When the City of Seattle goes 100% moron: ‘Brown bag,’ ‘citizens’ are out at City Hall

Being from and living in Seattle until I left for the military, it's the rare day that goes by that I don't make a small prayer of thanks that I haven't lived in that zoo since 1981... because when it comes to full throttle stupid, these morons take the cake.

Now, uber-fringe left Goebbels substitute Joel Connelly wrote this for the PI, so take it with a grain of salt.  He's a lying slimeball not unlike Lefty Lou or the pit yorkie.  The comments are a hoot as well.
Public affairs officers at Seattle city agencies were advised in a recent memo that use of the phrases “brown bag” and “citizens” are potentially offensive, and that the words must be chosen.
“Luckily, we’ve got options,” Elliott Bronstein of the Office for Civil Rights wrote in a missive entitled “On ‘brown bags, ‘citizens’ and language”.
“For ‘brown bag,’ try ‘lunch-and-learn’ or ‘sack lunch,’” wrote Bronstein. “For ‘citizens,’ how about ‘residents?’ (Our Citizens Service Bureau became the Customer Service Bureau a few years ago.)  Just thought I’d bring this up.  Language matters, and the city has entrusted us with the keyboards.”
What could be the offense of using “brown bag” or “citizens,” especially having witness Mayor Mike McGinn’s special pleasure at the swearing in of new U.S. citizens at the Seattle Center on Independence Day.
“This issue came up in one of the departments and I thought I’d send it around as an fyi for your consideration.  We often use the expression ‘brown bag’ to designate a bring-your-own lunch time event.  We also use the word ‘citizens’ as a synonym for ‘residents.’
“Innocuous phrases, right?  Mm, not so much for. For some people, the phrase ‘brown bag’ calls up ugly associations with use of the expression ‘brown bag’ to determine if people’s skin color was light enough to allow admission to an event, a home, etc.
“‘Citizens’ is a different case:  We sometimes use it as another way of saying ‘members of the public’ — except for all the members of the public who aren’t actually citizens but who live and work here.”
Asked on Wednesday how the issue of ‘”brown bag” and “citizens” came up, Bronstein answered:  “Boy, I don’t remember who raised it.  It has come up now and again in the past.”
“The term ‘brown bag’ doesn’t bother everybody, but . . . there is a history behind use of it,” he added.  “It is something easy to correct because there are alternatives.”

Brian Banks: a study in character.

Every once in awhile, during the Travon Martin race baiting from the "victims" of "racism," I would think about a man who actually had genuine, real, reasons to perceive himself as a victim... and who has refused to do so.

Brian Banks is a long shot to make the Atlanta Falcons.  But that he's there at all is the longest shot of all.

I bring this up in response to that "we are all Travon Martin" idiocy.

If there's someone we all should be... it's Brian Banks... a man among men; someone who, even over half my age, I cannot hope to aspire to in the areas of courage and grace.  (Click the link for the video.)
There's a documentary being produced about his life story. He was featured on CNN, 60 Minutes and many other high-profile shows.

It's hard to get over the Brian Banks story.

In case you don't know, Banks was a standout athlete at Polytechnic High School in Long Beach, Calif., back in 2002. After mulling offers from some of the top programs in the country, the 6'4'', 225-pound linebacker committed to play for Pete Carroll at USC.

Everything was looking up until a classmate falsely accused Banks of rape. He faced a possible 41-year sentence but eventually agreed to a plea deal of five years' prison time, probation and being registered as a sex offender.

In 2012, his accuser admitted to her lie while being secretly recorded. The courts set Banks free, and he was exonerated at the age of 27. Five years of his life had been stolen from him.

Advisory votes on bridge options.

Interesting situations here:
The three bridge options are each being introduced by a different commissioner and, if placed on the ballot, will give voters a chance to give an up or down on each idea.
Commissioner David Madore's bridge proposal seeks voter input on a span in east Clark County at Northeast 192nd Avenue that will connect to Interstate 84 in Oregon.
Commissioner Steve Stuart's bridge proposal asks voters about replacing the Interstate 5 Bridge.
Commissioner Tom Mielke's bridge proposal seeks input on a west county bridge to better connect the region with Highway 26 and Highway 30 in Oregon.
So, here's my take:

As I've stated previously, the only option that Oregon will accept is the unmodified, as written, CRC Scam.  Oregon will likely continue to play the petulant, arrogant jerk card that so attracts fellow petulant, arrogant jerks like the democratian, Stuart, The Liar,  Montague (Who, sources tell me, got spanked yesterday in a way that's really going to hurt) Briggs, Parker and the rest of the downtown mafia who think they run the joint... and oppose any other option except jamming the loot rail spike directly into our tax dollar jugular.

