Just like as a general rule, if those scum support something involving government, such as the ballpark scam or the CRC, it's probably a bad to horrific thing.
This is no exception to that rule.
The democratian hates the very idea of a county charter. They lie about WHY they hate it, but the fact is that what they fear and have opposed the most is even the possibility of a county-wide vote on the CRC scam. The very thought of a resounding NO to this rip off puts both the rag and CRC supporters in to paroxysms of terror.
The reasoning they use for their position is typical of both their hypocrisy and idiocy.
Remembering that there's no lie these scum won't tell if the proposed action can even remotely negatively impact their Hitlerian vision for us, I nearly blew chunks when I read this garbage:
When a wild goose chase clearly defines itself before it even begins, responsible travelers will decline to embark on the journey. Such is the case before Clark County commissioners as they ponder another expedition into the well-known futility of changing county government to a home rule charter. This represents new heights of scummery, even for THIS cancer on our community.
Another apt metaphor for this crusade is a solution in search of a problem. Voters have rejected a proposed home rule charter three times in 20 years, most recently in 2002. This micro-introspection of a macro-bureaucracy became so yawn-inducing in 2011 that county commissioners declined to even pull out the stethoscope. Seven public meetings were attended by a grand total of 113 people. (The level of interest might have been even lower than such a paltry number denotes, because there's no way of knowing how many people attended multiple meetings). In response, county commissioners correctly declined to pursue the matter further.
We'll see if the new board of county commissioners is equally perceptive. They could consider the matter this week.
What say, for example, that we replace the word "charter" with the words "light" and "rail?" HHhhmmmm?
A variation of this same "reasoning" could be used to oppose the same CRC these scum are so rabidly in favor of, could it not?
Every time this community has had the ability to vote on anything even remotely related to loot rail... what has the answer been?
So why is it that these scum apply ONE standard to a charter movement, and the exact opposite standard to the loot rail scam?
That the democratian opposes this in and of itself is reason enough to support it.
Particularly when they're reduced to lying in their efforts to stop something from happening... or start it, for that matter:
Back in 2011, activists also proposed electing commissioners by districts. Currently, they are voted on by districts in the primary, but subject to countywide election in the fall. In this way, keeping a county commissioner accountable to the whole county is a good idea. Electing them by district would create fiefdoms, with each commissioner ignoring the needs of two-thirds the county and committed to serve only one-third of local voters.Who knew the scum at the democratian opposed legislative districts? I mean, after all:
Currently, legislators are voted on by districts in both the primary and the general, but they should be subject to statewide election in the fall. In this way, keeping a legislator accountable to the whole state is a good idea. Electing them by district would create fiefdoms, with each legislator ignoring the needs of 48/49th's of the state and committed to serve only 1/49th of the people of this state.See, one of the biggest problems the scum at the Columbian have is their reeking, rank hypocrisy. Combine that with the same kind of lies they tell about the CRC scam (The ONLY reason these scum want the CRC is to ram loot rail down our throats) and you get to the truth of the matter:
The slime running the Columbian are terrified of a ballot result they don't want. Because it's very, very difficult to ignore the people when indisputable numbers call you a liar.
Now, for example, they can deliberately ignore reality by claiming the "no" side has no "proof."
Get this passed... and we will... and that will make your efforts to ignore us ever so much harder.
