The rank hypocrisy of the local left: county commission invocations.

Greg Jaynes, who I admit has been a complete breath of fresh air after the departure of the foul and malevolent swine he replaced, has come up with a column that is, dare I say it, interesting?

The fringe leftists around here... the, uh, Molehill ilk, as it were, have their collective panties in a bunch over the county commission's decision to begin commission meetings with an invocation.

As Jayne rightfully, and quite thoughtfully presents:
The Constitution, you see, makes no mention of religion, other than the Establishment Clause in the First Amendment: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." That seems pretty clear. Congress cannot declare, for example, that Druidism is the nation's official religion, nor can it outlaw, say, Zoroastrianism.
The leftists around here snivel mightily that our county commission has joined with other government bodies at most levels to invoke the assistance of God in our endeavors.

On the subject of the democrat-controlled organs of government, the US Senate, the State House and the President's attendance at the National prayer breakfast?

Silence.  The deafening chirp of crickets. No whining.  No sniveling.  No nothing.

And that, of course, is the thing.

This isn't about the nonsense over "church and state."

This is, instead, just another partisan hit job.  If it wasn't, these same hacks would be attacking Sen. Reid or Speaker Chopp.  But they're not.

And the word for that?

Hypocrites.

Religion has no part in this.  Invocation is just another issue the fringe left uses to attack the conservatives finally running the commission.

If they could figure out a way to attack them over the clothes, they'd do that.  The cars they drive, they'd do that.  What they eat for lunch... they'd do that.

With the unable assistance of the democratian helping them and providing them a platform, there is nothing... nothing... real OR imagined (Like this... garbage... "full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.") they won't use as an issue... real OR imagined.

Like this one.

Do the invocation... DON'T do the invocation.  I don't care; primarily because I believe that assistance isn't provided because anyone verbally requests it.  But to even begin to frame this partisan hackery as a religious issue, given the rank hypocrisy of these letter-writing swine over the same issues that take place every day, of every session, in those Houses of government even their fellow fringe-leftist whack jobs control... who do PRECISELY THE SAME THING in the face of their silence...

Pathetic.

But, particularly lately... "Pathetic" is how they roll.
