Love him or hate him, Sheriff Ross Mirkarmi has made a name for himself. Mirkarimi came to San Francisco in 1984. His accomplishments include co-founding the Green Party, being elected and serving as a San Francisco City Supervisor and graduating from the Police Academy.

Mirkarimi is not allowed to possess a firearm while he is on probation.
