So, how does it go tonight for the GOP here locally?

The democratian, of course, revels in their leftist hatred: and a certain segment of those who know better can't wait to help them attempt to crush the party.

Tonight's drama is going to be the question of whether or not the GOP should get behind would very well could be a successful write in campaign, since the two candidates on the ballot, Marc Boldt (Full disclosure: Boldt is my brother-in-law) and Mike Dalesandro are both democrats... and likely could/would split the leftist vote.

This has caused a great deal of consternation among the RINO's: people getting involved that have left the party (As I freely admit I have) making legal claims reeking with bias for their candidate as if they, themselves, also had no very publicly left that same party when their noses were bent out of shape, (Right, Brent?) presuming to pass judgement on issues that, in reality, are both false and, none of their business.

Here's the reality: Marc Boldt didn't give a damn about being a Republican for at least the last three years, since that's how long he's held a Precinct Committee Officer seat without ever once having attended a meeting.  And it's fairly clear, based on how he was manipulated by the left while he was a commissioner, that he didn't care much about the GOP when he was a commissioner, either.

And now, he doesn't want anything to do with the GOP, save for those who will vote for him... meaning that he wants complete political freedom and a total lack of accountability so he can follow in the footsteps of democrat buddies who have come right out and declared that they don't give a damn what the people want or say, such as fellow democrat Steve Stuart:

This is exactly what Boldt is after and he wants the local GOP's help to get there.

He wants to be able to do exactly and completely what he wants to do without accountability to anyone, or any group, or any constituency.

Just... like... Stuart.

A large percentage of the GOP are of the left-leaning ilk.  Those, along with Marc, make the claim that David Madore is behind all of this... as is we, as voters, shouldn't judge Marc on his abysmal, democrat-type record as a county commissioner and Liz Pike's record in the Legislature because we're stupid and... oh yeah... David Madore is behind this.

Well, here's the situation the GOP faces:

They can bury their collective heads in the sand tonite, guaranteeing that democrat Boldt or democrat Dalesandro get elected, or they can unite behind the effort to elect a Republican.

It's simple, really.

Boldt is begging the GOP to reject a GOP candidate because he knows that were the GOP to actually see him for what he is and vote accordingly, between himself and the other democrat splitting the vote... he's essentially got no chance.

So now, all of a sudden, he's talking about "God" as if this rank dishonesty is God's Plan.

I continue to ask the question if Boldt talked about God when he was chatting with the pro-abortion Young Democrats.

I have yet to hear an answer but you can certainly draw your own conclusion.

In his own way, he strikes me as Jon Russell, turning that "God" thing on and off like a switch.

But he and his fringe-left democrat campaign manager will do anything... say anything... to keep the GOP out of this, thinking, perhaps wrongly, that to do so guarantees Boldt's victory.

Regardless of what the GOP does or does not do tonight, I am writing in Liz Pike.

If this county does not do that, then we certainly will wind up with the government we deserve.