That said: I would reject putting the CRC on the ballot because Stuart wants it there.

Back when it mattered, Stuart and his fellow democrat, Boldt, helped to kill an advisory vote.

Now that it DOESN'T matter (since the project is dead) Stuart's idiocy makes as much sense as re-running the failed M&O Levy from last year.

When it mattered, Stuart (Who's career as a commissioner is likely over in the next even-year general election) is doing anything and everything he can to use the system to campaign: thus his sudden love affair with the freeholder/charter issue that he so roundly condemned JUST TWO YEARS AGO.  He and the rest of the CRC Scammers had their chance.

Hopefully, he won't get a second and this thing will die, putting him on the sidelines... again.... to pout.... again.

As a county, we absolutely DO need additional bridge capacity over the river.

We absolutely DO need a bridge from 192nd in West County, and we absolutely DO need a bridge in West County.

Of the two, the East County plan looks the most likely, because it's the shortest and doesn't require construction of a corridor to support the run up to, or away, from the location.

The West County plan, which I've been advocating for years, looks the most problematic because it requires a corridor through a populated area, and is the longer of the two options... thus the more expensive.

I'm also hearing about a tunnel option.  But the questions for all of these options really boil down to two:  Which has the most bang for the buck; and which will Oregon go along with... something of a two-parter.

The answer to the first appears to be the East County option.

The answer to the second is "none."

What's problematic for the CRC Scammers is this:  That the Scam is the only plan Oregon will accept is precisely zero justification to build it given the multiple, crippling reasons not to build.

In the end, it is hoped that regardless of the outcome, nothing is on the ballot to allow a vote on the I-5 rip off.  They've had their opportunity to seek out and implement our view for the last decade and deliberately choose not to do so under the arrogant, bizarre idea, proven by their policy implemented back in 2005,  that they were going to do all they could to keep our views out of their project.

The downtown mafia has lost.  In the words of the lazy C:
If there is anything this new journey does NOT need, it's a rear-view mirror. To CRC supporters (including The Columbian's editorial board): It's over. Time to move on.
Steve Stuart apparently didn't get the memo.  It's time for him to get it now.

Once again, the GOP tries to get stupid: Ignore the base; grant amnesty.

Not having learned from the last time this idiocy was done on Reagan's watch, otherwise allegedly intelligent people are demanding that the GOP move closer to democrat light, and reward millions of criminals by letting them stay.... paying for it... and somehow hoping that caving on this issue will make ANY positive difference at the ballot box.... which it won't.

Foolishly believing that any amount of pandering to the hispanics will somehow, magically, result in a greater percentage of the illegal alien vote (And, of course, illegals are not SUPPOSED to be voting... right?) the establishment GOP wants to act like rewarding those who disrespect our laws is somehow the right thing to do; all, presumably, because Mitt Romney's abysmal campaign lost to the worst president in the history of this country.

There are, of course, a great many things this country could do to address the illegal alien issue iif we had the will.  Obviously, we don't.  So to these morons, caving to yet another leftist position is the thing to do, all in an abortive effort to get someone into office with an "R" after their name... regardless as to whether or not they care... or even know... what the tenets and platform of the GOP actually is.

Instead of demanding that we face this issue and its concomitant fall out, instead of addressing the main reasons for defeat... we falsely put our hopes into this idiocy.

Top GOP donors tell party to legalize illegal immigrants

Nearly a hundred top Republican donors and Bush administration officials sent a letter to the House GOP on Tuesday urging lawmakers to pass a bill that legalizes illegal immigrants, arguing that the current system is already allowing them to stay and so it makes sense to register them and bring them into the system.
The donors, led by former Bush administration Cabinet officials Carlos Gutierrez and Spencer Abraham, also said that immigrants are potential Republican voters who can be won over — if the party can be seen as welcoming to immigrants.

