The past 5 years have taught us that democrats engage in this sort of thing a great deal.  When someone claiming to be be a Republican wants to engage in the same kind of idiocy... then they're here.

Democrat Candidate Bob "I don't answer questions I don't like" Dingethal: Latest sacrificial lamb, unfortunately, to Jaime Herrera.

As I write this, it's been 134 days since I asked Dingethal what his positions are on the CRC Scam and repealing Obamacare.  He has now ignored me for 4.5 months.  As a prospective constituent, he has no right of any kind to ignore me, and I wouldn't be caught dead voting for him as a result.

Like every local democrat candidate, refuses to answer questions concerning their positions, which means they would lie or ignore those they disagree with even after being elected.

Oddly, I have voted for democrats running for congress in the past: for example, during the last cycle, after much internal discussion, I voted for Jon Haugen because he was correct in his opposition (Almost hatred) of the CRC Scam. Herrera always has supported it based on the fact that she's done nothing to stop it.

Combined with her cowardice on the mundane, day-to-day issues congressional issues of lacking the guts to have open town hall meetings to defend her inaction, she's unfit to be elected.

Ryan: No need to worry about another shutdown

House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said Tuesday that the country doesn’t need to worry about another government shutdown in January when the current stopgap spending bill runs out.

The government shutdown lasted for 16 days in October, after Republicans demanded that President Obama defund his signature healthcare law.

To avoid another shutdown, Ryan said either he and Senate Budget Committee Chairwoman Patty Murray (D-Wash.) would strike a budget deal or Congress would pass a stopgap keeping existing spending levels.

“Either of those two scenarios will prevail, and we will not have a government shutdown,” he said at theWall Street Journal annual CEO Council. “We will keep the government funding at the current level if need be.”

Ryan said that he does not believe there will be any brinkmanship over the debt ceiling in February either. He said Republicans now understand that a shutdown won’t stop ObamaCare because it is a mandatory program, not a discretionary agency budget line item.

Senator Mitch McConnell: Sell out on Obamacare:

In a break with tea party-aligned Senate conservatives, Republican leader Mitch McConnell announced he will not vote to block legislation aimed at preventing a partial government shutdown, even though Democrats intend to rewrite it to restore funds needed to keep the nation's 3-year-old health care law in existence.

Referring to a bill the House passed last week, McConnell's spokesman said Monday the Kentucky lawmaker supports the measure "and will not vote to block it, since it defunds Obamacare and funds the government without increasing spending by a penny."

The spokesman, Don Stewart, added that McConnell will vote against any Democratic attempt to restore funding for the health care law.

The announcement came shortly after Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said that anyone who votes to let the bill advance toward final passage will be choosing to allow the Democrats to restore the health care money by majority vote, one they will almost certainly win. "I think that vote disserves our constituents," he said.
