Locally, our fringe-left nutters have gone so far as to change the name of what they USED to call their "Jefferson-Jackson" dinner... a homage, no doubt, to the fact that both were slave owners.
Meanwhile, however, no other political party in this nation's history has the racist, bigoted background of the democrat party.
Members of that party have slaughtered blacks, burned blacks, raped blacks, lynched blacks... and blown up churches.
They have opposed civil rights legislation, voting rights legislation and desegregation.
Who can forget the infamous and prescient words of Lyndon Baines Johnson:

Clearly, what happened here was the left saw yet another example of an opportunity to manipulate the right and knowing how unalterably gutless the GOP happens to be, they picked the Battle Flag to shame everyone who doesn't view life through their lenses.
Isn't it time to ban the democrats, then?

We have gone back decades to determine a symbol... a symbol embraced by democrats a few years back and decades ago... is now, suddenly, racist.
Nothing about this is racist. Nothing about the GOP's lily-livered response is courageous.
It makes me ashamed I ever was in the GOP, let alone someone who held the seat of a state GOP executive director.
And now, the chickens should finish coming home to roost.
Now, the democrats should change their name in shame for all of the pain their party has inflicted and continues to inflict on the black population of this country with their inculcation of victim-hood and their plantation mentality.
But they won't, of course, because to be in the left is to be a hypocrite. But if they were to apply the same standard...
