Guess which councilor candidate likes to text while driving? Marc Boldt

(FULL DISCLOSURE: I freely admit that I am totally opposed to Marc Boldt's election this time, just as I was last time, since he's completely sold out to the left; forgotten/ignored GOP principles, supports the CRC scam in it's entirety and wants to hang tolls around our neck for the next several decades that would destroy a great deal of small business in Clark County as a result.

NO candidate or campaign or anyone involved or in any way concerned with any candidate or campaign was aware of or approved or had input into this post.

Further, Marc Boldt is my brother-in-law, and I worked for him as his legislative assistant for 6 years while he was in the state house, 1994 - 2000.)

Marc is an interesting guy.

He's used that "Blueberry farmer from Brush Prairie" shtick almost as well as he's used that bogus "Servant Leader" thing that makes the ignorant wrongly believe that he gives a damn what you think.

Well, in addition to that skill set, he's also a truck driver of some renown.  When he's not knocking over street lamps (Camas, wasn't it?) he's playing politics.

It seems his brother is about to cash in; someone at Liz Pike's town hall a few days ago observed that Gary Boldt's farm, which was placed into the Growth Management boundary on Marc's watch, if memory serves, is about to be subdivided into 113 home lots.

Pretty penny, that.

Meanwhile, for whatever the reason, my brother-in-law candidate for county councilor cannot leave me alone.  And this morning, he kind of provided evidence that one of his many hobbies is texting while driving.  And in this case, the driving is taking place at the wheel of what appears to be a commercial truck.

Here's a snippet of the conversation.  It's the kind of thing he's been doing... the kind of thing where he has TWICE asked me to, in effect, beat him up using my blog and commenting on Facebook.

But in this day and age of a literal war on texting while driving... why would he do that?

It's this kind of irresponsible behavior that is so troubling.

How can we demand that our children put aside the temptation of engaging in any risky activity such as texting while driving, something that has caused so much pain, so much blood and so much death when someone who fancies himself capable of leading a county indulges in it out of his deep-seated, childish, playground anger?

Early on in all of this, I repeatedly indicated that my opposition to Marc was based only on his politics and not individually on the man.

Unfortunately, that has changed.

Marc has morphed into a petulant jerk... continents away from what he used to be.

I don't know what caused it.  But as a prospective constituent, I need to know that those we elect understand that I have a point of view that needs to be respected as much as the leftists he's come to be so enamored of.

With Marc, he has turned into an arrogant ass, an alleged bible-toting version of Jim "Molehill" Moeller, a man who doesn't give a damn what the people want or why they want it when it conflicts with his agenda... or the agenda his handlers give him.

This isn't all that he's texted me, of course.  But rest assured, it shows the same level of arrogance and faux Christian hypocrisy that enabled him to seek out and get the endorsement of a fanatically pro-left group like the Yong Democrats who were so radical they couldn't even endorse the actual democrat running.

This is a side of Marc few have seen.  But you have to know it exists and it's the sort of thing that makes my opposition to Boldt easier and easier as each day goes by.
