His failure to respond to the attacks on the Embassy and Consulate, save for sending a whole 50 Marines and a couple of destroyers, sent the exact message our enemies knew would be coming:
He's a coward and it's open season on US Embassies and American embassy properties, like the Consulate in Libya.

SANA, Yemen — Turmoil in the Arab world linked to an American-made video denigrating the Prophet Muhammad spread on Thursday to Yemen, where hundreds of protesters attacked the American Embassy, two days after assailants killed four Americans in Libya, including the ambassador, and crowds tried to overrun the embassy compound in Cairo.
News reports also spoke of a protest in Tehran, where around 500 Iranians chanting “Death to America” tried to converge on the Swiss Embassy, which handles United States interests in the absence of formal diplomatic relations with Washington. Hundreds of police officers held the crowds back from the diplomatic compound, witnesses said.
For a third consecutive day at the American Embassy in Cairo, protesters scuffled with police officers firing tear gas, witnesses said, and the state news agency reported that 13 people were injured. In Iraq, a militant Shiite group, Asaib Ahl al-Haq, once known for its violent attacks on Americans and other Westerners, reportedly said the video “will put all American interests in danger.” Protests were also reported at American missions in Morocco, Sudan and Tunisia, where the police also fired tear gas to disperse crowds. There were also news reports that the authorities in Afghanistan had suppressed Internet access to prevent users from viewing the offending video online in order to forestall protests there.

More:
SANAA, Yemen -- American unrest escalated in the Middle East on Thursday as demonstrators burned U.S. flags in Yemen and protesters descended on the embassy in Cairo for a third straight day.
Security was increased at American embassies and consulates around the world after a mob of Libyans attacked the U.S. consulate in the eastern city of Benghazi, killing American Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans.
Wanis el-Sharef, eastern Libya's deputy interior minister, said Thursday the attacks were suspected to have been timed to mark the 9/11 anniversary and that the militants used protesting civilians as cover. He said an unspecified number of militants suspected of taking part in the attack have been arrested and that others were being closely monitored by police to see whether they are linked to a group. He refused to elaborate.
In Yemen's capital of Sanaa on Thursday morning, black smoke billowed into the sky from burning SUVs inside the U.S. Embassy compound. Hundreds of angry demonstrators tried to storm the building, chanting "death to America" and death for the American filmmaker who made an anti-Islam film that helped spark a deadly attack on the embassy in Libya and protests in Egypt.
And here's what I wrote yesterday:
We SHOULD have shot them. What troubles me the most is just some minor league political hack in a far off corner of the country.
But that cowardly empty-suited, anti-American racist bigot in the White House.... what did HE do?
Nothing.
So, failing to react, we can now expect to see this happen over and over... and American kids, out in harm's way, are going to die, needlessly, because this guy lacks the testicles of a gnat.
Jimmy Carter all over again. And how did THAT work out for us?
Scumbag.
Of course, the NY Times would blame it on a video... which is a crock of Grade A bullshit.
That's nothing but an excuse. The responsibility rests with the President.
And if *I* could see all this coming...
...why couldn't they?