“Doing nothing is de facto amnesty. We need to take control of whom we let in our country and we need to make sure everybody plays by the same rules,” the donors said in their letter.
They aimed their pitch at House Republicans, who are trying to figure out a way forward and find themselves trapped between angry rank-and-file voters who say legalizing illegal immigrants amounts to amnesty, and party elites and donors who say the GOP cannot survive nationally without embracing legalization as part of a strategy to win over Hispanic voters.
The donor letter came the same day that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and 400 other businesses and umbrella groups fired off a letter to House leaders of both parties, urging them to pass something — though the business leaders did not specifically call for legalizing illegal immigrants.
More:

There is much we could do before we once again engage in this self-inflicted disaster.

As Jefferson put it:
“[Is] rapid population [growth] by as great importations of foreigners as possible… founded in good policy?… They will bring with them the principles of the governments they leave, imbibed in their early youth; or, if able to throw them off, it will be in exchange for an unbounded licentiousness, passing, as is usual, from one extreme to another. It would be a miracle were they to stop precisely at the point of temperate liberty. These principles, with their language, they will transmit to their children. In proportion to their number, they will share with us the legislation. They will infuse into it their spirit, warp and bias its direction, and render it a heterogeneous, incoherent, distracted mass… If they come of themselves, they are entitled to all the rights of citizenship: but I doubt the expediency of inviting them by extraordinary encouragements.” – Thomas Jefferson: Notes on Virginia Q.VIII, 1782. ME 2:118
The illegals we have here have done just that: come for the "extraordinary encouragements."

Without those "encouragements" of privilege that we ascribe to our illegals that are found no where else in the world for others...  they wouldn't be here and they wouldn't keep coming.

"Comprehensive immigration reform" should be limited to eliminating any program that makes this an attractive option.

"Comprehensive immigration reform" should be limited to the confiscation, imprisonment and fines for those who hire illegals.

"Comprehensive immigration reform" should be limited to requiring schools and hospitals to identify illegal aliens and notify ICE so they can deport them.

"Comprehensive immigration reform" should be limited to disqualifying anyone here illegally from EVER becoming a citizen or legal resident.

"Comprehensive immigration reform" should be limited to making it illegal for illegals to own property, or to sell them property.

"Comprehensive immigration reform" should be limited to eliminating illegals from our school and social program systems.

"Comprehensive immigration reform" should be limited to refusing housing to anyone who can't prove their status.

If you take THESE steps, the illegal alien problem will take care of itself... because they will leave of their own accord.

If you FAIL to take these steps, as we failed the LAST time we did a "cure all," then 10, or 20, or 30 years from now.... guess what?

If we survive as a Nation?

We'll be doing this all over again.

The freeholder game show.

We notice that with the loss of the fringe-left majority on the county commission, the hypocrites on the left and in the democratian (but I repeat myself) are suddenly much more amenable to the idea of home rule.

The reason is clear: they see it as the only realistic way to overturn the election that was such a disaster for the left last November: both for the fringe left generally and the CRC Scammers specifically.

What was unthinkable to them just last year now, suddenly, has the veneer of respectability that now makes it acceptable to those who did everything they could to crush that effort in 2012.

Strange how time can, apparently, make you wiser, eh?

And how odd that those were loudest in their opposition when the left was calling the shots now, suddenly, think that there's a HUGE need for this effort.

Morons on the left like Michael Briggs babble this kind of garbage:

  • Mike Briggs · Top Commenter · Freelance Writer at Freelance Writer
From my view many people, too many people, do not know what this Freeholder election is, what it does or why they should even get involved. This is very unfortunate.

I believe this event, the election of these 15 Freeholders, could be a real turning-point for SW Washington and Clark County. This is truly a unique opportunity, "for the average Jack or Jill", to be able to work with others, just like them, to be heard...but more so-- too effect real change here in the governing of the citizens of Clark County.

I have heard and seen So Much unhappiness and uncertainty with the citizenry since the elections of our last set of Clark County Commissioners. People are not just angry...they are afraid. And I believe this is rightly so. You now have a government which truly does not regard what the people want, but in reality and in my opinion, what one man, David Madore, really wants and will have-- if we let him.

Folks, this is not the democratic way, the American way, this is the way of a bully, a despot and a tyrant. Please step forward, become involved, do your part to become part of your own government.

