Lie one: the cost.  If we're close to lucky, the cost of this project will be twice what these scum are telling us.

Lie two: that only $450 million will get this done.  Where's the mention of hundreds of millions of dollars in tolls for the next 40 years? 

Generates a regional economic benefit of $5-8 billion

Sucks $100 million a year out of the local economy in lost disposable income that won't be going to the small businesses of Clark County dependent on that income.

Every effort to allow the people to speak at the polls shut down, censorship by the scumbag mayor of Vancouver and lies by those corrupt enough to support this steaming pile.

Stunning in it's breadth and depth of deception:  Clark County Commissioners reject this alternative, as does the city councils of Woodland and likely Washougal.

Further, THE most CRITICAL element of "approval," the people stuck with paying for this garbage, haven't been asked. 

Eliminates last national interstate bridge lift

Utterly irrelevant as a reason for anything. 

Improves crossing to modern seismic standards

Which could, of course, be accomplished for 10% of the monumental amount of money these scum would waste, without  raping us with tolls for the next 4 decades. 

Improves commute time and reduces congestion

We're spending billions to "improve commute time" by 1 minute and it will do absolutely NOTHING for congestion... a fact known, literally, for years. 

Reduces accidents and emergency bottlenecks

Purely speculative, the REAL locally preferred alternative of 2 additional bridges, built for 2/3rds the money would do the exact same thing.

As always, it's not just that these scum lie, it's that they do it so badly.

Nothing mentioned about bridge height issues, cost over runs, massive expenditures of tens of millions on sheer waste AND Washington taxpayer dollars going to rebuild or add to OREGON infrastructure.

This is the sickening level of tripe these people sink to, straight out of the Josef Goebbels/Barack Obama play book:
