My goodness, I appreciate the links but let's not get paranoid here. For example, what's wrong with the "price of a free society" video? Not prosecuting people for their thoughts, only their actions, is bedrock American jurisprudence. That dork was kicked out of college for acting insane but he never actually DID anything (until now). He should probably have been committed but who’s going to pay for it? Criminals get free healthcare – not honest but insane people.

ReplyDeleteMental health services in this state were not cut for purposes of budgets... but instead, for purposes of civil liberties.
For a long time, it was a violation of the law, for example, for children to run away. That law was thrown out by the state supreme court and replaced with a toothless Becca Bill, because, don't you know, democrats opposing this bill assured us that the ONLY time children run away is if they're physically/sexually abused.
They were wrong, of course, but still no effort has been made to give the police the ability to return children to their family... along with the needed ancillary services.
This is illustrative of the mind set that brought us here under the guise of reducing restrictions on freedom.
Look at what we have to show for it.