    The time is now.
Well,no... the time was actually last year, when fellow leftists Stuart and Boldt killed the freeholder movement while scum like Briggs and the democratian stood on the sidelines and cheered.

In the commissioner districts not served by Stuart, the anti-CRC vote will win the majority for the entire county.  The likely outcome of this for the left will be more abysmal news and even deeper political loses.

See, scum like Briggs call losing an election... badly, I might add... results in those being elected classified as "bully, a despot and a tyrant."  Of course, everyone of dull-normal intelligence or better disagrees with Briggs, and anyone elected to anything who doesn't do what he wants gets this kind of treatment.

In the end, Mikey and the rest of the playground morons should be careful what they ask for: they just might get it.

Laird: out with a whimper.

One of those most responsible for the demise of the CRC Scam was now former democratian  editorial page editor John "Pit Yorkie" Laird.

Along with Lefty Lou Brancaccio, these two were the most responsible for damaging the shtick of the CRC Scam while abandoning the tenets of journalism like clock work.  Those two morons did more to galvanize the opposition than all the lies, attacks and exaggerations of the downtown mafia combined.

Early on in this battle, Lefty Lou showed his continuing lack of skill in either deliberately, or incompetently, misreading the growing hatred of the Scam.  Lou started the lie process by refusing to acknowledge that any opposition to the CRC Scam actually existed.   In April, 2009:
I'm not here to say we always get it right. We try to ask the tough questions and hold folks accountable. Something else to consider, there isn't always "equal" opposition on issues. So we often hear "why didn't you quote the other side?" There isn't always another side. If you take school bonds and levies for example there usually is a very organized side in favor of them. Not so much on the other side. So it's not always easy to find the other side. And it's even more difficult to find equal numbers on the other side. There may be hundreds of folks mobilized on the pro side of a school bond. You might be lucky to find one or two on the other side.
Lefty Lou's lie?
So we often hear "why didn't you quote the other side?" There isn't always another side.
Of course there is "always another side."  But there isn't "another side" when you do nothing... and I mean NOTHING... to find it.

But, for example, to come to this blog and read of the opposition to this rip off many times a day as the democratian does (Software clearly shows 5+ visits a day) and then claim there ISN'T any?

Well, that's just a flat out lie of the variety Lefty Lou is known for.

Multiple propaganda pieces, multiple made-up polls, multiple lies that he couldn't find opponents tio quote for that bizarre journalistic concept of getting both side of a story... until, one day, David Madore entered the arena and began the process that's ultimately led to slaying the CRC dragon.

Lefty's censorship of people and information, such as the Oregon Supreme Court decision some 18 months old that lay out all of the lies behind the CRC Scam which this joke ofr a newspaper has yet to publish some 18 months after the fact goes to illustrate the many inconvenient truths of dissolved integrity and a desire to lie to the people utilizing the Jesuitical argument that the "ends justify the means."

Along the way, however, the pit yorkie became something of Lefty's hit man.  Brancaccio would attack any of those he hated like a playground bully, knowing that his victims (Of which I'm proud to say I am one) could never fight back on a soap box anywhere approaching the size of the one that Scott Campbell stupidly gave to him.

Laird, a fringe-leftist whack job of the new school, began a campaign to Rule 5 anyone smart enough to trash Lefty Lou's garbage pieces.
“Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.”
“…you do what you can with what you have and clothe it with moral arguments.”
- Saul Alinsky, Rules for Radicals
That's Laird in a nut's shell.

I won't rehash his slavish efforts to emulate his fellow radicals' conclusions.  Those are well known, although his sordid efforts of hatred reached it's heights when this slimy worm coined the phrase to discribe those of us wise enough to oppose their 4th Reich vision as "cockroaches."

Shades of Laird's hero, Goebbels and his untermenschen... or "sub-humans."

I, OTOH,  have fought this rip off from the very beginning, recognizing it for what it was: government corruption and arrogance at it's worst.

My first post attacking this scam April 5, 2005:   From the Right Corner: The transportation budget and the 15-cent gas tax increase.  I wrote then:
But we do not need a replacement for the I-5 Bridge as a subterfuge to further the discredited idea of light rail. We do not need a newer, stronger I-5 bridge that leads to the Delta Park bottleneck. We need ADDITIONAL capacity over the Columbia River, a bridge out of the Camas area as well as one out of Ridgefield.

