Truth to tell?
Maybe not so much.
As more consumers lose their health care coverage because of Obamacare, a woman from Washington State, quoted by President Obama as a success, finds out that her support for Obamacare falls short, as she cannot afford the Obamacare insurance plans after all, the Washington State Wire reported on Monday.November 18, 2013
Erik Smith of the Washington State Wire said that Jessica Sanford, whose letter was quoted by President Obama in October as a sign of success of his Affordable Care Act health care plan, now finds out that she cannot afford the health plans and much to her surprise, does not qualify for a tax credit either.
On October 21, 2013, President Obama spoke from the Rose Garden and read Stanford’s letter.
In her fan letter, she told Obama, “I recently received a letter from a woman named Jessica Sanford in Washington state, and here’s what she wrote. ‘I am a single mom, no child support, self-employed, and I haven’t had health insurance for 15 years because it is too expensive. My son has ADHD and requires regular doctor visits, and his meds alone cost $250 a month. I have had an ongoing tendinitis problem due to my line of work that I have to have treated. Now, finally, we get to have coverage because of the ACA for $169 a month. I was crying the other day when I signed up. So much stress lifted.”
After reading Stanford’s letter, Obama replied, “Now, that is not untypical for a lot of folks like Jessica who have been struggling without health insurance. That is what the Affordable Care Act is all about.”More:
Yup, Molehill has once again made a blithering idiot out of himself... but what else is new?
