Mike Briggs is one of the more fringe-left whack jobs around here, a rabid supporter of this rip off that will hurt tens of thousands of families and hundreds of small businesses.
But he doesn't care about that... or the truth:
His latest babble (This in the Columbian lackey Camas Post-Record)

I think the following points made by Council woman Plinski is key to this article:
“I looked at Yacolt’s resolution,” she added. “It was short and to the point. I’m not sold on this one.” Plinski said staying neutral could be a good option for the council, instead of going on record to oppose the CRC. “It could be seen as being anti-business or anti-government,” she said.
To me these are two very important issues for Washougal to consider.
Do we bond ourselves to Yacolt and with their decision to go public with an ANTI CRC stance? Or does Washougal stay neutral and not appear as ANTI BUSINESS or ANTI GOVERNMENT?
Putting forward a resolution that speaks to this rip off is neither "anti-business" NOR "anti-government."
What such a resolution IS, is PRO-PEOPLE.
Of course, as a leftist, Briggs could give a rat's ass about people when "people" might interfere with his fringe-left vision.
That's quite the democrat symptom around here... not giving a damn about the people.
NO business considering locating in Washougal will care either way.
Certainly, no business locating in Washougal will depend on the I-5 bridge one way or the other. Why Briggs believes he has to constantly lie about this is certainly beyond me.
But lie he is in his efforts to silence any opposition to this horrific, astounding waste of billions of dollars that trample the rights and opinions of the people he would, one day, want to govern.
Opposing the CRC could be seen as "anti-business or anti-government?"
ReplyDeleteNever mind CRC is definitely anti-middle class by stacking excessive debt, tax increases, license fee increases and job losses on the backs of the middle class.
Not only will it cost jobs today, it will curb job creation for as long as it stand by being the lowest point on the river for 190 miles!
And, middle class taxpayers will foot the bill through "mitigation" for lost profits as well as relocating 3 businesses outside of our community?
And Briggs is concerned about maybe looking like "anti-business or anti-government?"
Mike says...."I think the following points made by Council woman Plinski is key to this article:"
ReplyDeleteSo if I read that right, he says points is key?
Brilliant!
Briggs couldn't play nicely when he was on the Washougal Planning Commission a couple of years ago. He resigned all in a huff. He would have you believe he is some sort of bigshot. His credibility is something less than zero, IMO.