But painting a pig means that in the end, all you’ve got is a painted pig. And a new I-5 bridge that adds light rail while doing nothing to the Delta Park bottleneck is a total waste of time and money.
Shortly after the opposition became so big these scum couldn't ignore it, primarily in the form of David Madore, the jerk known as the "pit yorkie" began to attack: no lie they wouldn't tell, no exaggeration, no twisting, no attack on character or integrity, not caring then that they both, "Pit" and "Lefty," sacrificed what little they had of either by ignoring the needs and wants of this community in the name of their own agenda, instead fighting for the special interests that they would so, otherwise, despise when it suits them.

This was but an outgrowth of their fringe-left tenets, which extend in many other areas as well.

In the end, however, these slime lost.  Lefty Lou, our resident intellectual coward, suddenly seems to have become tongue-tied... or is it keyboard-tied?  As weeks go by without the suddenly reticent editor of the Pravda Izvestia on the River discussing yet another in the series of crushing political defeats which serve to show how irrelevant this manure producer has become, we're left to ponder his words channeled through anonymity in editorials that this hack is far too cowardly to sign:
If there is anything this new journey does NOT need, it's a rear-view mirror. To CRC supporters (including The Columbian's editorial board): It's over. Time to move on. To CRC critics: There's no need to carry old grudges. They're especially unbecoming after a decisive victory.
Oddly, Brancaccio seems reluctant to direct this message to the whiny little punks who can't let it go:

Scumbag Timmy "The Liar" Leave-it and the obviously brain-damaged governor of this state,  Jay Outslee, who appears to have played way too much football without a helmet... and who both, recently, threw a hissy fit over their failed ripoff attempt ion the CRC Scam.

Brancaccio wrote about crap that is irrelevant to the moment, the pit yorkie continued to gnaw on ankle bones of the Anti-CRC opponents over issues not related to the downtown mafia's defeat.

Because neither of them have the guts to admit they were wrong, or to apologize for damaging this community.

The Pit Yorkie came in with a whimper, and went out with a whine.

He won't be missed: Baghdad Bob could replace him and it would be a refreshing change.  And no one will long for the days of "Laird," any more than they long for the days of that ego-maniac Keonninger.

So long, Johnny-Boy.  Take your namesake of a column with you and do us all a favor:

Don't come back.  We'll be much better off without you.

When Molehill becomes a pathological liar... again.

When The CRC Scammers talk about their fetish, they usually lie.  Repeatedly.

Jim Moeller (Like Gov. Outslee) is no exception.

In response to Outslee's lie that the Senate had offered " no compromise," easily disproven by reviewing Sen Curtis King's position paper on the CRC dated from back in January:.

Thursday, January 31, 2013

Updated with letter: Sen. King, Washington Senate Transportation Co-Chair, makes his case to "fix" the CRC, INCLUDING the elimination of loot rail.

I am completely opposed to the CRC.  Loot rail or no, what we need here are ADDITIONAL bridges, not to replace an already paid-for bridge that's perfectly functional, perfectly safe, and has several more decades of service left to give... a not even thinly veiled plan to scam us with loot rail, making this the most expensive loot rail scam in history.

Sen. Curtis King (R-14th District) represents part of Clark County and serves at the Transportation Committee Co-Chair in the Senate.  He sent out a list of what amounts to demands concerning this massive waste of time, energy, effort and money today, making it clear that if these conditions are not met, the $450 million the CRC Gang are wanting to rape us for will simply not happen.

The conditions?
The bridge must have a height that will serve at least 98 to 99% of all traffic, current and future.  The current plan by the CRC is not acceptable.

The project "...must increase the flow of traffic and commerce over a vital interstate highway."

We need to eliminate costly and inflexible light rail.

There must be "fiscally prudent transit options" over the bridge.

The bridge must be ten lanes, a bus lane each way and 2 plus HOV lanes.

Download .Pdf

While I don't support the project at all, the heads exploding among the downtown mafia/CRUDEC/Chamber of Horrors and WADOT types supporting this rip off makes me very happy about this letter.

In one letter and 2 weeks of a single legislative session, Sen. King and his allies have accomplished more than Ridgefield Barbie has in 5 years of wasted elected tenure.
It's bad enough that scum like Outslee and Molehill believe they have to lie to get their projects passed...

