From the Right Corner: There truly ARE lies, damned lies and the Cowlitz.

I was at last night’s Intergovernmental Roundtable over the Cowlitz Imposition. From the start, it was a highly informative yet occasionally comical session concerning the overview of electrical delivery and development as well as a snapshot of the current state of the modification of the 319th and I-5 interchange/off ramp system.

The comedy was the bizarre assertion that the modification of this exit and overpass would actually (and I am NOT making this up) BENEFIT the city of La Center to make it easier for people to commute to the businesses within that city.

WHAT BUSINESSES? Build this thing and La Center becomes a ghost town.

Many in the crowd laughed out loud at the unmitigated gall of “Phil,” the Cowlitz Member (who, like most members of the ”Cowlitz Tribe” looks to be as Indian as your average Swede) who continues the Barnett tradition of expecting the people he’s dealing with to, well, just be stupid.

But that was just the start.

As the meeting was winding down, Rep. Richard Curtis mentioned that, for the next meeting, he believed the two areas discussed should be the effects on the local education system and a presentation by the local opposition group, Stand Up for Clark County.

Well, ol’ Phil flipped.

Typical of the one-sided, MONUMENTAL arrogance of the tribe, Phil impugned everything about Stand Up for Clark County… but then, he again, STUPIDLY claimed that all SUFCC “wanted to do was make money out of this situation.”

That’s all THEY want to do?

Phil, obviously, is a major-league hypocrite, representing a Tribe of Major League hypocrites.

Phil went on to repeatedly show the true colors of the Tribe, whining and sniveling about a “book deal” and a “movie” that SUFCC was working on. (I mean… how DARE they… all you have to do to see the TRUE motives of anyone involved in this sorry situation is to vilify those who “want to make money out of this situation…” which, come to think of it, is EXECTLY what the TRIBE WANTS!)

Ol’ Phil went on to, again, stupidly claim that presentations were only supposed to be factual and that SUFCC only lied and mislead and so forth.

In short… SUFCC appears to be guilty of the very things that the Tribe has engaged in from Day One!

Here’s just another example.
Ol’ Phil flipped his lid over the use of the term “Megacasino” at the last meeting. He repeatedly denied that the Cowlitz was building a “Megacasino.” (See: “Gobellizing the message.”

Well, as it turns out, Phil was lying every time his lips moved.
