(FULL DISCLOSURE: I freely admit that I am totally opposed to Marc Boldt's election this time, just as I was last time, since he's completely sold out to the left; forgotten/ignored GOP principles, supports the CRC scam in it's entirety and wants to hang tolls around our neck for the next several decades that will destroy a great deal of small business in Clark County as a result.
NO candidate or campaign or anyone involved or in any way concerned with any candidate or campaign was aware of or approved or had input into this post.
Further, Marc Boldt is my brother in law, and I worked for him as his legislative assistant for 6 years while he was in the state house.)
Cruising around tonite when I stumbled across this:
Matters like the CRC he refused to allow us to vote on?
Matters like the CTran taxing district that was his idea?
Matters like the unconstitutional weapons confiscation ordinance he voted for back in 05, later telling me that the legislature had given them the authority and if I had a problem with it, I should take it up with them?
See, here's Marc's problem.
He doesn't CARE that HE is responsible for some of THE most divisive issues confronting this community during his tenure.
He's trying to hook his wagon to the fringe-leftist whiners tail.
Further, county government has a single function: governing Clark County. There's no regional responsibility or approach needed.
THESE are the kinds of things that cost him any chance last time... and it's not like they've gone away.
Imagine how different things would look today if Marc had only LISTENED to the people and governed as if what WE wanted actually mattered.
He didn't over his 8 years in county office before... why would anyone think he'd do anything different next time?
And how does someone with a record... an 8 year record... of ignoring the people as opposed to the special interests... expect everyone to forget all about that and pick him over two who have fought FOR the people and AGAINST those who own Boldt like the 13th Amendment was the 13th Suggestion?