But this kind of revisionist history will not stand.
  • Danielle Hinton · Hockinson, Washington
It's too bad that Stevie did not find it necessary to dig a little deeper. The Republican led Senate did offer compromises this year that included a transportation package with no LIGHT RAIL. But the governor said he would veto any transportation package that did not include light rail. Governor Inslee is the one who refused to compromise. His idea of compromise was for Rivers, Benton and King to roll over and allow him to do what HE wanted.
    • Jim Moeller · Top Commenter
Danielle: I'm unsure what legislature you're talking about? There were no transportation packages that were offered by the senate. No hearings on anything either from the House or the Senate. Sen King did come up with a proposal at the end of the 2nd special session (that he never heard) that he said (publicly!) that he himself wouldn't vote for! As far as the governor is concerned, he says a lot of stuff during session - that's not necessarily where he ends up but the fact of the matter is that the Senate Republicans offered NOTHING, nada, zip, zero, zilch as far as a transportation revenue package.!
    • Carolyn Crain · Top Commenter · Vancouver, Washington
Jim that is a lie! I personally testified at the senate transportation hearing. Conversation was held and comprimise offers were made. You are not being honest and that begs the question when will the people vote for an honest representative in the 49th! The locals here do not want what Inslee refused and anyone who reads the news read his statement of refusal to the senate on the removal of light rail.
(Yes, Danielle is my wife.  No, I did not tell her what to write in an effort to circumvent the democratian's effort to censor me.)

The letter is out there.  Both Outslee and Molehill damned well know it was out there.  Further, it was Outslee's decision to kill off the CRC directly by vetoing the $81 million that was left on the table in an effort to keep it alive until the Coast Guard killed the deal by refusing to approve the still-bogus permit that the Scammers think they can get.

And what was the CRC Scammer's replay to the letter?

Well, here's Molehill's, since it's not like he didn't know it was out there:

  • Jim Moeller ·  Top Commenter
Sen. King is essentially asking for re-design "do over". A new bridge design that would put us out of the federal funding window for a generation. Over 10 years of study, 160 million dollars spent by both states, expert review
panels, six independent governmental agencies approval, a locally preferred alternative and a federal record of decision have already been completed. Sen King proposes 10 lanes, BRT instead of LTR and a lift section among others. All these ideas have evaluated and rejected through an extensive, professional and local process.

Never mind that Molehill knows the so-called "local process" was a corrupt scam from the beginning, as spelled out by the Oregon Supreme Court some 18 months ago:
The Oregon Supreme Court has succeeded in doing what scores of public meetings, thousands of pages of reports, and endless public relations spin could not: Give us the original rationale behind the proposed $3.5 billion Columbia River Crossing.
.
The answer, according to the court: The massive Interstate 5 bridge and freeway project is a “political necessity” to persuade Clark County residents to accept something they previously didn’t want—a MAX light-rail line from Portland to Vancouver. (To read the Feb. 16, 2012 Oregon Supreme Court decision regarding the Columbia River Crossing Project, click here (PDF, 18 pages))

Meanwhile, the compromise offered by the senate that Molehill and Outslee refuse to acknowledge included removing loot rail from the bridge and raising the height so we didn't have to waste hundreds of millions in mitigation so these scum could get their loot rail into Vancouver/Clark County.

Just one of the many reasons to oppose this scam is that it's supporters are typicvally reduced to lying about it.  Their massive arrogance, like that displayed by that communist from the 49th above, where they ignore genuine history is the kind of thing that resultsd in the default position on projects like this being "no."

This project is dead.  It is going to remain dead as long as the senate has the MCC.  Neither Moeller nor Outlsee getting their panties in a bunch and continually lying about what has happened, what is happening and what is going to happen will change any of that.

Clearly, the Clown Posse didn't learn anything from their debacle.  All they can do is double down on their lie quotient in an effort... a failing effort... to keep their idiocy alive.

Memo to Molehill: lying doesn't strengthen your case... but it does strengthen mine.

Idiot.

Another week goes by, and Lefty Lou maintains his silence on the CRC Scam blowing up.

You think it's because he's finally... too late... figured out that his babble, along with that of the pit yorkie's... is radioactive to their scam?

