The democratian: Misguided newspaper liars.

Let me lead this with the most brilliant summation of this situation I've read to date-

Written around the middle of the democratian's stupidity is this glob:  "As unbecoming as this whole thing feels, the CREDC will probably find ways to compensate for this funding loss."

To which a commenter replies:

In other words, the CREDC smoked light rail, but it didn't inhale.

It's not difficult to believe the propaganda swindle sheet known as a daily paper would throw a fit at any real effort to derail their agenda, so their childish response to the obviously effective actions by Commissioners Madore and Mielke to start the process of withdrawing taxpayer paid funds to all organizations and agencies supportive of the largest theft in the history of the Northwestern United States would result in petulant, playground crap.

The rag seems to ignore the fact that CRUDEC made clear that they did not need the County's (That is, OUR) money to do their thing.  So all this sack-cloth and whaling and gnashing of teeth?

Low-grade histrionics that makes the rest of the editorial typically worthless.

First, those who voted for these two in their races, are likely highly supportive of this action.  Elections have consequences that communist in the White House has been heard saying in the past; we've been assured for years by the constantly repeated lie that there's nothing the commissioners can do to stop the CRC scam, and now the consequence of their election may well test that out.

The people of this county have spoken.  They have spoken more than once.  The despicable used diaper of a paper doesn't like that we oppose the rip off; they hated the fact their pro-CRC scammers generally, and CRC lackey Marc Boldt in particular, were beaten at the polls like a rented mule.  But like we're constantly told by the left at all levels of government save county, "your guy lost.  Get over it."

The faux, playground, childish outburst of the rag would be comical if it weren't so hypocritical.

How the decision was made (It would have been made with or without Stuart's histrionics) is like all of the other democrat talking points they used in their editorial: irrelevant.  The 13 people that view this stuff on CVTV would likely have approved the action regardless.

THAT it was made is the real objection that paper has: that these two commissioners did ANYTHING to oppose the massive rip off of the CRC is what's causing the rag to flip out; no matter what.... no matter how.

For this rag to comment on how "good governments operate" is the supreme joke.

Good governments don't bury the people in debt.

Good governments don't allow an agonizing recession to continue for years and years and years.

Good governments LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE, and DO THEIR WILL.

If the concern was "good government," then Lou would be howling EVERY DAY against his hero Obama's efforts to destroy the one we've got.

Well, here's the memo, Lou:

Good governments don't ignore the people.

Good governments would not only allow, but they would seek out a vote on this scam.

Good governments would acknowledge a scam when that scam is proven and abandon it, precisely when the Oregon Supreme Court revealed the rip off of the CRC in its entirety.

And a good newspaper would have reported it.

Like most leftists, the rag is playing that idiotic "where's the jobs" card. Odd that this mold of a paper isn't concerned about the negative impacts of blow a $100,000,000+ a year hole in the local economy for the next 3 decades and what THAT will do to the jobs situation here.

Then the rag admits that CRUDEC supports the CRC, and then applies all of this opposition to light rail, as if most opposition wasn't to the CRC generally and loot rail specifically.  I'm fine with this as the opening salvo being fired against the entrenched slime who've been greasing the tank treads of this rip off as it runs us all over.  If it takes carpet bombing to get the job done, then so be it.

Then this leftist trash:

The fourth strike against Madore and Mielke is their warped interpretation of last November's failed ballot proposal to fund light rail maintenance and operation with a sales-tax increase. According to the Jan. 16 letter from Madore and Mielke to the CREDC, "voters took a firm position against light rail" in that election. Well, the two commissioners are welcome to feel that way; many others feel the same way. But the truth is, that ballot measure specifically proposed a tax increase, which is precisely why it was opposed by many light rail supporters such as the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, Identity Clark County and The Columbian.

Well, the slimy pro-CRC rag of a paper is welcome to feel that way, a few others in their self-serving denial feel the same way.

The ONLY reason these slime "opposed" this tax increase is they didn't want to be on the losing side.

Had this been, say, another CTran bus scam tax, you people would have been all over it.  You coming late to the party is as meaningless as most of your blather.

The commissioners absolutely DID interpret this correctly; an idiot would have no trouble figuring that out by looking at the differences in the vote between Incumbent anti-CRC Republican Mielke and Incumbent pro-CRC fake-Republican Boldt: 21,000.

And, of course, you COULD always put all of this to a county-wide vote.  Then the guess-work is blown out of the water.

In fact, I wouldn't at all be surprised if, over the next few months, the rag starts shilling for that very thing as this project fails to get the funding it needs to go forward.

And the forlorn and bizarre "hope" that this will "galvanize the CRC supporters?"

Good luck with that.  Both of them, relatively speaking, are likely highly upset.

So, after all that playground bullshit, the newspaper acknowledges the reality after this hissy-fit:

CRUDEC didn't really need county, that is, taxpayer, money after all.

The rag, of course, doesn't care about spending our money.  After all, they've got no trouble flushing ten billion of our dollars down the crapper... what's $200,000 more wasted?

And there should be no surprise that this high drama occurs with Madore new to the board of county commissioners. In the end, politicians make points any way they can.

You mean..... "making points" by doing the will of the people?

I have to agree: that's a fantastic way to "make points."

The vast majority of the people of this county oppose the entirety of the CRC.  They don't like having their wallets raped unnecessarily by special interests without asking us.

Clearly, the lie of this rabid dog editorial is just that.  CRUDEC and the rest of the downtown mafia have some soul-searching to do: keep supporting this rip off and lose county, that is, taxpayer paid government funding; or bail out like the people of this county have, and keep it.  Simple, really.

meanwhile, the rag had better crank up its hissy fit machine and keep it well lubed.  Because there is more.... much more.... to come.
