Emerson. I agree about the Columbian. But this article pretty clearly lays out what happened between KJ and Rivers, and his termination."
Here's my response:
Kj Hinton David, the reality is that first, you've made the cardinal sin of believing the Columbian, and second, I was working for Rivers until the gas tax thing blew up.
Now, I get that you're all butthurt because you made the mistake of calling me out with your own lies, but the reality is clear: Neither you... nor Lefty Lou... know what the hell you're talking about.

Kj Hinton It might make you comfortable to believe this. But the fact remains: you have disproven absolutely nothing that I've said or written. And referencing an almost 7 year old article where Lefty Lou got played might sooth the ache in your ass, but it changes nothing.

Kj Hinton Tell you what, David: If I can provide proof that I was working for and with Rivers for years after that dumbass article and that you're wrong, here's the deal:
You resign from the GOP, effectively immediately.
If I can't, I'll shut down my blog and never blog again.
How about that?
Put up or shut up, punk.
And what do you think Chair David did?

Did he agree to this little challenge?

Did he acknowledge he had lied or even that he was wrong?

Nope.  Either of those things would have required a man of honor.  Which is why he did neither.

He just moved on to his next RINO delusion.

So, Republicans reading this, it goes back to the best of people and the worst of people.

I leave it in your capable hands to determine which... is which.