Yes, another week has come and gone since the implosion of the CRC Scam and the Leftist has yet to address it directly in one of his fictional columns.

Instead, we get gibberish that's essentially meaningless.  This week, for example, he regales us with more of his traveling circus about how he's wasting the rag's money on his travel budget... as if we cared... and one wonders: does he really have to brag about all the vacations he's taking on the company dime?

That said, if Scott Campbell wants to waste his money on sending Brancaccio all over the country, that's his business.  But how pathetic is it that all Lou's got to mumble about is a "Star" subscription, what a couple of veteran's had to say (It's just a damned shame that Leftists like Lou never bothered to serve their country) not only once, but twice for two weeks in a row, no less; and then he babbles about how he and his fellow scum should be even more arrogant and obnoxious when they use twitter.

Odd, that, considering his hypocritical moralizing over civility.

(And Lefty, not all the feedback you got on the veteran column when you should have been talking about the CRC Scam was "positive."  Instead of YOU actually addressing the massive shortfalls of YOUR project... that you've beaten the opposition to a pulp over so many years for.  Where's your demands for accountability?  Where's your demands for investigations?  Where's your demands over rooting those who supported this idiocy out of office and out of their jobs?

No where.  Because that's how you roll.)

And tomorrow: the pit yorkie's FINAL column of community pollutants!

Hey, what more can you ask in a blog post?  Bitch slapping Lefty Lou Brancaccio over his ongoing intellectual cowardice on the CRC Scam, and mention of the democratian scumbag's final column.

Sweet!

When Gov. Outslee plays moron.

It's unfortunate that the only choices we had for governor were between a leftist (McKenna) and a far leftist (Outslee) because either way, we loose.

But this exhibition of lies and stupidity on the part of Gov. Dimbulb is hard to beat:
Washington Gov. Jay Inslee tours the new Henrietta Lacks Health and Bioscience High School in Vancouver's Evergreen School District on Friday.
Washington Gov. Jay Inslee tours the new Henrietta Lacks Health and Bioscience High School in Vancouver's Evergreen School District on Friday.

A group of Clark County business leaders told Gov. Jay Inslee on Friday that they weren’t ready to surrender just yet on the Columbia River Crossing project.
Inslee told them he will do everything in his power to try to move the CRC forward before a crucial Sept. 30 federal deadline for the project, but apparently nothing has changed since the Legislature’s second special session ended June 29. The legislature, which was asked to commit $450 million to the project, has adjourned without doing so, and the CRC offices have already begun shutting down.
Inslee, a Democrat, called state Sens. Don Benton, R-Vancouver, and Ann Rivers, R-La Center, a brick wall to economic progress in the state, because of their efforts this year to block money for the CRC.
“The road to this bridge runs through two senators from this region,” Inslee told the group while on a tour of Clark County. “Those two senators have stymied any progress on this bridge project. … Until that changes, there’s not a lot I or you can do about that.”
Even if the controversial CRC project had been removed from the list of projects in this year’s $10 billion transportation revenue plan, the bill still would have died, Inslee said. That’s because the conservative Senate majority caucus simply declined to advance it, he said.
“Zilch, bupkes, zero,” was how Inslee described the mostly-Republican Senate majority caucus’ effort to move forward on a transportation package. “There was no plan. … We had no vote on a transportation package in the Senate this year. There was no compromise offered. There was no project list. There was nothing.”
Inslee emphasized that transportation improvements are vital to the state’s economy, and companies consider traffic and freight congestion when deciding where to locate and expand.

