A suggestion for Arizona's response to the moronic "boycotts."

.
We all know what's gone on in Arizona: The federal government has been failing to enforce laws concerning illegal aliens for years, and the people of Arizona (not to mention the people of this country) are sick of it and have had enough.

Arizona, unfortunately for them, borders the agonizing, unending train wreck that is California. As a result of that moronic bigotry on the part of LA, were I in Arizona's legislature, I would introduce legislation tomorrow morning to end all contracts of any kind with any entity located in California. In short, I would launch a counter-boycott.

Compared to California, Arizona's economy is Heaven on earth. I would embark on a series of policies that would cause business in California to re-locate into Arizona at warp speed. I would use any incentive possible short of government subsidies to get these businesses to close down and move to where sanity reigns: Arizona.

I know that I, personally, will do no business of any kind with any company located in CA. I will not buy their products, vacation, transit or in any way set foot anywhere in the entirety of the state.

Taking it a step further, I would cut off any state funding to any city or municipality WITHIN Arizona moronic enough to challenge this law.

Any city engaging in this nonsensical crap would be put on my "Do Not Patronize" list. Hopefully, I will be joined by 49 other states and millions of others in telling LA to stick it in their ear.

Senator Slime back tracks: "It was all off the record."

.
Yesterday, I called Pridemore out for his bogus set up of a report where "he" indicated "he" had a poll showing him ahead of Heck in the 3rd District Congressional race.

I knew the "poll" was worthless because it failed to take into account our top-two system. Right now, no poll would have him closer than 4th behind Castillo, Heck (the likely top two) and Ridgefield Barbie.

Well, he came a little cleaner today when he told the Columbian that it was all "off the record."

The Columbian reports that Pridemore was "clearly peeved." I would guess so, since he's lying through his teeth.

Caught with his political crank hanging out, Pridemore blabbered: "The poll is not very scientific," Pridemore said. "In my opinion, it's not newsworthy. It's purely thumbnail: Where do we need to focus? At some point we'll do a real poll."

Here's a clue, Craig: Taking a poll of your immediate family and telling the world you were "ahead through out the district," which is such a laughingly obvious lie, is not something you should tell to a reporter.

Pridemore, best known for condemning a state budget moments before he voted for it and gerrymandering the loot rail taxing district to increase it's poor chances of passage in Clark County; was supportive of the ACORN in Chief's rip offs of socialized medicine and TARP funds, has had difficulty gaining traction or raising money due to his fringe-left positions.

For the rest of Pridemore's excuse-fest, read here:

In China, it's time to run background checks and put serial numbers... on knives.

.
I admit it, I carry a firearm. Got a conceal carry permit back in the death threat days when I was working on Legislative staff.

The fringe left, limousine liberal set; whose regulations and laws on concealed carry have led to such stellar outcomes as Columbine and Virginia Tech, are convinced that our problem is the prevalence of guns in our society.

Ahem.

Many here probably haven't noticed what's been happening in China over the past several week... but dozens of school children and a few teachers have been slaughtered by attackers killing them...

With knives.

The most recent attack?

Six children, teacher hacked to death in China school

(Reuters) - Six children and a teacher were hacked to death in an attack on a kindergarten in northwest China Wednesday, the latest in a string of assaults on children that has stoked public alarm about the government's grip on safety.

World China

At least 20 children were also wounded in the attack that happened at about eight in the morning in Nanzheng County, a rural corner of Shaanxi province, the official Xinhua news agency reported.

"The murderer has killed himself," Wu Xiaoyan, an official in Nanzheng, told Xinhua. It gave no other details.

Xinhua had earlier reported the seven dead were all children.

The attack, which follows a series of stabbings at Chinese schools and universities in recent years, is sure to stoke widespread public disquiet after five attacks on school children in the last few weeks.

Chinese President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao issued orders demanding action after the recent incidents, the country's top law-and-order official, Zhou Yongkang, told officials to beef up school security and police have vowed to identify people who could pose a threat to children

More:

So... how will the Chinese address this problem?

Is it realistic to expect them to require permits to buy, carry, possess a knife? Will those carrying these deadly weapons have to take classes on knives? Will convicted felons be prohibited from owning, possessing or using a knife? Will there have to be a 72 hour waiting period? Will criminal back ground checks be required? Will the Chinese close the "Knife Show Loophole?"

People, it is not the weapon. It is the people who use the weapon. And if you were to get rid of every gun in this country, those bent on killing and maiming would find a way.

Just ask the Chinese.

Craig Pridemore: Senator Slime.

.
Look, I admit it. I've got problems with Pridemore.

I've got problems with someone who would condemn a budget as being "balanced on the backs of the poor and the powerless," right before voting "yes" for that same budget.

I've got problems with someone who would pass a bill to gerrymander the CTrans district lines to exclude 10's of thousands of "no" votes on his loot rail tax increase.

I've got problems with someone ethically challenged enough to amend his own campaign finance bill to allow Steve "Easy Money" Stuart to keep 10's of thousands in campaign donations for his commissioner election.

I've got problems wit someone so out of touch that he told the people of the 3rd Congressional District, who voted in favor of I-960 to get stuffed when he voted to get rid of it.

Those things trouble me.

Pridemore has as much trouble raising money as he does being ethical. But this kind of crap is close to the top of the list of reasons why he's unfit for elective office:
Underdog Democrat Pridemore Says Polling Has Him Ahead of Party Rival Heck
But Pridemore, a liberal who supports a carbon fee to fight global warming, a constitutional amendment that says corporations do not have First Amendment rights, a single-payer health care system—and who marched against the Iraq War—says he has polling that shows he’s ahead of Heck.

“We have done one poll,” Pridemore says, “and we’re encouraged by the results. We are definitely ahead in name recognition, in votes, in favorability.”

Asked if we could see the poll, Pridemore was sheepish, saying he was going to get in trouble with his campaign for talking about it. He did say that it was a robopoll.
Now, you've got to be delusional to be a fringe leftist like Pridemore under any circumstances. He has absolutely zero chance of getting elected to Congress from this district: moronic positions on global warming like cap and swindle; pro socialist Obama care... No chance. None.

But to put out this crap?

Desperation. There is no such poll, save for that ruminating around Pridemore's head. The cutesy way he shilled it tells anyone that.

Senator Slime strikes again. Well done, CP.

Is it time for Russell and Vick to withdraw in the 18th?

.
In reviewing the most recent PDC's for fundraising, we see the following numbers of note:

So, what we have here is Rivers having raised about $28,000 or so, Russell (who filed manually) at $4500 or so, and Brandon Vick at $2750 raised (The rest of the money showing is in-kind and loans.)
.
According to the records, Brandon Vick raised $300 in the month of April. Shannon Barnett's endorsement availed him nothing.
.
Russell, abortive Congressional candidate, raised $1524 for the month of April.
.
People, your horse is so dead that the corpse has walked away. Beating it any further... I dunno... just seems like an exercise in futility.
.
For your political futures, the one thing I would think you'd want to avoid is humiliation. But that's what it seems you're facing.
.
You can't win a campaign on $300 months. You can't. And you can't do much better on $1500 months, either.
.
But hey, that's the beauty of our system. So, if'n you're of a mind, knock yourselves out.

Just sayin'
