Won't be voting in the congressional race: Haugen drops opposition to the CRC.

Since I first met Jamie Herrera and she was moronic enough to compare her 11 year absence from the district right before Marc Boldt scammed her appointment to the vacant 18th District seat as being the same as military service, I knew she was a clueless waste of space.

Her lack of guts is ably illustrated by her cowardice in failing to hold open and public town hall meetings since she was squashed so badly at the one she DID hold that her handlers didn't want to let her loose in public.

Her game playing support of the CRC scam, replacing a perfectly serviceable, working bridge with one the same size and capacity (both having 3 through lanes) entirely for the purpose of ramming loot rail down our throats without a vote... and to put a $10 billion yoke around our necks that will result in ever-increasing tolls for generations to come... because, like most everything else in her life, she lacked the guts to put a stop to it... is just one of the many reasons I wouldn't be caught dead voting for her.

So, along comes Jon Haugen.

Both Jon and I are former Regular officers in the military; he a Naval Academy Grad, me a DMS/DMG from the University of Washington  AROTC; we both served around the world in various posts and positions; he as a pilot, me in Combat Arms/Administration and Force Modernization.

Jaime, of course, didn't care enough about this country to serve it.  Would have interfered with those internships and parties that were the gist of her background, both in life... and politics.

Jon is a fringe-left democrat... but one with a difference:

When it came to the complete scam of the CRC, he was more Republican than our alleged Republican... more Republican than, say, RINO Rob McKenna.

It took guts to oppose the vampire party that doesn't give a damn about the people; the impacts of this omnipresent tolling on families or businesses who rely on this disposable income.

So, Jim "My middle name is Hussein" Moeller led the charge successfully to have Haugen declared apostate and to throw him under the demo bus.

Until now.

Having dumped his opposition to the CRC scam, all is forgiven and he's now endorsed by the State Dems.

I was going to vote for him because he had the guts of his position on the CRC and the integrity not to back down... until now.

No purpose.  Both these people are leftists who now want to ram that crap pile down our throats without a vote.

Babs has ALWAYS supported the bridge/loot rail/scam because her handlers have required it.  Leave-it has beaten her to a pulp over the issue, and she's just sniveled a little bit and that was the end of it... but she never really meant to enable us to have a say... just like those running the CRC scam never wanted us to have a say.

And with that, I'll not be voting in the Congressional race at all.

  1. "Having dumped his opposition to the CRC scam"

    Are you sure?

http://haugenvet.com/issues shows him still being against it and I didn't see anything on http://votejonhaugen.com about the
    CRC.

    The Columbian article says:
"Haugen does not support the CRC, in part because of its $3.5 billion price tag."

Comments by Lew seem to agree:
"I like that Haugen sees the futility of the CRC"

  2. I'll double check... if he's still in... so am I.

  3. Haven, you neglected to post just when I said "I like that Haugen sees the futility of the CRC" or include my complete comment, "I like that Haugen sees the futility of the CRC and would like to support him, but he takes other stands too contrary to my views as well as his playing the race card on Larry Patella."

That was also before I looked at his new website where his statement against CRC no longer exists.

If he still strongly opposes it, why delete the statement of that fact?

Is he perhaps trying to play both ends against the middle?

  4. Lew,

Being specifically interested in whether Haugen supports the CRC and not whether anyone supports Haugen the rest of your comment actually seems out of place.

The haugenvet.com site still shows his anti-CRC stance. I can't give much weight to what his other site used to say because I simply don't know what that was or if / when it changed. If that is the case it is indeed concerning.

I do not know Jon's current CRC position (though I have emailed inquiring), but I'm not yet convinced he's flipped.

  5. I don't recall seeing this before (and have saved it off), but votejonhaugen.com/issues now has
    this:

    "Columbia River Crossing

We have spent over $200 million on a plan that the U.S. Coast Guard has said is not viable (the bridge is plan is too low over the river). The bridge at I-205 was completed in 1983 at a cost of $179.5 million, that should be our template. A supplemental, six lane, no light rail, no toll bridge could be built for less than $600 million at I-5 saving $3 billion. Leave the current safe bridges in place. If the citizen's of Clark County vote to build light rail in the future one of the current bridges could be ungraded and used for that purpose."

http://haugenvet.com/issues still also has the anti-CRC stance from yesterday (though I notice that the haugenvet.com main page now redirects to votejonhaugen.com which I think is also new so I would guess there's been some recent tweaks).

Now spell checking and a sitewide redirect to prevent an information disparity between the two sites aside, it appears he's still of the sane thinking that the CRC is not. Thus, I'm voting Jon. Now if he had a plan / commitment for what he was going to do to get his desired result I'd be looking for the contribute button.
