Why I'm now an independent.

In the old days, I used to be as hard core a Republican who ever lived.  I was completely enamored with the label "Republican."  What it was supposed to stand for.

Holding down the seat of the Executive Director of the Washington State Republican Party, my education into reality began.

The problem is that, like for so many democrats, their party has moved away from them in an impalpable direction.

As I review the bidding, I made a decision that I was not going to make political decisions just based on labels.

After all, alleged Republicans like Boldt, McKenna, Dunn, Finkbeiner, Wyman and so on have not only done little to differentiate themselves from the democrats, but in the case of the first four listed above, they've actually been co-opted by and replaced their integrity with the entirety of the democrat platform, aims and goals.  Democrat Tim Sheldon, a conservative from Mason County and a state senator, is more Republican than any in this crowd.

That just re-enforces my decision.

I loath democrat/socialist/communist polices.  To me, the terms are interchangeable.  And for me, I simply refuse to assign the label "Republican" to those who embrace the leftist goals of eliminating the "will of the people" from their deliberations on multi-billion dollar projects we don't need, such as the CRC, so they can enrich their friends and guarantee more campaign cash.

I make no bones about it: I used to feel that way about Romney, but the longer the campaign has gone on since the rest of the GOP has faltered, the more Romney has separated himself from the leftist meme he adopted in Massachusetts.

The fact is that Obama has been a horrific failure.  The question is: can we afford... and can the people of this country survive 4 more years of petulant incompetence of the variety displayed in the White House.

I believe that Romney will win.  I believe the wheels have come off the moron-in-chief's little wagon.

But the stupidity of the voter in Washington State never ceases to amaze and confound.  I hold no illusions about the outcome here in the presidential race: Washington is as left as downtown Moscow, and we'll follow along like the sheep we are.  That said, I also happen to believe that the concept of democracy is to allow morons to vote.

The system that I used is call the "more likely, less likely" system.

Locally, I do not want the CRC scam to ever see the light of day.

I'm sick of my taxes going up.

I'm sick of Boldt's gerrymander on the CTran district.

So, I ask myself: if Boldt and Jaime Herrera are retained, is it MORE likely, or LESS likely that the CRC rip off will be built?

If  Boldt and Jaime Herrera are retained, is it MORE likely, or LESS likely that my taxes will continue to go up?

If  Boldt and Jaime Herrera are retained, is it more likely, or less likely that the gerrymandered rip off of a Ctran district, supported by both of these clowns, will remain in place?

That these two claim to be Republicans is, of course, absurd on it's face.  My Cavalier Spaniels are more Republican than either of these two.

So, in these two, and in any other candidate, I always look beyond the label.

And when you strip off the wrapper on these two, they're as democrat as Moeller... who, come to think of it, has endorsed Boldt... his fellow democrat.

So, I oppose those candidates owned by the special interests,  I refuse to vote for them and wouldn't do so if Lincoln rose from his tomb and endorsed them himself.

But because the things that are important to me are not important to them... I don't want them in my government.  And frankly, I don't giver a damn what label they choose to wear.

What I care about is that they've sold their supporters out.  They've sold US out.

It's a simple system, really.  And to the now proven utterly worthless PCOA, you may come to find out their much more to the wanting, then their is to the having.
