The county should have announced a plan to cut public employee pay, benefits and retirement.
Of course, that would have required a GOP majority on the commission that we don't have, but a guy can dream, can't he?
Both the Washington State Senate and House Republicans SHOULD have had proposals ready to go to rid ourselves of the Herpes of collective bargaining; proposals to cut pay, benefits AND retirement.
And the both the US Senate and House Republicans should have had their plans ready to go right now as well.
Where are they? Is the GOP THAT incompetent?
Of course they are.
Once again, we've missed a golden opportunity.