Leaders disappointed

The 25 business leaders Inslee addressed in Camas during Friday’s roundtable talk thanked the governor for investing his political capital in fighting for the CRC this year. They also spoke of their disappointment in the project’s failure and about what could have been.
John Rudi, president of Thompson Metal Fab, said it was too bad that the height of the proposed bridge was used by critics to attack the project. Thompson Metal Fab was one of the businesses upstream from the Interstate 5 Bridge affected by the height issue. The company would have received mitigation money from the CRC for a loss of future revenues caused by the CRC’s lower bridge height.
“You’re never going to build a bridge high enough to satisfy me, and that’s OK,” Rudi told Inslee, adding that the cost to raise a bridge high enough to accommodate all river users would be “astronomical.”
Thomas Hickman of Oregon Iron Works, another business that would have received mitigation dollars, said if the CRC’s demise eliminates the chance to secure federal dollars for a new bridge, then his company loses the chance to create more jobs. Oregon Iron Works helps construct bridges, and the federal dollars would have required that the CRC contract with U.S. companies rather than cheaper overseas suppliers.
“It would have added literally thousands of jobs,” Hickman said. Oregon Iron Works and Thompson Metal Fab are “two of the largest bridge builders left in the western United States.”
At a later press conference, Inslee said his goal at the Camas business meeting was to regroup on the CRC following the 2013 legislative session, and to make sure the community knows who dropped the ball on the transportation package and the CRC. He said he met with Rivers and Benton several times to try to change their minds, but no line of reasoning worked.
When reached for comment Friday, Rivers reiterated that the CRC project was too flawed to accept. Even though Thompson Metal Fab and Oregon Iron Works are behind the project, the proposed bridge height of 116 feet over the Columbia River would still prevent other companies from locating upstream of the I-5 Bridge, she said.
“This bridge actually poses an economic development threat,” Rivers said. She added that she is working with legislators from the 49th District in Vancouver to try to come up with a different path to address problems on the current Interstate 5 Bridge.
“I am hopeful that the governor will get back to the table” to discuss other options, Rivers said.
As Inslee and some business leaders continue to beat the CRC drum, the CRC office in Vancouver has started the shutdown process. About half of the CRC staff has been let go. The remaining staff, paid with leftover federal planning dollars, are working to archive information and tie up other loose ends.
“All closeout activities, with the exception of public disclosure and contractual obligations, will be concluded by Sept. 1, 2013,” Washington Transportation Secretary Lynn Peterson said in announcement earlier this month.
What part of "no" do these slimeballs not understand?

This is genuine idiocy on Outslee's part.  There is no support for this rip off in these two districts of any real numbers.

If this moron, who refused to compromise on loot rail, thinks coming down here and beating on these two senators is going to accomplish anything, he's more brain damaged than it appears to the casual observer... and that's saying something.

In addition to his other character flaws, you can add "pathological liar" to his resume'.
As always, my position is that if you have to lie to get elected (Leave-it) or to get your project built (the CRC Scammers)  then it shouldn't BE built.

When this simple idiot lied through his tooth by babbling: "There was no compromise offered," Mathieu SHOULD have asked him this:

"Governor, were you ever approached with a compromise where light rail was taken off the bridge and the bridge height was raised to the current level of the bridge we have now, and is that not, in fact, a "compromise" that you claim was never offered?"

Of course, the dim bulb was either too stupid to ask that question or ordered not to hold the brain-damaged moron of a governor accountable for his lies.

Either way, the people of this community were lied to... again... by the newspaper.

And that just seems to be par for our course.
And this stupid son-of-a-bitch never ONCE offered ANY compromise.  It was ALWAYS "no loot rail, no bridge."

And see, that's how the fringe-left whack jobs like Outslee operate:  if there's "compromise," THEY ain't the ones who'll be doing it.

Some compromise.

Why the left generally and the CRC Scammers specifically have to be such lying scumbags remains a mystery.

Meanwhile, beating on two senators who are doing a brilliant job of representing their districts without offering any compromise on HIS side of this issue shows that the moron running this state played too much football without a helmet.

College Republicans Denied Admittance to Obama Speech

Text

President Obama was bound to receive a warm response from the audience attending his speech at the University of Central Missouri yesterday — because some students who disagreed with him weren’t allowed into the building.

Christopher White of The College Fix reports that students wearing “Tea Party T-Shirts and others who wore patriotic or Republican-inspired clothing” were turned away at the door under the guise of security concerns, despite the fact that they held tickets to the event.

I’d like to offer a helpful tip to all College Republicans who hope to attend an Obama speech in the future: Odds of admission improve if you wear a Che Guevara t-shirt, an “I Heart Kim Jong Un” campaign button, and/or a ballcap displaying the slogan “Obama Girl” prominently above the brim.
The "post-racial president" is the president of everyone, regardless of party affiliation, including those smart enough to disagree with him.

The idea of keeping our political opponents from the other side merely because they may not agree with your obviously self-imposed fantasy world is cowardice of the highest order... not unlike that of our local congresswoman, come to think of it.

You won, Barry.  No need to be a scummy low-life about it.
